We had the best time looking after Capucine. She is the cutest cat and loves to snuggle up on you. Lea was so easy to communicate with and provided a handy welcome pack with all the info we needed whilst staying there. They have a beautiful home which was super close to the tram and the grocery store, plus it was only about 20mins by tram back into the city centre. Capucine was a dream to look after, definitely a highlight of our trip.
My time catsitting Chico and Dallas in Amanda’s precious home was an absolute dream! From my very first interaction with Amanda, I knew that I was lucky to be in contact with her. Amanda is warm, kind, welcoming – it felt like we would have been good friends if we’d lived in the same place. She took the time to answer all my questions during our first conversation and then upon my arrival, greeted me warmly and took the time to show me around and answer all my questions – even lending me her bike for during her absence. When she had left, I found a very sweet note with thoughtful recommendations. You can tell that her home is an extension of her – it is beautifully decorated and immensely comfortable, with brilliant books and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, to work from her home office, or to relax with a fabulous sound system. It also has a balcony which was very inviting when the sun streamed in on it. The location of the flat is perfect to experience Amsterdam like a local – residential but lively, with lots of shops and tasty restaurants/cafes nearby, also easy access to the city center with lots of trams and buses right in front of the door and the train to the rest of the Netherlands also just a short walk away. Anytime I had questions during my stay, Amanda answered promptly and thoroughly until all questions where addressed, which was greatly appreciated! And of course, the greatest pleasure of staying in Amanda’s place is the company of Dallas and Chico! Those two boys are precious beyond words and will make you fall in love in a heartbeat. They have such different but complimentary and adorably quirky personalities. They were curious about everything I ever did. They often made me laugh out loud with their cuddle requests, Dallas preferring his cuddles from the narrow kitchen ledges and from the bed, while Chico wanted to cuddle anytime I was in the bathroom. Chico followed me around like a little puppy, sometimes running over from the other side of the apartment to see what I was doing. If I ever walked past him without giving him a cuddle, he reached out to tap me, reminding me to pet him. Both slept with me at night, keeping me warm as it was becoming chilly in Amsterdam, and sometimes sat on my lap while I worked. Chico did yoga with me and made me laugh by chasing his tail. Dallas gave me the sweetest little head nudges that felt like the equivalent of receiving kisses. Their playing styles are very different, with Chico being an impressive pouncing acrobat, making the wildest shapes in the air and eagerly requesting playtime by running around. Dallas is more mellow, but can also really ferociously catch a piece of string lingering past. It was always heartwarming to come home to their warm welcomes and affections. Their relationship is also heart-meltingly adorable. They are like best friends, exploring the house together, looking out the window together, cleaning one another, napping together so that you can barely tell where one ends and the other begins. All in all, I loved every minute of my time there. Thank you Amanda for the chance to live in Amsterdam like a local who owns the two most adorable cats imaginable. It was an absolutely dream.
It was a cosy studio apartment with astonishing views, located in the center of Alicante and in a walking distance to the sea. The cats are well educated and quiet. strongly recommended.

We stumbled upon Stone House and are so glad we did! Living in NYC, we wanted to find the best option for our happy, active 2-year old dog and this place is it! Kate and Mark are the kindest and even provide adorable updates (with photos!) on the different adventures of the dogs upstate. My pup Dolly had an excellent time at Stone House! Their rates are on par with some dog sitters in Manhattan, but the dogs get a much richer experience at Stone House—more of a vacation. There are many doggie camps in the NYC suburbs, but most are large operations where the dogs stay in kennels. Mark and Kate are amazing and treat the dogs as their own. Their home is a storybook perfect getaway—so cozy and surrounded by nature. In every picture update they sent of Dolly, she had a huge grin on her face. She’ll definitely be back!
Our experience with the Stonehouse team (Kate and Mark) couldn’t have gone better. We had been looking for a safe / fun place for our dog to stay while away for 9-days and we’re so grateful Stonehouse had availability. We were looking to board our dog Georgie for a few weeks, and we were having trouble finding the perfect, comfortable place for him. I stumbled upon Stonehouse through a random internet search. We went for a meet and greet and immediately knew we found the perfect place. Georgie was comfortable from the second he stepped into Mark and Kate's home. They took such good care of him - taking him on walks, fabulous hikes, and adventures - we were afraid he wouldn't want to come back home! This was Georgie's first stay with Mark and Kate, and it certainly won't be his last. Thank you both so much for treating Georgie like your own.
