Anouk and Nienke were fantastic House-sitters both so easy to get along with such lovely people, nothing was too much trouble they even did some weeding for us ! My Horse, Donkey and cat were very well looked after and it probably was a little challenging as we had so much rain. On our return the house was lovely and tidy sheets and towels all washed very organised. We would definitely recommend Anouk and Nienke as house-sitters. And would love to have them back in the future. Thank you both for looking after my house and animals so well and thank you for the cheese it was lovely. Suzie and Gary

Ilona & Eric stayed at our place for a few weeks over Christmas and did a great job looking after our cats and apartment! Organising the sit was easy and straightforward. Ilona & Eric were very well organised and kept us updated as they booked their travel and planned the visit. Communication was great throughout the sit. The cats were very well looked after, and we appreciated that Ilona and Eric took the time to understand the cat's needs before we left, especially how to handle medication. This made it easy to go away without worrying about the cats! Our plants were also very well cared for. We had a fun dinner together before we left, and really enjoyed getting to know each other. All in all, we were very happy with the sit and can strongly recommend Ilona & Eric as sitters. We would be happy to have them stay with us again any time.

Annet was lovely, very straightforward, easy to get on with and kind and loving towards our dogs. All you could wish for.

Manuela is a very sweet girl. She is social and kind to others. She helped my parents a lot (who live next door) and my mother really was a great fan of her. So she has good social skills. Manuela uses this site so she can find a place to stay, while she is looking for a job in the Netherlands or elsewhere in Europe. While she was staying in NL, she was following a study at the University. All that of course is not a problem at all; I realize that a lot of people here are using this site to find free or cheap accomodation. However this is a pet site, so the reliability and the quality of the petsitting should be the primary focus. 10 days before the sitting would take place, she informed me that she wouldn't be able to be present during the entire sit due to an in-person conference at the university that would last for a week. Of course this was less then ideal to me but since it was impossible to find another petsitter on such a short notice I went out of my way to find a replacement, and decided to pursue with her as my petsitter. However, half way during her stay she mentioned she would be gone for another week to do her exams at the university. So out of the entire month, she was only present for 50% of it. I had to make sure that I could find a replacement again. Luckily my stepdad was willing to take the care upon him. My pets are my babies so it is super important for me that the petsitter who applies for a period, actually is there the entire period. One of my cats, Frances was not eating well during her stay at my house. Of course that can happen; animals can get sick any time and that doesn't need to be a result of the care. However, my stepdad told me that the bowls in where the cats got their food in, were not clean and got dirty and even mold in it. When he stepped in and cleaned the bowls, Frances started eating again and after a couple of days he was back on his normal eating pattern. Another incident was with the rabbits, I gave her a manual in where I explicitly told her which veggies to give the rabbits and which not. I was not amused to see that she had fed them an entire plate of cut up carrots, while I had told her that they could only have a little piece of a carrot per day. My rabbits have supersensitive intestines and quickly to get gas problems. Carrots have a lot of sugar, so an entire plate can cause problems. Manuela did apply requests I made during my stay abroad; she did apply a spray against flies, when I asked her to and even washed one of the bunnies when that needed to happen. When I came home, I had to do some cleaning. Manuela hadn't noticed that the cats had been spraying on different places, including the kitchen counter and kitchen walls and cabinets. The state of the house was less important to me; I did notice she had cleaned the rabbit area very well so I was happy about that. I think Manuela did her best but just is a bit more casual about things then I would be.

Jasper and Madou were a complete breath of fresh air! They arrived just a couple of days after our wedding to quite a lot of chaos, and were so easy to have in the house. They were excellent with Zuko, and Arthur took to them very quickly. Sunna (bit of a diva) took a bit longer, but that's her nature. When we were away they kept us up to date on how everyone was doing at home, and although we didn't have a great deal of time when we got home, we are both hoping that they will come back and visit again soon and we will have a chance to get to know them better! A wonderful couple, and I would heartily recommend them to anyone looking for housesitters. Thank you to you both, and really hope to see you again soon! Huge hugs!! Alice

Renske and her son Felix were the ideal fit for our timid rescue cat Tigger. Tigger felt secure and interacted with them within a day. The house was left in an immaculate condition and the thank you biscuits were delicious. Please come and sit with us again.

Kelly and Selim were a delightful couple. Easy and comfortable company. They both speak and write fluent English. One of my cats had an infection and they took her to the vet for treatment and looked after her and my other cats with great care.

We couldn't be more pleased with Warren's care for our dog Nelson while we were away for three weeks. Nelson is a very needy, anxious, and sometimes barky dog, but Warren handled him with such calm and confidence that we felt completely at ease leaving him in Warren's care. Warren was totally self-sufficient and didn’t ask for a single bit of help, which made the whole experience stress-free for us. Not only did Warren take excellent care of Nelson, but he also went above and beyond by preparing the bedding for our next guests and watering all of our plants. He did everything we asked of him and more, always with a positive attitude and a lovely demeanor. We highly recommend Warren for any pet-sitting needs—he’s reliable, caring, and a pleasure to deal with. Nelson and our home were in great hands!

Here's We had the pleasure of having Jamie and Piet look after our house, garden, and pets for three weeks while we were on vacation, and we couldn’t have asked for better caretakers. From the very first online contact, we felt a connection with them. We had made a small mistake in our planning, but Jamie and Piet handled it with such ease and flexibility, which immediately put us at ease. Meeting them in person before our departure confirmed our confidence in leaving our home in their capable hands. Throughout our time away, they were incredibly self-sufficient, only sending the occasional update, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our vacation. This can be considered remarkable knowing that our home has its own set of quirks. Particularly delightful was hearing from several neighbors that Jamie and Piet were not only excellent house sitters but also incredibly kind and friendly. Knowing that their qualities didn’t go unnoticed by our neighbors is perhaps the highest compliment they could receive. When we returned home, the thoughtful notes they left behind felt like a warm welcome, and we were especially touched by the delicious meal they had prepared for us. Jamie and Piet come highly recommended as house sitters, and we are truly grateful to them for allowing us to enjoy our vacation with complete peace of mind. Thank you so much for all three of you!

Excellent experience with Eva & Leon watching our kitty, Ruby. Very good communication, trustworthy, and tidy. Ruby clearly loved their company based on the photos they shared. I can highly recommend them!

We loved having Lisette & Joop as sitters for our two cats. Planning and communication was easy, Aziraphale and Crowley were in great shape when we got back, and everything was tidy and clean. We'd gladly have them as sitters again.
