Sitting for Sheba and Rex was such a great experience! Sarah and Bob are fantastic people and I was able to meet with them twice before they left. We thoroughly reviewed everything and I felt confident going into the sit that everything had been covered. The house is a beautiful and peaceful bungalow in a great neighborhood in LA, I was very happy and grateful to stay in their lovely home. The yard smells like sweet, fragrant flowers and its very quiet even though its close to tons of shops and places to visit. The best part was Sheba and Rex, who are very sweet cats, they are calm, have great personalities and are easy to care for. I would definitely recommend to sit for Sarah and Bob, it was a great experience!
This was a purrfect sit from beginning to end! Linda and Richard couldn’t have been more warm, welcoming and thorough from our zoom call up to and including the five days of the sit. They left helpful handwritten notes along with a thorough welcome guide, so they made my tasks super easy to follow. The kitties, Cleo and Crickett, were calm, sweet and low-maintenance. They made my stay totally relaxing and cozy. Crickett kept my lap warm here and there, and we played occasionally (though she does like to sleep a lot like any older kitty), while Cleo was on the skittish side but after she had seen me a few times stopped hissing and hiding. And she is certainly gentle and sweet. Their home is a very inviting, beautifully and warmly decorated and furnished historic house with amazing waterfront views onto a tidal river. A public dock with a little waterfront park is a 5-second walk down the road. There are so many inviting reading books and sitting areas, I barely got to use most of their spacious home. The bed was super comfy. The house is on a peaceful, residential (sparsely inhabited) island but only about 10 minutes from a supermarket and easy driving distance to many villages with lovely boutiques and restaurants even open off-season. Every day I was torn between exploring coastal and river towns vs just soaking up the relaxation of their home with these wonderful cats! Honestly, Linda and Richard made me feel so at home (including a generous homemade baked macaroni and cheese waiting to be heated up!), I felt pampered even without their presence. I highly recommend this sit, though selfishly I hope they’ll want me back when our dates line up! Thank you so much for everything, Linda and Richard!
Maja and Mike were great. They welcomed us into their home and it was great to visit with them the night before their departure. We fell in love with Bailey and Luna. Bailey was a bit apprehensive at first but within a short time they both were happy to cuddle up on the couch with us. They love to walk and are so well trained. Mike and Maja were very helpful with suggestions about the area. There are a couple great trails right by and the beach was within walking distance. There is also a little shopping area with a coffee shop/bakery, brew pub grocery store etc. on the way to the beach. We would be happy to return to Maja and Mikes.
I had a wonderful time looking after Minnie. She is a beautiful well behaved dog with a lovely disposition. Yvonne was excellent to housesit for and gave me lots of information and was always available to contact for advice. Their house is so beautiful and the location is the perfect English countryside escape.
This was my first house sit on trusted house sitters and it set the bar so high! Anca was very kind and communicative - she explained what to do very clearly and showed me a lot of things to do nearby. Mister and Vlad were so cute and easy to take care of. I enjoyed playing with Vlad and relaxing on the couch with Mister. The place is very warm and inviting (more decorated now than the photos) and has everything you could need. Anca left it super clean for me for both sits. It is a little bit away from the city but there’s a bus that goes into Geneva and it’s about a 10-15min walk into the cute town with cafes, shops, and grocery stores.
The apartment is so cozy and nice, and the location is amazing. Blue, Clive, and Fergus are also wonderful; they are lovely and easy to handle. However, when going for walks with Fergus, be cautious when kids or babies are around. He is not used to them, which makes him quite interested. There was an incident where he jumped up on a woman with a baby on her arm (in the dog park). It wasn't anybody's fault, but it's something to be prepared for. I love them all very much. Amber seemed a bit distracted. She changed the arrival time twice, and I ended up waiting for about 20 minutes in front of the house. Unfortunately, she didn't answer her phone or hear the doorbell.