Our Bernese Mountain Dog Hera stayed over Christmas at Stonehouse and could not have spent a better time anywhere else! Mark and Kate are wonderful people who truly enjoy their time with the dogs they host and have so many lovely stories to share. The pick-up in Brooklyn was great and we got a text message after they arrived safely at the Stonehouse. We received regular updates over the 2 weeks Hera stayed there and she even got to see some mountains to play in the snow (very important for a Swiss Mountain Dog ;)). We cam recommend the Stonehouse without any hesitation and could not think of a better place for Hera if we are out of town.
It is wonderful to know our dog is so well loved and looked after when we are out of town. He loves his daily hikes and playing with the other dogs. Mark and Kate are attentive and keep us updated with pictures and texts throughout our dogs stay.
Stonehouse, Kate, and Mark are amazing! They took care of our dog, Finley, while we were out of the country for a week. We are first time dog parents so you can imagine how nervous we were about leaving him behind. He had such an amazing time at their beautiful property. Mark was always sending us updates and great pics while we were away. They made it super easy on us by driving down to NYC to pick him up. Such a huge relief knowing he was in great hands! We are excited for our next trip and know Finley is as well because he’ll get to be with Mark and Kate!
Mark and Kate took absolutely incredible care of our sweet mini schnauzer. We had never left her for that length of time and were anxious as to how she would do. She had a blast and Mark was so sweet to send us frequent updates and near professional photos of her playing with the other pups. We can’t wait to go on our next trip knowing she gets a vacation with Mark and Kate as well.
Eileen is absolutely fabulous and took care of our furbaby as if she were her own. Eileen sent multiple videos and pictures throughout the day, and our it was clear that our pup was having the time of her life. Our pup is also a very picky eater, and Eileen had her eating like a champion; we were truly amazed. It was so reassuring and comforting knowing that our pup was in Eileen’s care. We will be using her for all of our pet sitting needs!

I am writing this review with such joy. My dog had such a good first time experience with Eileen. I was worried about this being her first time away from us and with a pet sitter. I wanted to make sure she was going to be happy and comfortable. I had a lot of questions for Eileen, and her answers made me feel comfortable with leaving my girl in her hands. We took a quick two night trip out of town, and wanted to see how our dog would do. We were hopeful it would go well because we have a week long cruise coming up in several weeks. Thankfully we were so pleased with the experience. Eileen sent us a ton of pics and videos throughout the stay. Seeing for ourselves that our dog was doing well really put our worries to rest. When we picked up our dog, she was not stressed or unhappy in any way. It was like she was at a family member’s house that she knew well. This really confirmed that we put her in good hands. This being my first experience with a pet sitter I know the stress that you feel and the worry you have. All you want is to find someone whom you and your pet can be comfortable and happy with. Eileen definitely provided that. I have already recommended her to a friend of mine, and I’m happy that we now have someone who is a great option for our dog. I feel like I can now be at ease knowing our dog will be in good hands while we are away on a longer trip. I would recommend Eileen and her services.
We had a fantastic experience with Eileen! We recently moved back to NYC and were looking for a dog sitter/boarding outside of the city. We specifically were looking for someone who would be hands on and attentive with our dog, and who had space for her to run and play — but we did not want a “camp” environment with too many dogs, kennels, etc. Eileen was very communicative through our booking process and throughout our pup’s stay with her. Beyond providing our dog with a great stay, she went above and beyond and provided helpful nutrition recommendations and guidance that we’ve since put into place. We could rest easy during our trip knowing that our pup was in good hands, and will definitely be booking with Eileen again!
Eileen is very responsive and thorough with the way she conducts her business. She was clear about the pricing and directions to the drop off location. Although the pricing is way higher than what I am used to - the money was well spent as my girl, Trixie, got the care and attention she needed while I was getting married. I would absolutely recommend this dog boarding service to anyone and would definitely be a return customer myself.
Eileen welcomes your dog into her family as one of theirs. Outstanding experience for dog and owner! My dog had new friends to play with, and I got so many pictures and videos from Eileen. Her home is exactly how you want your dog to be cared for. Eileen is also very knowledgeable about proper nutrition and dog foods that are actually good for your dog, which was so helpful for my finicky eater.
