Aaron was by far the most professional sitter I've had stay at my house. He brought excellent and thoughtful questions to the interview. His communication was top-notch. I came home to my house just as I left it, and he washed my bedsheets for me. Best of all, he created a photo album of pictures of my cat for me to view on Google when I got home. That was just the sweetest thing ever and totally made my trip. If Aaron could be my sitter every time I leave town, I'd be delighted. You should definitely feel safe and comfortable having him at your home with your pets. Five stars. Highly recommend.
We appreciated Nancy taking care of our pets and home, but we feel it's important to let other pet owners know that we did have some frustrations and concerns. Most notably, Nancy booked a different sit at another home (without telling us until the day of) that overlapped with the last 24 hours she had previously committed to being at our home. This caused a bit of problem because one of our dogs has to be left in a crate when we're out of the house, and because Nancy decided to leave before we returned from our trip, we were very concerned about our dog being left in a crate for too long. We do believe that Nancy came back to our place briefly, after starting her next (overlapping) sit, to let that dog out of his crate a bit, but we didn't get any pictures or texts so we're not 100% confident that she actually did. With all that said, Nancy was a kind person, and certainly had good intentions. We felt she was less competent and less reliable than most of our previous sitters, but I wouldn't tell someone else not to book her. I just think it's important to share this honest feedback, because to some extent we felt stressed during our vacation because of the housesitting situation.
Sarah and Dan were amazing! They listened really carefully to our directions and took our large dog on wonderful long walks in the hills and at the beach. The house was spotless on our return. They were so gracious and flexible when our plans changed mid trip. You could not have a more charming and caring couple with your pet. We are hoping to have them return!
We absolutely loved our pet sit at Katie's. Truthfully, we were sad to have it come to an end. Ruby and Mousie were such companions to us while we were there. We enjoyed our walks with them on the easily accessible footpaths just across the road and loved all the cuddles. They are both easy to care for and are very well-behaved. The cats, Monty, Mittens, and Marmite are very self-sufficient but also provide loud purrs (especially Mittens) and petting opportunities. We were surprised by how much we enjoyed the chickens and all their varied looks and personalities. Both the ducks, guinea pigs, and fish were fun, too. Katie left great instructions on paper as well as personally showing us the routines. Katie and James' home is so lovely and the guest room where we stayed has an iconic view of the Stour Valley. Our pet sit at Katie's could not have been better and we highly recommend it to everyone.
