Sherlock and the rabbits were fine to care for. Sherlock is pretty well trained and follows many commands. He will even wait for permission to eat his food. He does pull a bit on his leash when on walks. (If you keep up your pace when walking, he'll match you but if you go for a stroll, he will pull towards scents and sometimes other dogs). My 1-star is due to the way the situation regarding the HVAC was handled. I arrived at Miriam's home and noticed the bed I was to sleep in hadn't been made for me. A sheet set had been left out, as had some blankets (including one I'd seen in a photo with the rabbits). No towels had been set out. This was a first for me and surprising, as where I would sleep had been a topic of discussion when I visited Miriam's home a few days prior. Within 24 hours, I reported to Miriam that the A/C was not working upstairs. It took a week for it to be fixed. During those 7 days, with a heat wave approaching, Miriam and her husband tried to convince me to sleep on the pull-out couch for the duration of the sit, ignored my concern about the bunnies who had to remain upstairs, and sent two neighbors to the house (one with my consent and one without). Miriam had given the second neighbor my number and asked her to come over after I arranged (as asked by Miriam's husband) for a second HVAC company to come out. When the woman texted me that she was coming over, I asked her not to and referenced THS' terms of service. I also informed Miriam that this would be a violation. She apologized but did not stop her friend from coming. The neighbor came to the door, and I asked her to leave. She entered the home anyway and I had to physically close the door on her. All the while, I'm helping the HVAC tech who needs guidance on where things are in the home and caring for Sherlock who is reacting to every new presence in the home. After the HVAC tech fixed the issues, the neighbor was back on the property and back to texting me. Being in a position to repeatedly tell someone NO, and for them to not listen had me shaken up. I called my family first then I called THS Member Services and made arrangements to leave this sit early.