Eileen is amazing! She watched my mini Bernedoodle while my husband and I got married in a town nearby. Eileen sent pictures and videos so we knew he was in good hands. We also arranged for her husband to bring Snoopy to the ceremony so he could be there for pictures and walk down the aisle. They also helped recommend a new harness. Eileen is a dog lover for sure! I love that Snoopy doesn’t sleep in a crate, is well fed, has grass to run around, and is watched over by a true animal and dog lover. Would leave Snoopy there again for sure!

Eileen took amazing care of my poodle-pup Ollie while we were on a week+ long vacation last month. She was super responsive and the daily photo and video updates set my mind at ease knowing that Ollie was safe, happy, and having just as much fun as we were on vacation. Eileen provided excellent pet care for our 5-year-old Border Collie Katie. We were sent many photos & videos & enjoyed watching Katie playing with her new friends. Our dog seemed to really enjoy his stay. The staff was friendly and professional. They seem to do everything "by the book" which I really appreciate. They asked for all of Harkin 's paperwork, wanted contact numbers, and went over his diet before we dropped him off. It looks like a beautiful facility.
My family went on a cruise and left our dog at the plainview Kennel. They took such good care of her. I was so at peace with leaving her in their care. She was well taken care of. They are great.
I cannot begin to express my gratitude toward Plainsview Country Kennels for the love and care they showed our dog, Ziggy, during his stay there. My husband and I were visiting our sons over 5,000 miles away and needed peace of mind knowing that our fearful dog would be safe and cared for. Ziggy can be a difficult fit, he is fearful of everyone and everything away from home. We chose a private room for him away from other dogs, minimizing the noise. The staff took care to give him a little extra TLC and by the end of the stay, he was beginning to warm up to them. I received updates and was assurance that he was ok and when our flight changed at last minute to the following day, and they went out of their way to accommodate us. I definitely plan to use Plainsview Kennel on our next planned travel and they have my highest recommendation. Those reading this will not know my background, but I have several years’ experience running a dog rescue and volunteer organization at an Animal Shelter; I am extremely particular (as we all are) about who cares for my pups. That said, I have full confidence in Plainsview Country Kennel.
I would give 10 stars if I could! We have been leaving our 3 dogs here for years! Helen and Greg run a professional business and keep the facility very clean. We wouldn’t bring or trust anyone else with our fur babies! Highly recommend!
Helen has been most kind and flexible. I like the facilities offered for our large Great Pyr who on occasion can be a handful. They have accommodated our specific requests to keep her outside as much as possible, and made special arrangements to board her during a period in which they were not accepting guests. We just picked up our dog after a week long vacation. He was happy and healthy and the facility is always clean. The owners post pictures and videos on Facebook while we're away and missing him. I have been so fortunate to have Helen and Greg Edgar of Plainsview care for my Golden Retrievers Josie and Puck for more than 12 years. Travelling often, I was always able to enjoy my vacations because I didn't worry about my dogs. I knew that not only were they safe and well cared for, they were probably having a better time than they do at home. Wading pools in the summer, and playing with other dogs several times a day. When people ask me where I leave the dogs when I go away, I always say "They're at the Spa!" The last time I arrived to pick up Puck and reached for him with his leash, he looked at me, tail wagging as he got pets from the staff. He didn't want to go home... that says it all.
I love Plainsview Kennels! I am that dog "mother" who always freaks out about leaving her furbaby at the kennel. The owner made/makes me feel so comfortable and at ease when I leave my pup there. She always remembers going there and is super happy when we drop her off and goes to the staff without even looking back at me (which is sad for me but I'm happy she likes it there). I am on my vacation now and just realized I have no anxiety whatsoever in regards to my pup. And I should mention the facility is wonderful and located in beautiful Wallkill NY, my home town. I had been bringing my dog Lola to Alisha for a couple months now i have brought her a couples times for daycare before i was going on vacation and i was very happy of how my dog lola was treated am so grateful and happy that i found Alisha she is the best she is very profecional and knows very well what shes doing and how to deal with pets ... being my first time taking my dog lola to another place for day care and boarding for the first time was a 10/10 with her am so glad i made the dicision of choosing her as my pet sitter for my dog i also went on vacation for 3 weeks out of the country and am not going to lie i was nervious and scare bcuz i dint know what to expect from my dog lola she has never been in a place for boarding or anything and i could say that my search for somebody to board her was not easy at all i took some time to find somebody that i will feel like i will completely trust and trust me when i say that the time it took me to find her was not regreted at all i will continue to bring my dog lola to her shes the best since day 1 that i left on vacation we where always in comunication she will send me pictures and let me know all the time how Lola was doing if she was eating how she was doing ect . I will always recomend her to my friends and family that need a pet sitter for daycare or boarding the greatest experience 100% THANK YOU AGAIN !!! Alisha is caring for a neighbor’s pets and put a hold on her busy schedule to help search for some missing dogs we were trying to catch. Seeing her react in real time to helping an animal that she WASN’T responsible for is the best character reference I could ever hope for. I’ll definitely be calling her when I need someone to watch my fur baby!
