Ferrer was a joy to look after. He was extremely well-behaved, followed commands and was a great companion. Juan Pablo, his devoted dog dad, was also an attentive and a gracious host and communicator. Trancoso itself is a charming medieval village, well-served by a number of hiking trails including a well-appointed Camino trail and a beautiful Parque Municipal. I felt safe, found it accessible to supermarkets, restaurants, and other services.
Donna and I had the loveliest time meeting John and Liz and sweet Bee! We met the day before the start of our sit and had delicious home baked cake and hot tea. We couldn’t have asked for more clear instructions about the house and the care of Bee. John had put together a manual that covered all questions and possibilities. The garden is just unbelievable in person, and they graciously allowed us to use their master bedroom which has the most wonderful view. Shaftesbury is just the most quaint town with more history than you could ever consume. Sweet Bee was the highlight of our stay. No issues and easy to care for. She was a little sad that Liz and John were gone, but she seemed to tolerate us well. We miss her and would love to see all three of them again in the future!
I adored this sit! Erica & Alix were kind & communicative hosts. They made me feel right at home! The three kitties were easy to care for & each with such different personalities. Mr. BB is definitely the king of the house. He loves pets and cuddles - which was a win for me! Mr. Mango is so CUTE!! Once he comes around, he sticks around. He was constantly by my side and making me laugh. Ruby was a joy, too. I like to think Ruby thinks it’s their world, we just live in it. Ruby is very food motivated, so they will let you know when it is time to eat. The home was great! The record player was definitely a win for me - I played music a majority of my time… Erica & Alix have a great collection of records! The office space was just what I needed to WFH comfortably. My favorite part of the home was the outdoor terrace! It’s LOVELY! When the weather is right, it’s a perfect place to hangout, do some yoga, or dance in the sun. (: I recommend this sit if you’re looking for some peace in the city. It was wonderful!
I had the best weekend watching Karl! Karl is the sweetest, chillest, most well behaved love bug you’ve ever met. He was excellent on our walks, friendly with every person or pup we encountered, and a very good boy just hanging at the apartment. And he does love a good belly rub! Austen’s apartment was tidy and welcoming. It’s situated in the beautiful and convenient Woodley Park neighborhood of D.C. I really enjoyed exploring this area’s abundance of green spaces, running trails, and cool restaurants and bars. Finally, it was a pleasure meeting Austen! He’s a warm and welcoming host, and he’s excellent communicator; he was always a quick text away from answering any questions that popped up, or offering me some of his favorite restaurant recommendations. It would be a pleasure to come back and take care of Karl!
Lucy was a total sweetheart, she did take some convincing and carrying to go on a longer walk-and overall is simply a gem! Her medication is super easy and Sarah is quite communicative and helpful should you need anything. Also lovely spot in a great location. Especially if you’re going to be catching the subway or riding Citibike.
