We were very happy with Kyle’s help caring for our house and our dog while we were away for several weeks. He was doing a sit close by before we left and came over with the dog he was watching at that time to meet us. He was very friendly and we noticed immediately how comfortable he was meeting new dogs and managing dogs under his care. He promptly asked questions if any issues came up while we were away and met our expectations concerning communication during that time. He also did a very nice job of caring for our yard. We came home to a well cared for home and dog. We would be pleased to invite him back in the future.
Great house / Kitty sit. Great location, great host and the cats were amazing. A little skittish at first of course but they warmed up within a few days. Already have the next one scheduled so I would obviously do again! Rachel is really nice and accommodating.
I loved staying at Ashley‘s place and her kitty Charlie is just so cute! After getting to know me we both slept in the bed together, had a fun time playing with his favorite toys and enjoyed the sun on the balcony. Thanks for a great stay & experience, you guys! Much love!

Lisa's house is gorgeous, and it was perfectly decorated for Xmas. The pool and spas are really nice, and it's walking distance to shops and movie theatres. However, the real star is the delightful Baloo! A sweet cuddly roly-poly dear of a doggo. He's big and strong and looks fearsome, but is really beautiful silvery-taupe marshmallow. He's very well trained and walks very well on leash, right next to your leg, and goes in his crate easily and without fuss. He needs decent walks as he has lots of energy, and spend most of his time at home asleep and snorfling gently. He was a delight to be around! Lisa left a very detailed house and dog manual, and there's a video of how to put on his special lead. A very nice xmas staycation!

I cannot say enough about Stacy and her staff! My dog started going to Howliday inn as a pup and he absolutely loved going there for day care. Every time I picked him up he was happy and asleep before we reached our front door. As an older dog he would periodically be kenneled at Howliday inn. The staff was sure to always send me pictures and updates on his stay while I was away. When I picked him up he always seemed well cared for and never anxious to get home. The facility is fun, friendly and extremely clean. I would recommend Stacy, her staff and the Howliday Inn to everyone with a dog!
Would 100% recommend Howliday to anyone needing boarding services. My dog Mash can get a little nervous around a lot of other dogs, especially bigger ones so boarding him is always a little worrisome for me. With Stacy, I had nothing to worry about at all. Without even asking, she sent me daily photos of my boy smiling and having a great time. I knew he was in good hands! I could tell she cared about his safety and well being. Thank you Stacy and team! Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Stacy and the entire team at the Holliday Inn Pet Resort. We initially planned on boarding our dog locally as the place we were staying in Walker, CA didn’t allow large dogs. This would have meant boarding him from Friday mid day until Thursday morning at a minimum, even though we’d only be in Walker from Sunday to Wednesday. Doing some research, we found the Howliday Inn, and the reviews were great and it seemed like we should check it out. Having planned a “pre-run” about 5 weeks before, we asked if we could get a schedule a visit, and Stacy set it up for us to meet with Hanna. We had Huey with us and he was pretty exhausted as it had been a long drive from Victorville, CA to Gardnerville, NV. He was ready to stay then, but we still needed to get vaccine records and paperwork sorted. But we got a tour and confirmed it was better than the online pictures. 5 weeks later we dropped off Huey with Hanna, and once we got to our destination, logged into their website and checked out the video feed. He was already out with his new friend Hanna and the other large dogs. We checked in a few minutes on Monday and Tuesday and we could see him getting more comfortable and less anxious about being there and looking like he was doing great. Each day we also got a few pictures and texts from Stacy that he was doing good. On pickup day we got stuck in traffic and called saying we might be late but we were still on time before noon to 2p naps for the pups. When we arrived Huey was panting and a little damp, because they had already gotten pools out, but remembered that he liked running through sprinklers, so they had set some up, and he was getting the other dogs to run through the sprinklers with him. Which was really great, because he slept most of the ride to Victorville, which allowed us to get home much faster than the previous trips in either direction. Thanks Again, Michael, Lisa & Huey
If my dog could talk .. he'd say he had a great two days ..this is a clean facility....with a stimulating environment for your dog...the personnel are friendly and professional.... I'm happy with my experience and my dog was happy and well cared for and safe...all that I could ask for while I was out of town!!