I’ve been taking Daisy to daycare here for several months and it has been great! I’m a medical resident and my schedule is intense and somewhat unpredictable and my boyfriend is also a doctor and has long hours, but Alisha has been extremely accommodating. She has actually been a total lifesaver for us. She’s super easy to get in contact with and responds quickly, even when I contact her at weird times. On top of that Daisy has anxiety and has a tough time in new environments but after just a short while she’s super comfortable and doesn’t even want to leave when I pick her up. Thank you Alisha!!!

We boarded our dog here twice once for a week and the other time for a weekend. We were very pleased to see how happy our dog was both times upon pickup. Alisha was extremely accommodating to our schedule, sent us pictures of our dog throughout and was very responsive. Alisha is wonderful. I have an elderly dog with special needs and I don't have to worry when I have to go away because she is in good hands. Alisha communicates quickly and is equally both accommodating and professional. Most importantly, she is passionate about her business and the care she provides for the animals.

First time I left my baby I was very anxious because he was still a puppy, but it was truly an emergency. When I picked him up I knew I got a good place for him to hang and romp around. Never had an issue, place is clean and safe. He loves it there and loves his sitter Amy. Now he goes every week. We treat it like his little get away.
We left our fur baby with Posh Pets for a week. This was the first time we have left our pet with anyone other than family. He was very well cared for. Amy even shared pics of our baby while we were gone which was really great to ease our anxiety about leaving him. I would highly recommend Posh pets and will definitely use again in the future.
Amy has been a reliable sitter for our three pups for some time now. She manages our 2 Great Danes and our Havanese without issue. Never a doubt that our dogs are in good hands when she has them.

She takes care of my dog as if she were her own and my pitty mix loves her! I know my pit gets her playtime there because when she gets home she’s relaxed and tired! My sisters and I had Amy watch our 3 dogs while we were away for a week. She sent us photos daily of them having fun with other dogs, which was so nice and helped us feel better when we were missing them. It was my first time leaving my dog so I was very nervous, but he had a great time and was well looked after. I would use this service again! It felt better than boarding them in a kennel to have them in a home with a yard and people and pups to play with.
Amy is amazing with the dogs. When my two dogs realize where they’re going with the car, they start getting so excited. The facility is great, care is top notch I would and do recommend her to everyone I know.
I love knowing that my doggy will not be kept in a crate and love that he gets to socialize with other dogs. I have used Amy a few times and have plans to use her facility again in the future! Thank goodness she accepts larger size dogs. My dog is 73 pounds and he is excluded from some other types of doggy daycare.
Our dog, Bruce, who’s got big big feelings and is quite particular about everything.. LOVES Wag Inn! He gets so excited to see the staff when we’re dropping him off and they kindly send us updates about his antics during his stays. We’re so so happy we found a spot we can feel good about leaving our boy at! Highly highly recommend!
The staff was very accommodating and worked with us for a late drop off the evening before we went on vacation. While we were away, I emailed to check in on my pups. It was one of my dogs first time in a kennel. The staff responded very quickly giving me an update on how they were doing, especially the first timer. When we picked up on pups the staff member that returned our dogs was very familiar our pups. They took the time to share our pups habits and routines while they were there. One thing I immediately noticed when I got them into the car was that my pups didn’t smell of kennel (as had happened in past instances at other kennels). I will be bringing my dogs back! Loved the place.
