Becca was a great communicator before and during our sit. She arrived early, which really helped us make sure she was briefed on details we thought important. Our dogs had daily walks and she even knew how to remove a tick from one of our girls. The house was as clean as if we had left it without a sitter. The most important thing for us is making our vacations as stress free for our dogs as possible. We can tell if they were stressed while we were gone. They were happy and relaxed when we got home. If the dogs could write this review it would garner a 4 paws up rating for Becca.
I loved this sit! We were watching sweet Bendito and enjoyed him tremendously!! Owners are very kind and I loved that they shared the area and ideas to stay happy with Bendito! Very comfortable and lovely area! Say yes if you are lucky enough to be asked!!
Amy made our stay in Statesville beyond PERFECT – not only did she go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and appreciated – she also provided an extensive tour of her professionally cleaned home and took time to answer all of our questions. She also included information for local trips, activities, and great places to eat. Even with being out of the country, she communicated very well throughout our month-long sit. If any issues came up, she took care of them immediately. Her bright and spacious historic home is located in a beautiful, walkable neighborhood. She has maintained the historic architecture and charm of the home while updating it with modern conveniences, including central HVAC and fast hot water with lots of pressure just to name a few. The dedicated sitter’s ensuite is also bright and very comfortable with a queen bed and a shower/soaking tub. She left us plenty of closet and drawer space in the bedroom and a clean refrigerator/freezer with lots of room for our food. (This is so rare, and we are very thankful!) We were not lacking anything for our stay. You could tell she just wanted us to be comfortable and enjoy ourselves! When we visited downtown Statesville for the first time, we thought we were in a Hallmark movie – very friendly people, great shops, art gallery (very talented artists including Amy herself), college campus, and restaurants. While Amy’s home is within walking distance to grocery store/pharmacy, downtown, urgent care and hospital and central to areas such as Lake Norman, Boone, Charlotte, or Blowing Rock, we were glad we had our car to explore. BEST OF ALL were Red, Clementine, and Miss Mopsey. Red and Clementine are such extroverts and love human interaction. (A dog in a cat’s body!) They never missed a moment to be near us and love to be brushed and have playtime! They found their spot on our beds every night! Through their laid-back personalities and sweet temperaments, it clearly shows that Amy has dedicated an abundant amount of love and time with them. Never did they run or hide nor were they ever demanding or combative. You know that you have made it when you find their toys around your bed the next morning. On the other hand, Miss Mopsey is a bit of an introvert but would reward you with her presence, have a short chat or find her way to the foot of the bed at night. They were all an absolute joy to be around, and we fell in love with them from the start! If you are given the opportunity to spend time with this fabulous family who will make you feel so welcomed and appreciated, don’t hesitate. We PROMISE you will not be disappointed! Amy, this was definitely one of the BEST kitty sits because of you and the kids! THANK YOU so much for choosing us. Having to say goodbye is the hardest part of being a sitter. They will definitely be missed! We look forward to staying in touch and also seeing more of your fabulous paintings!
This was a fun sit! Kayla was fantastic to communicate with - she was clear with the logistics of their flights, had all of the pet/home instructions thoroughly written out and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. The home was beautiful inside and out, including the backyard that connected to a property with horses. It was nice to watch them come up to the fence in the mornings. The stars of the show, the 3 pups were adorable! Each one had a sweet personality and constantly did funny things that made us laugh. Robin and Butterbean love attention and will not hesitate to get it. Brewce grabbed some love when he felt like it, but mostly wanted to wait for a crumb or two to fall while we were cooking, lol. I highly recommend this sit - and we would gladly sit for them again!

We really enjoyed pet sitting for John and Kathy. They have a beautiful home with many spots indoors and outdoors for hanging out with the pets. Fritz is very quiet and we enjoyed chilling with him. Captain is so friendly! He was a pleasure to be around. And Aragorn is super shy by day but comes to say hello at night! I would highly recommend pet sitting at John and Kathy's. Thanks guys!
We had a lovely time looking after Sherlock and Watson - a very relaxed, easy going and adorable cats. Watson is very sweet, playful and spent more time with us. Sherlock is a lovely cat and likes to be cuddled. Nora and her family was very kind, friendly and helpful, we felt really welcomed. The house was very comfortable, good located and we had everything we needed there. Thanks for giving us such a wonderful time in your house. We highly recommend this sit!
