Had a wonderful sit during which I took care of Ludo, a great and very sweet dog! Ludo likes to be in your company and loves going on walks especially the longer ones. He listens very good and simply is great to hang around with. Communication with Sally and Gerard prior and during the sit was very good, they are both very friendly! When I arrived at their house I received a very warm welcome and got all information I needed. The house is very comfortable and in a beautiful area with everything you need close by. Also Richmond Park is at walking distance. Ludo, Sally and Gerard, thanks again! Highly recommended!
Nina and Paula are lovely, and they truly love and care for their cats. When one of the cats fell ill, they were texting us and the vet at 3, 4 and 5 am their time from the US, just so they could communicate with us all during our daylight hours. They handled everything with the vet, including payment, so all we had to do was make sure Ben was on time for his appointments. It was a pleasure taking care of their kids. Ben won our hearts – he was so gentle and brave. Winston is a warm, fuzzy ball of love – what a cute little boy. The girls, Nellie and Katie, were also sweet – Katie the talker and Nellie the eater (sorry, Nellie but it’s true) were good company, always on the cupboard at the foot of our bed at night. We really enjoyed staying in Nina and Paula’s fun, funky, art-filled apartment in Florence, steps from a delicious gelateria and the best pizza we have had in Italy (and we’ve tried many!). Their home is cozy and clean – with a breeze that flows throughout and balconies on both sides. There is also an air conditioner in living room, as well as a bigger one in the bedroom to make the room very comfortable before falling asleep, and it always cooled down in the evening, even with the July heat, so we had a very comfy stay. The apartment is just a few train stops away from the busy beauty of old town Florence and all it has to offer. Nina and Paula had lots of insider food suggestions (Paula is a chef) and we enjoyed eating where the locals go. We would not hesitate to care for Nina and Paula’s kitties again. We send big hugs from us.
Great experience taking care of Hanz and Franz, they are very lovable and calm cats. The apartment has a great location in a very nice neighborhood and had absolutely no problem staying there for a few weeks. Since the beginning Moorea and her husband where really nice and friendly people. Im very thankful for their kindness :)
This was easily one of my favorite “pet-sits”. Ashley-Jane and Kyle are just such a lovely couple, very responsive, made everything easy, and have a beautiful home. Their pets, Harold and Leonard, were great furry friends to care for...very chill, extremely cute and easy going (well, sometimes Harold channeled his inner beagle and would give a condescending stare when he wanted to go in a certain direction on a walk, but really, that was about as difficult as he got 😊). I would welcome the opportunity to care for Harold and Leonard again and highly recommend Ashley-Jane and Kyle to others looking to pet-sit.
I had an amazing first experience taking care and spending some time with Miss Momy and Enzo. Both were so sweet but with a very different personality! Enzo took some time to appear but then he took confidence! Alessia was incredible! She left me a detailed list with everything and we had permanent contact, so everything was very easy ! Thank you Alessia for let me care your babys.
I had the best time in Athens with Olive! Adam and Esther were very kind and helpful in understanding Olive's routine and the neighbourhood. The apartment is lovely and very well located. Olive and I enjoyed the wonderful Athenian weather with great walks every morning and afternoon, mostly up Lycabettus Hill and Strefi Hill, which are nearby. I also had no qualms about taking her to parks a little further away (Finopoulou and the National Garden are also within walking distance and very lovely) because she is such a well-behaved dog and a great walker! And such a ham :) we had a lot of really sweet interactions with other people who couldn't get enough of Olive. She was the perfect buddy to have to explore Athens' green spaces and then to return home and chill out on the couch or balcony. She's a very easy dog to take care of and very easy to fall in love with. During the afternoons I was easily able to visit places of interest in the city by foot or by metro. I didn't end up using the bus but it seems to be a great option for getting around as well. The neighbourhood is full of life - and amazing food! Great coffee, bakeries, tavernas, and a weekly farmers' market. It doesn't get much better for those who like to cook and/or eat :) All in all, I can't rave enough about my experience sitting in Exarcheia with Olive. It was a very special time and I would go back in a heartbeat.
