We absolutely loved our stay with Breck in Cascais. Breck is an adorable little character and became our shadow whilst we were there. Cascais is a beautiful area and we were only steps away from the beach! Matthew was responsive for any queries we had and gave us all the information we needed prior to the sit!
I had a wonderful stay in Lesa's home. Archer is great company and no trouble at all to look after, I even got lots of cuddles from him! Lesa's 2 bedroom bungalow was extremely clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. The location is fantastic, 5-10 min drive to the beach, close to local shops and just outside of the back garden there is a walking/cycling trail which I made use of. Smart TV kept me entertained and I slept extremely well due to the quiet surroundings and comfortable bed. Lesa was very easy to get hold of and communicate with and left me a printed welcome pack. Thanks Lesa for having me to stay in your home and spend time with Archer!
This was our first sit. So thank you, Helen, so so much for your trust! We had a great time taking care of Micha and Dr. Fauchi. They are so cute together. Both are rather chilled cats, but they are also playful, especially at dusk. They needed time to adapt to us, but became more and more trustful over time. Helen is such a nice and friendly person. The communication was perfect and she responded super quickly to messages/questions. The flat itself is very nice, clean and well appointed. All the neighbours we met were really friendly and payed attention to the cats when they were outside in the yard. The area is also very nice with shops, restaurants and bars nearby. The next underground station (U7) is only 3 minutes away. We enjoyed our stay at Helen's place very much and would love to sit Micha and Dr. Fauchi again.
My stay was so lovely! Nadene was an absolute angel! Would definitely house sit for Emily again!
We had a wonderful time watching Milo and Pepper and staying in Stuart and Steph's beautiful home. The requirements were simple and well explained. The cats needed wet food at 5pm and the hot tub needed to be tested once per day, and once a week put the right bins out based on what the neighbors are doing. The cats themselves are quite friendly and Pepper in particular was more than willing to cuddle up on our laps. Both Milo and Pepper we're also vocal when they were ready for their dinner or if they just wanted a bit of attention for a tummy rub. It's hard to imagine more delightful cats to look after. Communicating with Stuart was a breeze and he gave us a thorough walkthrough prior to his departure. He was always just a quick WhatsApp message away. And he even picked us up at the Livingston North train station on arrival, which was a huge help with our luggage. The house is a 20 min walk from the train station and grocery store, which can take you to Edinburgh or Glasgow in no time at all. It's quite spacious with excellent WIFI which was key for us as we work remotely, furthermore it's also a smart house with Apple controlling most devices. We made frequent use of the hot tub and treadmill and the well appointed kitchen. The home has a dryer, too, which is rare for the UK, and a luxury we definitely appreciated. We highly recommend this sit and would be eager to return in the future!
I had a wonderful stay with Teddy, Daisy, and the chickens, in Los Osos. It was quite easy to develop a routine to tend to the needs of the pets, chickens, and the home and garden. My stay was 10 days, so in that time, and with detailed notes from Jen and Mike, I was able to enjoy making friends with Daisy and Teddy as well as meet with friends who may stop by to pick from the beautiful and bountiful gardens. Nobody escaped without at least a 1/2 dozen eggs :-) Neither Teddy nor Daisy presented any issues while walking either on or off leash at the park or beach, even around other dogs. Feeding was easy of both the dogs and the chickens with the instructions I was given. Caring for this number of chickens was really not an issue, though there may be some daily egg hunting involved. It was pretty neat to recognize the chickens warming up to me to where most of them would often come running when I appeared, and I could pet or pick up several of them. It was probably the fresh kale they were looking for. Jen and Mike's home is quite comfortable and Jen made me feel at home when she gave me the orientation. I would not hesitate to sit for Mike and Jen for Teddy, Daisy, and the chickens again. - Josh
