My husband and I had a wonderful time taking care of Dexter, the sweetest Maltese you’ll ever meet, and Beverly’s comfortable home. We arrived at Beverly’s shortly after our drive to Texas from Virginia and found it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Dexter warmed up to us immediately and we loved playing with him especially in Beverly’s huge back yard. He surprised us one morning by zooming around the yard as if to show us how happy he was! We never tired of watching his playfulness! Texas weather was beautiful that time of year and Floyd particularly enjoyed the hammock in the backyard. Beverly describes herself as a minimalist and her lack of clutter was a welcome sight! That said, her kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make our meals. Garland has an open-air shopping center with too many stores to count. There are several restaurants as well and we enjoyed them. Beverly is a pleasant and kind person. We enjoyed meeting her and would happily housesit Dexter in the future. Thank you, Beverly!
Connie and John have such a cozy and beautiful home located in a very quiet neighborhood. Cute little park down the road to walk Marley & Daisy to! You can't help but fall in love with those adorable Doodle Sisters...they are just so sweet and easy going. They love a change of scenery too. I took them on a few car trips to other local parks/neighborhoods and they had a blast! I would definitely love to house/dog sit for Connie & John again if the opportunity comes up. They are wonderful people! :)
We had a great time watching Balvenie! She’s such a loving dog. She doesn’t bark or beg for food while ur eating, she’s really well behaved and loves to cuddle as close to u as possible (which we loved!). The flat was beautiful and clean, with everything you need. And Lisa and John were super hospitable and very responsive. They made us feel at home and gave us clear instructions for Balvenie so there was no guess work which was great. Balvenie can be a little difficult to walk on certain days (like when it’s wet out) but once you get the hang of some of her quirks, it’s a hurdle you’ll be willing to get over because she’s such an angel and an ease to watch otherwise. We would watch Balvenie again in a heartbeat!
Zoe and David are pros at being house sit owners! They were extremely welcoming, organized and communication was excellent. We loved staying with Monty and Womble. They are 2 loving dogs, very easy to care for, and fun to sit. Their home is wonderfully modern, comfortable, bright and airy. We highly recommend this house sit and would happily sit there again!
I can't say enough good things about my stay with Pulgas and Mimi at Deb and Cyndy's lovely house in Sebastopol! The pups are very sweet and easy to care for. Being rescues, they were both a bit shy at first, but warmed up to me quickly and were great to spend time with. Keep them fed and watered and give them some belly rubs, a few treats, and they'll be happy as can be. And since they have a doggie door and a fenced-in yard, they can come in and out of the house as they want. They were very low-maintenance and easy to spend time with. Deb and Cyndy are incredibly lovely, warm, thoughtful, and welcoming -- it was such a pleasure meeting them and staying in their well-appointed home. Since I was traveling around dinnertime the few hours before I got there, they were kind enough to have a tasty dinner for us when I arrived. It was great to get to know both of these lovely, interesting women. Their home is new, tastefully decorated, and has a well-stocked kitchen, beautiful garden, and hot tub. Wifi was strong and reliable, which was important since I was working remotely while I was there. The house feels like it's in the country and I saw deers, hawks, owls, and more while I was there. It's just a 10-minute drive to the town of Sebastopol, though, which has great restaurants and tasting rooms. Also convenient to many tasting rooms and the coast. I loved my stay, would highly recommend this dog-sit to others, and would love to return again someday.