I have an extensive background sending my precious dog Naga here. Plus i’ve had a tour of the facilities. I am routinely sent photographs of the staff CREATING activities for naga to be sensory and intellectually stimulated- but overall it’s just fantastic care. They have plenty of room, bedroom suites to themselves if you choose that, and every staff member knows every dogs name. stacy the owner is above and beyond. everyone cares for the pets. also, dogs can’t lie! my bulldog is thrilled with her body language every time she enters that place. for the worried- send your pet here!!!
My pup & I LOVE this place. I use the daycare and the boarding and my pup is ALWAYS happy & tired! The play yards are nice and maintained. The doggies are not left alone. The staff is AMAZING and they fully love their clients (both human and doggie)! The facility is clean and well cared for. GREAT place!!!
Between being available for questions, being greeted by the owner, Stacy, who remembered our and our dogs' names, and the quality and quantity of employees present, we can confidently say we were able to relax and enjoy a vacation without our dogs. Howliday stands out as the best of the best boarding facilities we've used. They are advocates for the safety of each dog in their care, and have a good human to dog to yard ratio. It's about the care for your dogs above all else! As someone with experience in the pet watching industry, l highly recommend this business. They are so kind and involved, send awesome photos of the pups multiple times a day, and really clean! When the time comes, I will choose Howliday again.

I love bringing our Corgi here when we fly out of town. We started coming here when our first dog was still a puppy so naturally we were pretty nervous about leaving her with someone for a week. Let me tell you that after meeting the owner, Stacy, and seeing the facility, we had no worries. Stacy sends us updates and pictures of our little pup playing and having a great time with all of the other dogs. They really make it so you never have to worry about how you’re dog is doing so you can have peace of mind whenever you leave your dog there. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend!

Jess is awesome & I appreciate her so much! Highly recommend. My husband and I work 12 hour shifts and we leave too early in the morning to drop our dog off at her house so Jess will go pick her up & keep her until we head home and pick her up! That is so helpful. My dog Kahlua loves going to Jess’ house & loves her dog cheese! I always get updates and photos and Jess is super communicative. She has a big fenced yard and all the pups have tons of fun!
Working with Jess has been seamless and such a godsend. Excellent communication and easy to schedule and accommodate different walking/pet sitting needs. My dog LOVES her. While visiting Tahoe this summer, we needed a warm and caring environment for our puppy dog while we went out on the lake. Tahoe Paradise Pet Sitting was the perfect place. They accommodated our need to drop her off in the early morning and was gracious to meet with us the day before to ensure we were comfortable leaving her with them. It’s an open environment with a big back yard for roaming… no cages or locking her up. They even offer to take her for a walk if we wanted. We highly recommend Jess and will definitely use them again if needed on our next trip.
Words cannot describe what an amazing person, sitter and animal lover Jess is. I have had the pleasure of working with her both professionally and as a client for several years. I can tell you as a former veterinary assistant myself, Jess is nothing short of phenomenal. Her kind, caring and compassionate demeanor translates into an ideal sitter. I have had Jess watch my three dogs and cat who are nothing short of social rejects. I was hesitant to leave my pitty and American bully with anyone because they are very territorial and unfriendly. But as soon as they met Jess, they were attached to her and were accepting when she came into the house while I was away. Having a trustworthy, licensed and experienced veterinary tech with several years of experience gave me a peace of mind, that not only was my fur babies safe and well cared for, but so was my home. Jess took such good care of my high energy XL German shepherd for a long weekend and handled him with ease. She is a true dog lover! TBF is the absolute best dog daycare/boarding that we have ever used. The staff is incredibly friendly and remembers each dog by name. They are professional, kind, and make us feel like our dog is part of their family. We wouldn’t be able to have a dog if it weren’t for TBF! Whenever we get in the car to drop our dog off we say “do you want to go see your best friends??” And she loses her mind! She loves it there so much! We are so grateful!!
I feel so grateful that Tahoe-best - friends is here. I've been taking my dog here for many years and she loves it! We had to evacuate our house in the epic winter and I was in a motel , then short term rentals and Willow was boarded at TBF'S while I was at the hotel. Even though I missed her so much, it was comforting to know she was getting great, loving care and enjoying being there with the other dogs and great staff!.
Ventured to Lake Tahoe for my bday & attended the Celeb Golf Tournament…unfortunately my BnB didn’t allow pets. Luckily Tahoe Best Friends was not far & was very affordable/friendly for me & my small dog. Staff was super cool…she(dog) came out unscathed & I know she made friends with all the dogs they keep. They separate the pets by gender which I was happy about. Highly recommend…would utilise their services again.
Colonel Fuzzby, my Ukrainian Grey Lowland Retriever, absolutely loves Tahoe Best Friends, and I think they're pretty great! He is always totally stoked when we arrive, loves playing with his dog and human friends, and almost seems bummed when I come to take him home! TBF is a SLT gem, all the staff are fantastic and truly 'dog people,' and both I and the Colonel highly recommend!!