There is no comparison anywhere in at least a 30 mile radius. They treat you like family and your dogs like their own. Our dogs leap with joy when we drop them off — and they live a pretty decent life at home! 😘 …

I boarded my Doberman at Wag Inn while I was at a family wedding. It was his first time boarding and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Lena was fantastic. He had a cozy room inside, the facility was warm, they sent me updates and pictures and took him outside to play. I requested he didn’t have exposure to other dogs and they were so accommodating of that. He still got plenty of exercise and attention, and they even scatter fed his dinner like I asked. They were also mindful of his training and handled my rambunctious adolescent Doberman perfectly. I would give 10 stars if I could! I don’t live in the area, but may travel in the future just to board him here if needed. Thank you so much for taking care of him and keeping me at ease!

My dog always has a good time when she goes to Wag Inn! She stayed there for 9 nights while I was on vacation and the staff was responsive in providing me updates on how she was doing and providing pictures. Love that the dogs get a little hotel room! Our dog really loves it here! We were a little nervous about leaving her overnight because she can be anxious in new places, but the staff is so caring and thoughtful. She always loves returning to Wag Inn! We can't recommend it enough.
Staycation Pet service is amazing! We were nervous about leaving our sweet senior dog and cat while we went away but Courtney was kind and patient while meeting them. Courtney was thorough in learning about their daily routines, and spent ample time getting to know our girls. We were sent frequent updates including pictures. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful and caring pet service that allowed our pets to remain in their own home!
I brought my two dogs for daycare at Staycation and I can’t say enough good things about Courtney and her husband. They have a huge, fenced-in yard and let the dogs out multiple times a day. They also do an afternoon movie-hour (watching Secret Life of Pets, of course) for a little relaxation time. My two dogs both have separation anxiety, but had such a positive experience. Courtney sent me pictures during the day and my dogs looked so happy and relaxed—they were literally smiling! Courtney has such a calming presence and you can tell she really loves her work. She’s extremely responsive to messages and inquiries and the rates were very reasonable. I highly recommend this facility for all of your pet sitting needs. And thank you, Courtney, for taking such wonderful care of my babies. 😍
Literally wouldn’t trust anyone else with our pups! Courtney takes care of our dogs as if they were her own and they absolutely LOVE going to stay. When we drop them off they go off and play and could care less about us as we’re leaving. She sends us updates and photos while we’re away. You really couldn’t ask for better people to watch your fur babies! 🐶 🐶
We had a great experience with Staycation pet services! My dog had never stayed overnight without us and will sometimes not eat due to anxiety if a family member is away, so we were worried about that. They sent us updates and said he was eating his food, so I knew he was very comfortable there. I loved the updates and feel like they treated my dog like their own. Very happy and will use them again in the future!
We hired Courtney to take care of our older corgi while we went away for a few days. Courtney was amazing. She came three times a day. Each time she took him for a walk and spent time giving him cuddles and playing with him. She sent us lots of pictures each time that she saw him. She is completely trustworthy and her prices are very reasonable. We can’t wait to use her again.

This is an amazing place for my dog to go socialize and burn some energy! As a puppy, she was attacked on a walk by a larger dog and we were worried it would take a lot of time and patience for her to adjust to being with other dogs in a productive setting. The team at Dizzy’s was so amazing, giving us tips on how to work on the issue outside of day care, and being conscientious of the situation while my dog was there. As a puppy, and a working breed, she has boundless energy, and we all feel better after a day of her getting to run around with other dogs. Since starting care she has become better at listening to commands and knowing when it is play time and when it is work time. The price is more than fair for the value we’ve received!!
Dizzy's is great! The place has been a godsend for my family's very energetic 1 year old pup. Our doggie has fallen in love with the staff, is desperate to get out to the door to them every morning and comes home exhausted every night. I could not recommend Dizzy's more highly!
My dog Waffles started at Dizzy's at 6 months.I always felt although he was a little guy he was so happy going to see all his friends! He would go in bark to let everyone know he was there! The staff is caring and wonderful! This is a clean well led daycare! Waffles misses you all!
