Austin left the house immaculately clean, and although the cat was very pleased to see us, she seemed very happy. However, unfortunately Austin thought it appropriate to bring a companion with him to sit without speaking to us about it at all. We have a security camera on our parking spot which triggered to my phone when him and the other man arrived, as we weren’t expecting anyone with a car I looked at it on my phone and was very unsettled by this. We chose Austin as he advertised himself as a solo traveler, and our cat isn’t that great with new people. We then spent our whole weekend away worrying about having a total stranger in our house with all our possessions and our pet and speaking with Zeewoi about what to do in this situation. Not the peaceful get away we had planned. We have since spoken with Austin and he has apologised and explained himself and we don’t believe it to have been anything other than a bad judgement call from himself.
We were fortunate to have Hannah look after our dog while we travelled for two weeks. She's very organised, reliable, and a great communicator—not to mention intelligent and adventurous. Hannah kept us well-informed about our dog and the house. Cookie seemed happy and well-cared-for, and the house was spotless upon our return. We would gladly have her back anytime.