I have a Chihuahua. Lexi is about 8 years old and she is a rescue dog. She hasn't been around other dogs since my husband and I adopted her a little over a year ago. We have never boarded her or left her with anyone else, so I was very tentative about the whole process. Christian got us all set up on Paw Partner and did the initial one hour evaluation to see if she was suitable in her interactions with other dogs. He answered so many questions for me and took so much anxiety out of the whole process for me. The next day we brought her in and left her for 7 hours. Nina checked her in, put me at ease, and was so gentle with Lexi. She was placed in a room with other small dogs. They posted pictures on Paw Partner so I could see how she was doing and promply returned my call--because I HAD to check on her, of course! They were kind to my baby and patient with me. The 7 hours seemed like an eternity to me, but she had a good time. Slept very soundly that night. No trauma at all and I'm not too sure she missed me as much as I missed her. It was a terrific experience for all of us. I wish Christian and Nina would move to Las Vegas and start a Best Friends there.
We were planning on traveling to lake Tahoe and found this place. We called to inquire about availability and the lady was very rude on the phone. I was simply trying to discuss the setup over 4th of July as my dog get anxious under loud noises like really any dog and we said she may need a retreat. They lady on the phone kept saying my dog was aggressive and asked me what conditions she aggressive under and she told me if my dog bites another dog I would be responsible for it. I kept telling her my dog was not aggressive and she kept insisting that she was. We told the lady that our dog was a Shiba Inu and I believe this lady may have had a bad interactions with a Shiba Inu in the past because she kept insisting our dog was aggressive. She said "I know what a Shiba is". I told her you keep insisting that our Shiba is aggressive and she is not she plays with other dogs, we take her to the dog park and she is very friendly. I asked her to stop insisting my dog is aggressive and she raised her voice and said "you know what we don't need your business here!!" And then she hung up. Very rude!! Horrible customer service. And so uncalled for. Wow really taken back.

Were only in town for the weekend and found them through the Paw Partners app to let our dog go to daycare while we did some non dog friendly activities around town for day. They were absolutely amazing, great space and all the dogs seemed so happy in their care. Our dog loved it there and we definitely will be using them next trip down to Tahoe! Also very nice they’re open 7 days a week :)

I wholeheartedly recommend The Professional Dog Mom! Our four month old puppy was terrified of EVERYTHING and Tonda helped us build skills to really work with and meet our dog at her level. It has been a long process, but what we have learned from Tonda has been invaluable to her healthy development toward just being a happy pup. She still has fears, but she has improved exponentially in the last year that we've been with Tonda. And we have improved as empathic pet parents. Dog training with Professional Dog Mom is just a fabulous experience all around. My pup and I both enjoy going to our sessions...the place is welcoming and friendly, and Tonda is a true professional who is clearly passionate about what she is doing, and cares about your dog's journey. Every dog is different I'm sure, but as for my boy Sam, the results have been amazing! He responds well to all her methods so far; and perhaps more importantly I have learned so much about what makes my dog tick and what I can do to train him myself. I highly recommend some one-on-one sessions with Tonda, they are worth every penny!
Tonda held private trainings at her facility for our 4 month Bernese Mountain Puppy and has been helping with some behavior modification with our 2 year Labrador covid puppy. Overall, it has been a great experience with so much valuable information on puppy training and dog behavior. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and really listens to the owners concerns. Would 100% recommend!

