Chrissie
We loved taking care of Tinkerbell and DC. They are dream pets! So fun and so much personality. Chrissie and Robin's home was beautiful and a perfect location in the charming town of Marlow. Chrissie and Robin were so helpful and made our housesit easy. We would love to sit for them again!

We really enjoyed this sit! Lauren made sure to make the place extremely comfortable for us. The location was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for better behaved dogs than Loki and Thor! On top of that, they were super cuddly and adorable.

Rosie was a dream to look after, well behaved, gentle & very affectionate. She's very well trained, especially with tricks and buttons she presses for 'outside' & 'play' which are highly amusing, she's great fun and loves to play!
We had a very comfortable stay in Ana & Robs clean, spacious home and lovely garden....the mattress is super comfy & we made very good use of the coffee machine!
Communication with Ana & Rob was efficient & friendly ~ we highly recommend them for a house sit....we miss Rosie already! 🙂

Carol
I had a nice time with Molly on Tybee Island. Although, we got off to a rocky start (she didn’t like a stranger in her home without Carol there to greet me) she warmed up quickly and we were best buds. She is well behaved on walks and pays no attention to other dogs, cats or wildlife. She enjoys a few short walks around the block, a longer walk and potty breaks in the backyard. She was not demanding and liked hanging out on the patio by herself at times. She’s very sweet and enjoyable to be around. She just doesn’t like strangers in the home and gets very anxious and stressed out, so best to not have anyone besides you in the house during the sit. Carol had a couple of her friends stop over with their kids (to park and use the restroom) before heading to the beach and Molly got very anxious.
There was no online welcome guide filled out, but Carol provides a one page brief summary. We stayed in touch via WhatsApp and she answered any questions that popped up. She arrived home a day early, but allowed me to stay until the originally agreed upon end date. This was a good sit and I enjoyed getting to know Carol and Molly and hope I get another chance to sit for her again.
*note: the location map says Savannah, but as Carol mentions in her introduction, she’s on Tybee Island*

Candace
We loved our time in Candace's place. The house was quite nice, conveniently located in a place away from the chaos of Ao Nang but still close to many strategic places such as Makro market, Lotus Market, night markets and eateries. The house had a pool and a full kitchen. We really enjoyed home cooked meals and cool dips in Thailand's hot weather.

Candace provided all the relevant information both about the house, Edith Ann and location. She met us at the airport and took us directly to Jeff, the best motorbike shop around. She had even reserved a motorbike for us. We were very happy about Candace's hospitality. She was quite communicative that everything was ready when we arrived Krabi.

Edith Ann, namely EA, was the sweetest cat. She was very easy going and full of love. She demanded her daily brushes in her bowl. She never tried to escape the garden and hanged out with us when we watched TV. We would definitely sit for EA if we cross paths again.

We can't say enough nice things about our 7-week housesitting assignment here! First off, the homeowners, Marti and John, are two of the nicest people we've met! We thoroughly enjoyed visiting and sharing meals with them. The time with them passed so quickly. They have traveled extensively and have many interesting, entertaining stories they shared. They are very well-educated and possess a vast amount of knowledge on many topics. Their house is a bibliophile's dream: their library is extensive and covers many disciplines. They have lived here a long time because it is such a wonderful place, and they were able to give us a lot of advice about Topanga as well as numerous other locations to assist us in our travel plans. Their welcome guide was thorough and included all kinds of information, including cat care, emergency contact information, as well as detailed information on a variety of topics such as when/how to bring recycling to the street (with photos).

The house is spacious and comfortable. They have a million-dollar view from the 2nd floor balcony! Enjoying coffee on the balcony (usually with Teddy) is a very pleasant way to start the day. (We kept the binoculars handy for watching hawks and, surprisingly, also parrots!) Their home is truly lovely! They have a large collection of artwork in various forms including embroidered textiles from their travels, fine hand-woven baskets, small stained glass lamps, and whimsical bedroom lamps with cats reading books using magnifying glasses! Marti's mother is an amazing artist and her paintings are everywhere...And I love them!

The home is like an oasis in the city. We never even ventured into downtown LA until after this housesit. (John kindly drove us around Woodland Hills and gave us tips about where to get groceries.) This area is quiet and peaceful. Just walking down to get the mail was enjoyable as it involved crossing a small bridge over a babbling creek. Deer, often in a group of 3, were frequent visitors! Their home is located in a nature lover's paradise! There are so many stunning hiking trails (of varying degrees of difficulty) both near or a short drive away. And the beaches were fantastic!!

Now, saving the best for last: Teddy and Charlie! They were a joy to care for. These two beautiful kitties are full of personality! They were a delight as they kept us entertained. They are cuddly on their own terms...like most cats. They both loved being brushed regularly, especially Teddy. And their coats are super soft, so brushing was something we all enjoyed!

Housesitting opportunities like this are rare and we feel so fortunate to have spent 7 wonderful weeks exploring and enjoying life here. Would we do it again? Absolutely!!
