Billy is a true gentle giant, with a very chilled nature, he is a pleasure to be with. Vicki and Brad's house is immaculate, in a great suburb and location, and easy to care for. We especially liked the beautiful and very private pool. Thanks Vicki and Brad!
Xena is so cute and adorable. She was a little apprehensive at first but once she finally opened up to me, she was incredibly sweet. And Mary’s home was the perfect place to explore San Francisco. On top of that, she was such an incredible host during and even after my stay.
John was very welcoming and left plenty of information for me. His home is spacious and comfortable. The position of this sit is brilliant. There are ample green walks from the house. It’s no huge stretch to be in the peaks! Equally you can walk to the city centre. Red is a great guide and good companion.
We had a great pet/house sit with Toffi! April was lovely, generous, easy to communicate with, and super welcoming. We spent the first night with her, she gave us a tour of the village while we walked Toffi, which was really helpful. We both enjoyed our time with Toffi, he is intelligent and affectionate, loves to play, and spend time with people. He's keen to yip and wants to chase after other animals (or children, or bags, or leaves...), but he's all bark and no bite. Very easy to distract or usher onwards, and was not difficult to manage at all! The house in saint-cézaire is centrally located, beautiful, comfortable, and secure. Everything you need (bakery, butcher, pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants, etc) is a minute's walk away. We would pet-sit again or have April house-sit for us without hesitation. Highly recommended!
Sitting for Bob and Zoe was a real treat for us, communication was good from the start and through our 2 weeks sitting with Clemmie and Hettie. We came up to Combe Hay the night before and had a yummy meal with Bob and Zoe. We were given simple instructions and shown around their lovely property. The house is situated in a perfect spot, quiet, peaceful and surrounded by green pastures and other cute stone cottages. While we were on our own, we had a fabulous time with the two pooches Clemmie and Hettie, both with different personalities and both Lovable. The great thing about this sit is: Sarah had Hettie ( likes to play and run ), I had Clemmie , who likes a bit slower pace in this world but also enjoys the walk through the grassy bushy fields, they both loved to hop around and get plenty of sniffs in!!! Bonus: a yummy pub ( highly recommended and rated) 5 minute walk from Bob and Zoe’s property. The neighbour’s were all friendly and curious, and we enjoyed all our conversations with them. Bonus: For us, being picked up at the train station and dropped off at the train station was a class act on our hosts end. Also the gourmet kitchen was a real treat!! A comfortable guest suite and comfortable rooms to read a book or yoga and meditation…. The outdoor front and back( were nice delicious produce were grown and eaten)were absolutely delicious. Next time we are invited we would definitely jump on it!! If you have a chance to sit here with Clemmie and Hettie, don’t hesitate!!
This sit will go down as one of our favorites of all time. The pets were absolutely wonderful: easy going, fun and social, and each with their own great personalities. I believe pets reflect their owners and it is so true in this home. Jayne and Mike's home is the same as they are: beautiful yet warm and comfortable. And the location is just gorgeous. The village had everything we could need all within walking distance. We arrived one day early to meet the fur babies and learn the house and we're immediately greeted as friends and felt completely pampered in our private guest suite! We arrived by train and they made things so easy for us. We appreciated so much the convenience/luxury of having them pick us up and drop is off to meet our transports. We have only had that offered once before. Yogi, Stella, Latte, Charlie and Bibi were so easy to look after....all they wanted was to be feed and loved. I had been really looking forward to caring for Yogi and Stella as I knew of the Maremmano breed and they were as good as I had hoped! So gentle and polite. Charlie had personality plus and kept us laughing, while Bibi took a couple of days to warm up and visit with us. And little Latte was a delight.... running with the big dogs but then becomes a snuggle bunny at night. Even the chickens were friendly, I got a chance to hold one and was shocked at how docile they are. We hope to make a trip back to house sit here in the future. Thank you again Jayne, Mike and William for such a wonderful pet sit experience.