Tonda is WONDERFUL! We boarded our four year old German Shepard Dog, Koda, for the first time while going on a weekend trip to Lake Tahoe. Tonda took the time to get to know him, ask us questions, and went the extra mile to help him and help us be better pawrents! We had access to the doggy cam and were able to check on Koda throughout our time away. We took a training class with Tonda which left us speechless regarding the knowledge and care she has for the dogs. Koda wanted to go back to the site with Tonda because he felt comfortable with her (speaks volume about a what a wonderful experience he had with her). I have never met someone as dedicated and empathetic to dogs as Tonda is. We have a 13 year old somewhat dog-aggressive terrier mix and we decided to try out her boarding facility after having bad luck with other sitters. I couldn't believe how happy and relaxed our (usually anxious) dog was when we picked her up!! And she had a chance to SAFELY socialize with other dogs in a way that allowed her to be curious but also set her boundaries. Even after so many years with my dog, I feel like I learned so much about her behaviors through Tonda. She's definitely our first choice anytime we need to board our pup!
I took my 8-month old pup here today for a full day of daycare and I’m pretty sure he loved it! The drop off process was easy and quick (after I fumbled through papers looking for my vacc records; I’m sorry and thank you for your patience!!) and everyone who works there was great. I could tell Bernie was in good hands for the day and he has been snoozing since I picked him up. Bringing him to Doggie Days was such a better option than having him stay home all day while I attended a conference. I would definitely bring him here again!

I can’t say enough great things about Doggie Days! I think it says it all when my furry kiddo makes it very clear that she loves it at Doggie Days. She always comes home very happy, clean and with her tail wagging! Everyone at Doggie Days provides outstanding care for all the dogs. How they remember who each dog belongs to and are able to keep names and leashes straight is beyond me! But, it makes a big statement about the care and attention they provide to the dogs. Cleanliness is never an issue and I highly recommend and only recommend Doggie Days to anyone who is seeking daycare or boarding for their furry kiddos. Great place! Our new favorite for boarding our 3 dogs. We came back and they all smell amazing not like they do sometimes after staying in a boarding facility.
As a Veterinarian with 41 yrs practice experience.... I am deeply upset with the care my dog received at DoggieDays. I needed to board my 2yr old lab as I was having knee replacement surgery. Not only did she get discharged with a left front and left hind leg lameness (that the staff minimized and attempted to conceal) but despite having a bath there (I was charged for 2).. she came home stinking of industrial fecal stench. (Likely because they are not properly cleaning their astroturf or bedding). When a dog comes up lame during their stated "supervised" play... the owner should be called right away. Pet should be confined to not worsen the injury. 5 days after leaving the kennel my dog is still lame LF (likely an elbow injury).. seeing a specialist orthopedist next week. Additionally... these people refused to return calls... very unprofessional. Over my many years as a DVM... I have needed to board my pets periodically... this is without a doubt the worst experience my pet and I have ever experienced. The last thing I needed recovering from knee surgery... is now... having to manage a very lame dog... Fair warning... the true sign of a professionally run kennel caring for your pets... is how they deal with issues when they arise. These folks unfortunately don't seem to care... and just hope the public "won't notice" a lameness... Unfortunately...as a lameness Veterinarian working with horses... I did. And I am sure... my situation is not unique. Check your pet carefully... and take a whiff too. Terrible !
Just picked my two boys up after a 10 day stay. They are happy, healthy and exhausted from playing. I did not have experience boarding my dogs in the past. Doggie Days was recommended by a friend and I'm so happy to find a place that loves and cares for my dogs so I don't have to worry. Every staff member I have encountered is professional and seems to really like their job. To me, that says a lot about the business and the owners. I have another trip planned in September and hopefully my boys can enjoy a few more days of Doggie Days summer camp at that time. Thanks so much Tim and Staff.
Doggie days couldn’t be better. We mostly used them for day care but did occasionally board them. They immediately recognized our dogs and called them by name even after months of not going. We have now moved to a new state and realized there is no place like doggie days. My boys will miss this place.
I recently started bringing my ~5 year old rescue with separation anxiety to Doggie Days - and he LOVES it! Doggie Days came highly recommended from a coworker - and they were right - this place is great! My Maxxie is so excited to "commute to work" 1-2 times/week. He comes home with just enough energy for us to play and have a walk, but the destructiveness of separation anxiety has seriously mellowed out since we started going to Doggie Days. His confidence around other dogs has increased and he is more playful with other dogs at the dog park and when visiting friends w/dogs. I absolutely recommend Doggie Days to anyone who is hesitant. **Update** I am now bringing my second dog, Penny, to Doggie Days and she is LOVING it! She has been going off and on for the last two years, and her ears perk up as soon as she figures out where we're going in the mornings! She comes home wagging her tail every time!

