Michael and Joanne are great at communicating pre-visit, during and post-visit. We checked in with each other, they shared pics of the cat and stayed in touch on their departure and my return plans. When I return my cat was the happiest I have ever seen her after being away. She was content and wasn’t “yelling” at me about being left alone. The house was left nicer than they found it and all of their little touches were greatly appreciated. Not only did I have a great sitting experience, but we each made a new friend. I highly recommend Michael and Joanne for your home and pet sitting. Cheers!
Claire was great with communicating and we felt immediately at home. No question felt silly and we appreciated that - just a very lovely person to sit for! Claires home is wonderful. It is super peaceful and perfectly situated for walks and getting to the beach. A big supermarket is also a short walk away. Storm and Peanut were an absolute delight to look after. Storm is the sweetest lap cat and Peanut is the master of catching the laser. They have a cat flap, so they were also very independent. A big thank you to Claire for a wonderful sit.
We were so so very lucky to house sit for Emma and spend the week in the beautiful Hungerford with Benji. Emma oriented us and showed us lovely routes we could take with Benji which was greatly appreciated! Benji was truly the best dog we have ever met and we had total confidence in his recall off lead and behaviour at all times. He was so lovely and cuddly which was fantastic in the winter weather. We miss him already!
We had a wonderful time house-sitting for Sally and John, they have a beautiful home in an even more beautiful location. They were so welcoming on our arrival and allowed us to feel at home and get settled in, especially dedicating a full day to take us out on a coastal route with Rosie and introduce us to their friend Fiona. Now onto the best part of our stay! ROSIE! She is such a lovely well mannered dog that is just so full of character, every time you look at her, her eyes speak to you, you really can tell what she wants... which is food most of the time, or to chase something in the garden. She is so well-behaved on walks and travelling in the car, we even brought her on a few trips to visit Rob's Nanny and family in Cork City and she was as good as gold. We found her routine easy to get into the rhythm of and it complimented our working hours nicely, and she knew it like clockwork too! We met many of the locals and soon enough were stopping to say hello more than walking! Anyone who gets to house-sit for Sally and John would be so lucky and Rosie is a joy to be around, we hope they'll have us back!
Barry and Bette were wonderful hosts. I arrived A day early and they treated me so well. I got to know Higgins very quickly and we became fast friends. He loved the attention and was excited for a couple of nice long walks each day. Barry and Bette had everything I needed ready for me and we set up a great communication system so that I could keep them abreast of Higgins' adventures. The house is located just outside of the town of Owen Sound in a very quiet, picturesque area, very close to the lake. Leaving was hard as I bonded with Highins right away. I hope to be able to return in the future.
Max is a well trained and friendly ball of energy. Recommended for those who love to give long walks and plenty of playtime.
What a great sit! Eric was very accommodating with my arrival and departure. He is a lovely host, genuine and communicative. He gave me a tour of the house and made me feel right at home. I had some car issues on my first day and Eric allowed me to use his car. The house is super comfortable and has everything you could need. It’s in a very safe neighbourhood, within walking distance to shops and the park. I absolutely loved taking care of Gracie! She is such a sweet girl. Within minutes of meeting her she was affectionate and fun to play with. Everyone we met while out walking loved her. She’s very expressive and always greets you with a smile. Thank you Eric for a lovely stay!
