Pet Sitters in Gem, IN

Adrienne is such a warm, fun, outgoing lady. She took wonderful care of Harley & Rusty, walking them at least twice a day. She definitely bonded with them. She sent pictures & kept us updated while we were gone. Adrienne seemed to enjoy her time here (taking lots of pictures). She met many of our neighbors & their dogs. It was nice she came a full day ahead of time so that we could show her around The Villages, especially getting around in our golf cart to restaurants, grocery stores, an entertainment area & swimming pool. After driving Adrienne around in the golf cart the day she arrived, my husband had her drive the golf cart the next morning before we left so she could get familiar with driving it. She did struggle with finding her way around in the golf cart after we left, even though we left maps of The Villages & told her about The Villages app with GPS. Because she was uncomfortable getting around in the golf cart, she asked a neighbor to help her & he took her to get groceries. We feel bad that she wasn't able to find her way around while she was here. We've labelled the light/fan switches in the house. Some of the switches (indicated with a red dot) control lights that are on a timers and we informed Adrienne about the meaning of the red dot. She must have accidentally manually turned off the living room light that was on a timer and didn't realize it, so it was dark in the living room. We typically leave out extra light bulbs in case one goes out. Well, we forgot this time to leave them out & of course, a bulb in the guest bedroom went out while we were gone. But Adrienne was self sufficient & used the lantern I left. Upon our return, she indicated she didn't contact us to find out where extra bulbs were because the lantern worked fine; so glad she found a solution! The only downside of this sit was the cleanliness of our home upon our return. Our dogs primarily stay in the enclosed lanai & they go outside through the lanai door. When they come in from outside, dried grass comes in on their paws (especially when it's damp outside) so we're totally understanding about grass in the lanai. However, there was a lot of dried grass in the house, especially the kitchen. When I mentioned it to Adrienne, she said it must have come in on her shoes because the dogs had not been in the house. Also, something had run over in the microwave & hadn't been cleaned up so I had to clean the microwave before I could use it the night of our return. Dishes were left in the dishwasher. Adrienne did wash the guest bedroom sheets before we came home, but she stayed the night of our return & slept in the bed again (she said she only sleeps on the very edge of the bed so the other side was clean for the next people using the guest bedroom). We really liked Adrienne & she was excellent with our dogs, which is the most important thing! We would ask her to sit for us again with our expectations of home cleanliness.

Jenna did a fantastic job with my cat and dog and home. She communicated just the right amount to put me at ease without overwhelming me while traveling. I recommend her highly and would be delighted to have her sit again. Thanks Jenna!

Randy was on his own this trip and we were truly pleased with him taking care of all SIX of our pets. He was thoroughly prepared as he read our manual ahead of time and we held a quick conference call to discuss his questions. He was especially thoughtful in using his previous pet knowledge to ask about flea & tick prevention and care. He was so self sufficient I got nervous when I didn’t hear back! But alas, it was just a texting error and he sent an update with pictures and commentary. He was very reliable and left our house in perfect working condition with pet foods refilled and our pets well loved. Thank you Randy!

Robin was amazing and the absolute sweetest! She has great communication prior to, during, and after the stay. She sent regular updates and I came back to a super clean and neat house as if no one has stayed there. She was a gem and Im so happy we connected. I know Lady was well taken care of while I was away.

John was very personable and made this sit happen after having a car accident a few days before. He loved Pepper and gave him loads of love. Pepper needed medication which he did and did what no other sitter has ever done…he brushed his teeth daily , that’s dedication! We were in Scotland and had cummication every day. Thank you John. Kelly and her daughter were excellent sitters, and we loved having them stay to watch our cat. Kelly was very clean, responsible, and organized. She was very proactive with communication leading up to the sit, and she was extremely reliable and sent lots of great updates and pictures during the sit as well. I would definitely recommend Kelly, and we would be more than happy to have her back in the future!

Christina did a great job of taking care of Rosie and Louie! She had excellent communication and I came home to a clean apartment and happy cats. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

Devon and Mitch are terrific people and house and pet sitters! We left the country for 10 days and they took care of our home, our kitties and they did it all perfectly! I would have Devon and Mitch come back anytime!

Thamy was an amazing sitter! Our cat loved her so much, and so did we. She went above and beyond both for our cat and house while we were away. Can't recommend her enough!