Our 2 year old lab mix pup, Biscuit, attends a weekly play group at Dizzys and we have also used the pet care staff for at home pet care. The setting for the day care is clean with plenty of room inside and out for loads of exercise. We can check in on our pup during her playgroup with pictures posted on their FB page each day. Biscuit is obviously happy to greet the staff when we arrive and usually falls asleep on the way home. There are celebrations, holidays and parties offered with doggie games and activities provided. When the yard is wet Biscuit gets cleaned up before pick up and now a full pet spa service is offered on site by a well known pet groomer. My communication with the owner and staff at Dizzys Doggie Daycare is professional in person and always responded to in a timely manner via email. The service is excellent, the staff are flexible for pick up and drop off within in their hours of operation and the payment packages are a very good value. We are happy to have Dizzys Doggie Daycare in our area!
A very excellent place where dogs are able to release their energy during the day and enjoy their time there. Any pet parent should feel at ease knowing their furry friend has a safe place to play during the day. The owner is very attentive and caring. If you are looking for a doggie daycare this is the place to go!
Been bringing my dog there weekly for over three years. Staff is amazing and prices are great. They take great pride in caring for my Charlie and he is always so so excited to go there, I can’t open the door fast enough when I drop him off. They even do events! We’ve been with Dizzy Pets since the day we brought Petey home from the shelter over 4 years ago! We’ve used the daycare, daily walks and dog sitting services when we go on vacation. We’ve had nothing but great experiences with Jayme and her dedicated team. Petey has a blast every week at daycare.
Jayme, Josh and numerous members of their qualified staff have been coming to our house for years to exercise our dogs when we're not around. I'm sure we are among Jayme and Josh's most demanding clients. Through no fault of our own we are a pain in the rear end. We have three dogs that all have their individual personalities and requirements. We live out in the middle of nowhere on the way to nothing. We need Jayme and Josh's help often, but not on a regular schedule. Dizzy's service really has been top notch. There is the potential for LOTS to go wrong in this business and thanks to Jayme and Josh's positive attitude, professional practices, ambition to make their business a success and overall kind, concerned and conscientious energy we are VERY satisfied customers and will gladly recommend them to anyone.

Our dog, Barbara, who has SO MUCH energy loves going to Shepard and Grey Daycare (as shown in the photo). She gets excited even when driving up to Daycare. We have not found anyone as caring, loving and responsible as John at S&G! We've even boarded Barbara (who has never been boarded before), and she loved it. John also sends photos from the day and it's clear how much the dogs love playing and spending time with each other at S&G. Most of all, they get such an array of activity and space that allows your dog to be well socialized.
Fantastic facility! We've taken our senior dog (a rescue) to Shepherd and Grey since we got her, and that was shortly after the daycare/guest house opened. John is fantastic to work with, and his guesthouse is like a spa for our girl -- she relaxes in the sun room, enjoys walks on this gorgeous property, barks at squirrels, and watches the younger pups play. We especially appreciate the pictures and videos John sends us each day. You will not find better care anywhere in our area. Highly recommend!!!
We were a long way from home for a wedding in Beacon, NY and didn't want to leave our poodle, Max, behind. Shepherd and Grey's is very impressive, architecturally, with three levels and windows looking out to wooded mountains all around. The rooms are equipped as if dogs with credit cards furnished them: a real bed (if that's what your dog is comfortable with) plus a variety of cozy spaces and toys. John makes sure to take sociable dogs (ours is very gentle and an "only child" so he was excited to be in the company of other members of his tribe). I especially appreciate that this daycare/guesthouse for pets is a labor of love, because we are careful with Max, who is innocent as a child, and only wants to love us (and swipe the occasional tomato if given half a chance!) Highly recommended, Thanks again!
We can't believe how lucky we were to find John. We have a very nervous dog who doesn't do well away from us. He worked hard to make her feel comfortable and relaxed at his house. She looked forward to going every day. Most importantly, John went above and beyond to work with our ever changing work schedules allowing us to come early/ late to get her or would pick her up or drop her off if we needed him to. We can't express how great he is and how thankful we are for his service.
Shepherd and Grey is unlike any other dog care service I've used. It's a small, residential business, and they only take six dogs at once—which is a perfect group size for me. My dog, Sprout, gets plenty of exercise and socialization there, but she's also not overwhelmed by constant chaos or stimulation. I know the dogs play a lot but also rest, because John (the owner) sends me several photos and videos each day that Sprout is there. The areas where the dogs hang out are beautiful and always clean (check out the sunroom!), and S&G features a huge property for the dogs to hike around and relax outside. And John obviously has a way with animals... my dog adores him, and I can tell he loves her, too. If you're looking for a really special pet care service you can trust, with lots of individualized attention, then definitely give Shepherd and Grey a look.
