Kristina was a wonderful sitter! Our cat and horses were well cared for and our home looked just as it did when we left it. Since she doesn't live too far from us, she came out and met us several weeks in advance and was able to come out a day early and learn the routine. We highly recommend her. She was delightful.
We are really lucky to have spent a week alongside Oschi in Tim and Heather's lovely house. Oschi is an extraordinary and very endearing dog! The welcome from Tim and Heather was very warm, they did everything to make us feel comfortable in their home. All their little touches and kindness allowed us to feel perfectly at ease. Their house and garden are really very pretty, pleasant, spacious and comfortable. We felt really good at their place! It was also very easy to communicate with them. Their neighbors are very nice and helpfull. Market Lavington is a lovely place. The possibilities for walking from the house are very numerous, there are many footpaths where you can let Oschi go in complete safety. Oschi stays close and is not aggressive with other dogs, it is a pleasure to go for walks in nature with her. Whether you are interested in history or the countryside, the region is full of wonders: pretty villages and houses, historic sites, beautiful views... Above all, we fell in love with Oschi! She is a little shy with strangers at first but you just need to have a little patience (one night and one walk) to discover an incredibly cuddly, generous, attentive and very very endearing dog! Oschi can stay at home but we choose to take her on our walks and escapades to enjoy the most of her company. We were delighted by this stay. We received much more than we could have imagined. Many thanks to Tim, Heither, their son and Oschi for their generosity and this wonderful stay.
I had a great week in Utrecht getting to know Paka and Billie. I had never been to Utrecht before and it’s an active, happy town with lots to do and so many nice cafes. Biking is the favorite way for locals to get everywhere, but I walked and used the bus (5 min walk from apartment). The neighborhood of Lombok is quiet, lots of parks and canals. Everything you need is within 10 min walk. The apartment has a nice open living room with windows to the garden. The garden area has a nice table to enjoy the sun. The cats are pretty independent besides meal time. They can come and go to the secure garden area via cat door and sleep most of the day, but they enjoy some evening play time and Billie likes to rub and get pets. Billie liked to sit on my lap a little bit each day, but it took Paka a week to trust me. Insulin is easy! Much easier than pills or liquids. Paka never ran away- you can pick him up, put him on the couch, have him lie down, and doesn’t move for the 5 second injection. One can watch YouTube videos on how this is done, and I came to visit when Kim gave one shot so I could be sure. Twice a day after meals, so the most important commitment is to be there for the correct timing. Kim gave an excellent tour/ overview before my sit, and I was able to communicate with Floor and Kim throughout the sit with WhatsApp. I would highly recommend this sit!
We had such a lovely stay at Maja and Colin's! Maggie and Nola are some of the sweetest dogs ever and impossible not to fall in love with. Maggie is always eager to pick up the biggest branch she can while on walks, and Nola looks after everyone as if her life depended on it. We especially loved taking them on their beautiful forest hikes and strolls, of which there are an innumerable amount in the area. Communication with Maja was a breeze. She was quick to answer any questions and genuinely made us feel right at home. We would 100% recommend this sit to anyone interested!
Gustav is the most beautiful boy - affectionate and easygoing. His independent routine is easily managed allowing time to explore the Carcossonne area. Ian and Christine have a beautiful home with everything we needed, including amazing views and lovely relaxation spaces! Their communication was great and the details for Gustav and the house were clear and easily managed. We loved visiting the local shops in the village and thoroughly recommend this sit in a lovely party of France. Thank you!
We were delighted to spend our weekend in Brixton. Ellie's place is wonderful, and the area is full of life and things to do. Ellie is a lovely person and easy to communicate with. Mikey and Sylvester are very easy to take care of. Sylvester is super independent, although he would come around for treats every now and then and will stay with you on rainy days. Mikey is super sweet, very good on the leash and he loves cuddles. But he isn't very demanding.
Peter has a lovely home and a lovelier dog. Willow is a sweetheart, a grand old lady who absolutely loves her food and is friendly and cuddly. She enjoys getting out for a bit of a wander round the beautiful gardens and down to have a good stare at the sheep and to pretend to herself that she could get them if she wanted. The house is a bit out of the way so a car would be best, it's doable by bus but there is a long walk to the stop but this just ensures great scenery and peace and quiet. Peter was great, really helpful and flexible on timings and his family that live next door were also brilliant at making me feel welcome. Totally recommend a stay here.