Doggie Daycare is great!! Staff get to know your fur baby, provide large yards for play & exercise and covered areas with comfortable cots & blankets for naps. Much larger than the old facilities with all new play equipment & climate control kennels for overnight boarding. I have used both day and boarding overnight services and they were awesome. One can view the yard from drone photos (no touring, it would upset the animals to have strangers coming through). Love ❤️ the friendly staff. I won't hesitate to bring my girl for care.
This was our first time ever having to board our dogs so I was super anxious. When I dropped them off on Wednesday afternoon, they assured me that they would let me know if they had questions or anything. You can even text them and because I’m an absolute basket case I texted them and they promptly responded with updates that I wanted. One of my dogs is very high strung and weird around people and when I picked them up this afternoon, the employee told me that she sat in their kennel with them and he loved on her which tells me a LOT about his experience there. It’s affordable, they’re friendly, and had zero problem putting my mind at ease. I will absolutely be using them in the future!! Picture of my goobers for attention and because they’re real cute
The staff is always so kind and very responsive whether it be by phone or even by text. My dog is usually scared to go into any office or building but here he runs in excited to play. Grooming is reasonable for the area and they do a great job on my doodle
We LOVE Kelsey’s Groomers! Our Bichon always looks fluffy and beautiful! He gets so excited to see Kelsey and her team! Our Maltese is always cut perfectly and they’re always happy to see everyone. Which is important. They don’t shake or get afraid to go there. I know I can rest assure they’re in good, kind, loving, caring hands. 🐶🐶🐶♥️
Everyone at Kelsey's was so wonderfully kind & you can tell they truly love the animals. Very organized & answered all my questions. Excellent communication through email as well. Maisie was groomed during her stay & she looked beautiful! Thank you so much for the gift bag with all the fun swag. Such a great idea! Kelsey's Groom Shop & Boarding is AWESOME! 10 out of 10! Kelsey's has been grooming my dog for many years. They aways do a superb and wonderful job! My dog always looks so beautiful! The staff are very kind, pleasant and nice. Definitely highly recommend!!!
I have a white terrier mix who is afraid of EVERYONE, except the ladies (and gents) at Kelsey's. Piper has stayed overnight for boarding and goes in for grooming every 8-10 weeks.
Best groomer ever! Our three girls were SO dirty and they came out better than I’ve ever seen them! Kelsey’s team worked their magic and our girls were so happy when they got home. They were super gentle with our old lady, who is a 15 year old malamute. I can’t rave enough about how professional, prompt and talented the team is at Kelsey’s. Everyone here has been very nice and easy to talk to. Pricing is reasonable. If I had one complaint, it would be the hours. 8-5:30 makes it tough for a lot of people. Not everyone works a 9-5 in Minden
If I could leave negative I would. I left my dog with Kelsey for less than two days. She left him alone, and he was killed by another dog. So yeah. I would not leave my dog there if I were you. If anything does happen to you pet in her care, she will tell “how do you think I feel?” Because that’s what she did to me and my family when we tried to talk to her about the situation. Reminder: my dog was killed in her care and she yelled at us about how her feelings. That is who you’re dealing with here.
We just picked up our boy after 5 days away. He looked like he had a blast while we were away and I was sent lots of pictures and videos. I would take him here again if we needed to and trust them. They took the time to make sure he felt loved everyday and gave him plenty of exercise. Thank you for taking care of my baby!
Shirley’s is absolutely fantastic! They care for your pup like it was their own. Our Siberian Huskie is not the most social dog but really is comfortable at Shirley’s! I am so impressed with the way they operate their business.
We are so glad that this boarding kennel has opened again. They are taking the BEST CARE of our two Labs, Layla and Roxie, while we take care of medical appointments in the Carson City and Reno area. We will continue to use their services and are confident in all their services!
I trust Country Inn with my two pibbles more than any sitter in the valley. I have boarded with Nailin and Jeremy since they took over the business and have had a great experience. They are responsive, great dog people, and provide outstanding service.

