Victor and Rose are absolutely amazing! They came a day early to help us get organized and ease our leaving town, did some minor home repairs while we were gone and left the house immaculate. They even made us a lovely homemade dessert! Their care of Toby and Velo was exceptional. They helped us with a minor medical issue, gave good advice on how to handle it and bathed both dogs before we got home. All this over one weekend! They are both absolutely lovely people, and we would have them again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend them.
What a wonderful experience it has been looking after Cookie and Chilli in this lovely home. Sophie and Steve and their family were warm and welcoming when we arrived which made us feel immediately at home. Sophie is a great communicator and was always quick to respond to any questions raised before and during the sit. We were delighted to find ourselves staying in a very beautiful village. ‘Home’ is a lovely comfortable and well equipped house where we have been so content during the month we spent here. Cookie and Chilli are a delight; both of them are loveable and are always up for a cuddle or snuggle on the sofa. The surrounding area offers more than enough to do for a month’s stay, with several excellent dog walks from the doorstep, so local walks with Cookie were interesting with plenty of variety. She is also so good in the car (we used the dog crate belted to the passenger seat) so you can take her anywhere. Cookie has a lovely temperament, she’s not a vocal dog and isn’t bothered by other dogs she meets. She is friendly with everyone that wants to pet her too. We took her to a few cafes and pubs without any problems, she’s a star! Chilli is a gorgeous, photogenic and calm Persian. Apart from being a typical long haired cat that collects all the dried leaves and foliage to brings in from the garden, he is very easy to care for. If you love cats and dogs, canal walks and visiting pretty towns and villages, then you will love this sit. It’s definitely one that we hope to return to next year for some more time with this perfect pack.
We took care of Izzy and Soli for one week in June 2024. Laura and John met up with us one day ahead of their departure and explained everything we needed to know about the dogs in detail and showed us around their house. We were able to ask all questions we had before their trip so we were prepared very well and no further questions occurred while they were away. We also drove to the dog park together which was very useful because Izzy and Soli really love it there, behave great around other dogs and seem to get a lot of satisfaction out of playing with their buddies. We took the dogs for 2-3 walks a day. To respond to their individual needs, the two of us sometimes took them on separate walks at the same time. Luckily, there are plenty of very beautiful trails in the area so exploring with the dogs was fun. The dogs behaved very well and we had no major issues with them. Soli ist still in training because he joined the family only recently. We worked with him on several things whilst going for a walk, he's eager to learn and picked up fast. Our time with Izzy and Soli was really special and we'll miss them! As can be seen on the pictures, the house is very beautiful and we felt very much at home. We agreed with Laura to send her brief daily updates/ pictures. Communication before and during our stay was very friendly, efficient and prompt. Thanks for a great experience in Golden! Anna and Karsten
We were very pleased with this, our first house/pet sit. Ellen's apartment in Lisbon is immaculate and very comfortable for a couple, and we were made to feel very welcome. Located close to shops, the metro and on a bus route, ideal for exploring Lisbon. Domino was very easy to look after and became more friendly as time passed. We enjoyed playing with him and at night he would often sleep on our beds. We will miss him!
Kate is so nice and welcoming. And the three G piggies are the sweetest :) The flat is located in a beautiful area, close to the beach. Loved it!
We really enjoyed our sit at Isabel and James' home. Annie is the perfect walking partner for woodland rambles, playful Raddish is great fun and Peanut is a sucker for a neck tickle! Seeing the chickens roam the garden was a treat - as were the fresh eggs. Our toddler loved all the animals.
A perfect sit! Meticulously detailed welcome guide that answers all possible questions, and if you need further clarity, the hosts have a near immediate response time. The house is cozy and has a beautiful ocean view. Unbeatable location for dogs - a large dog park is within walking distance and there are ample trails to take as well. The dogs themselves are super well behaved. Rufus pretty much is satisfied just getting attention and a few shorter walks around the neighborhood a day. Lazaro (the puppy) is amazing for his age - both dogs were great listening to us off leash. Lazaro definitely has a lot of puppy energy so make sure to get him a few hours of exercise per day if you can spare