During this extended closure, I am concerned for small businesses in the Hudson Valley, and Shepherd and Gray is one of our favorite staples of the area. If you are looking for a safe place for your dog to stay, if you have any reservations about being separated from your best friend, S&G will put all your worries at ease. We first went to John when we were planning our wedding - we wanted Penny to travel with us and share our special day, but it just wasn't feasible. And everyone we would trust her with was going to be at the wedding, so we were at a loss. The minute we stepped on the S&G property with Penny we knew it was the place for her. The facility is clean, John is very thorough with paperwork, making sure all dogs are up to date on vaccinations, and the property is beautiful and well maintained. My husband and I knew Penny would be safe and well cared for. Plus, John sent us daily updates, pictures, and videos. Penny is the smiling white lab in the photo and she can't wait to go back and play with friends once the social distancing ends!
Shepherd and Grey (S&G) provides exceptional care of your pet. We had a sudden need to kennel our dog for a few days. Our dog was very accustom to me being home with her every day. It has also been a few years since we have been to the dog park and we have not needed daycare or boarding since we moved to this area. My first concern was to make sure our girl had a positive experience. She is a big goof and this was going to be a big change in her routine. S&G 's owner, John, is wonderful to work with and provides the very best care in a calm, safe home-like environment. We were able to schedule a meet and greet as well as a half-day stay for a test run before we went out of town. So many great reasons to choose S&G: 1) all pet guests are current on vaccines 2) small number of dogs to ensure safe high-quality care 3) owner understands canine personalities 4) committed to providing an excellent experience for both the owner and their pet guests 5) daily photos and updates of your pet's stay. I have worked in pet care and welfare, there are several options for traditional boarding and kennel facilities. S&G is different, it truly is a guest house for your pet. We are so pleased with S&G we now schedule daycare visits just to let our girl socialize and get some hikes in, even when we are working from home. If you want more than a kennel experience for your pet, or more than a 10 minute dog walk while you are working, I highly recommend Shepperd & Grey Daycare & Guesthouse. Your pet's happiness is so worth it.
We board our black lab at Shepherd and Grey when we go away on vacation and absolutely love it. John is so hands on and really cares for any dog he is taking care of. We love that our dog has access to plenty of outdoor space, gets tons of walks and exercise on a daily basis and most of all is being cared for by a dedicated and experienced dog owner. I do not have to worry when I leave my dog with John. He treats her like his own!
My husband and I were expecting a baby and needed someone to watch our dog. Since we didn't know exactly when and for how long we'd need to board her, typical boarders were not ideal since you have to give exact dates. Luckily I found Shepherd and Grey online - John was willing to accept our booking without a definite date and was super flexible of the length of stay given our circumstances. We also loved the home feel for our dog instead of being placed in a kennel all day. We would 100% use S&G again and recommend them to friends. Very happy we found them!
John has been watching my dog for over 5 years and I have nothing but great things to say about his dog day care services. April and staff are the best ! my baby has been going there for years sometimes up to 3x a year ! … she always takes great care of him! he has diabetes and needs insulin 2x a day ! she is the only one I trust to do it ! I wouldn’t go any place else !!
Pet Pleasers is a fantastic place to bring your fur babies, I wish i could give 10 stars! I boarded 2 of my cats and 1 dog while on vacation for a week here. My babies were so happy to see April, she is so kind and really cares about these animals! We have been coming here for as long as i can remember!! If you need to leave your dog/cat with someone while you’re away DEFINITELY COME HERE!
My dogs came back in pretty bad shape. Open sores on one dog’s legs and both dogs seemed traumatized. Our husky’s tail was down for over a week. It’s always up. They eventually recovered. I would not go back. This was 2 years ago but my review disappeared.
Best place in the area. My dog actually gets excited when he recognizes where we're going. April and the Pet Pleasers team always go out of their way to accommodate schedules when at all possible, and pay such close attention to the dogs that when I've picked him up after a stay, their notes have helped me keep my pup healthy. Would recommend 100%.

My dog 🐶 enjoys going here when I have to go out of town. The staff is friendly and is happy to answer any questions I have. I have used them several times already and plan to continue to do so in the future as needed. I was disappointed the one time as they were booked up so I had to take my pup elsewhere.