My dog, River, stayed here for a week. She is dog aggressive so it was important she be in a place where she could stay safe and me not have to worry about the safety of other pets. This is exactly the place I was looking for! Booking and checking in was easy. The owners are so kind and friendly. You can tell they really love animals! They followed feeding instructions and asked to know her little quirks/triggers which made me feel comfortable. They also showed me how they decide what dog run she would be in and why. She must’ve been highly entertained because she came home happy and tired! I couldn’t recommend this place enough, River will definitely be going back anytime I need to leave town. My cats are very unsocialized and had to stay here a few days while we moved. The staff handled it well and did their best to help them have a calm and pleasant time. The kennels where clean and the price was fair. I will be using the again this week for a family dog that is visiting from out of town.
Country inn kennels has the friendliest staff and welcoming atmosphere. They took care of my diabetic kitty for almost a week. She came home so happy. When you leave your animal anywhere you worry they will not get the love they need. That's definitely not the case with them! I highly recommend them to anyone needing pet care. Great place! Nailin and Jeremy are very attention to the animals boarding with them! They go above and beyond to make sure my fur babies are well taken care of! Highly recommend! And they groom as well, and do an amazing job with that!

I had a fantastic experience with this dog boarding service while on vacation in Tahoe. The owner was communicative and made reasonable accommodations for my pup. The staff were always friendly and flexible with my pick-up times, allowing me to take my dog on walks and hikes during my stay. I felt confident that my dog was well cared for (she might have had an even better time than I did!). Will definitely board with again when up in the area.
This place is amazing! Shootout to Pamela and Marilyn. They are both incredible! They were accommodating and figured out how to help us. Our boy Jogger loved his day care experience. This will definitely be our go to spot and where we will recommend our friends bring their dogs. Again, Pamela was amazing and Marilyn did so well with Jogger.
We had a wonderful experience with boarding Malcolm at Hair of the Dog. We were traveling in from SLC for the week and our condo was not pet friendly but we really wanted to bring along our papillon for Tahoe adventures and Hair of the Dog made it so convenient for easy drop off/pick up with very flexible hours. Fantastic location paired with amazing and caring staff (24 hrs a day!). Malcolm was happy and well cared for. We will definitely use Hair of the Dog for future Tahoe trips!
I was visiting but my dogs were dirty from our road trip and I didn't think I'd be able to find anyone but they took my two long hair chihuahuas in right away. They had them for a few hours. I bought a really cute harness for my girl dog from them. The only thing was my dogs barely looked groomed and didn't smell all that great. My longer-haired chihuahua always needs at least two brush-outs so she was kind of matted looking instead of a fluffy cotton ball. This picture is after the grooming.
I have been using Hair of the Dog since they opened and I have been very happy with them. Their groomers take their time with my babies so that they have a pleasant experience vs speeding through the whole operation and making them overwhelmed. Everyone is very nice, helpful and loves dogs!
Took fabulous care of our sweet puppy while we were able to have a great day on the slopes. Took photos and text them to us on the Mountain. Will use them every time we come to Tahoe.
When we picked our dog up, she was very thirsty. Since picking her up, she hasn't been her same energetic self. Something off with her. The gal at the front desk is very rude. Definitely not a people person. Hope she treats our beloved animals better then she treats people. We've had our dog kenneled there on several occasions and that same gal has always been just flat out rude. My bad for not knowing her name. Would like to call her out directly
It was our first visit to Hair of the Dog Pet Concierge and we are thrilled with how they groomed our little Poodle/ Maltese mix. Every other place we have taken her does not follow our simple instructions (same length all over, with the shortest possible guard you have). People tend to want to make her poofy and very precious looking. We are delighted that here they took our request to heart! They treated her so nicely, and they were accommodating with our schedule. Cannot recommend enough and we will definitely be back
