Jacky, Mick, Treacle, Pudding and Flossie just couldn't be better. My wife and I truly fell in love with everything to do with this housesit. From walking around the reservoir to visiting the local bakeries to exploring the markets in neighbouring towns, this is a wonderful area made even better by three beautiful dogs. Jacky and Mick made both of us feel so welcome, even supplying spare clothes when our bags didn't arrive at Toulouse airport, and we felt like a part of the family. The three dogs stole our hearts and there was nothing better than the breathtaking walks first thing in the morning or the company and companionship they all offered. I would not hesitate in recommending this housesit. We would absolutely go back in a heartbeat and we will stay in touch with Jacky and Mick for a very long time.
Pet sitting for Kathleen’s two awesome cats proved to be an enjoyable experience. Kathleen is organized and articulate in explaining needs and requirements. This in turn helped both myself and the cats! They were easy to care for and we got along well. I would be happy to care for Bohdi and Wiley again some day!!
We had a wonderful pet sit at Sophie's- her 3 dogs Fluffy, Sammy and Stitch are very well trained and so loveable. Their twice daily walks were very enjoyable as Sophie lives right next to the beach and 2 parks. You are even able to let the dogs off the lead at the beach and park as they will come back to you when asked. Her cat Misto is content as long as you keep to his food routine and is very independent. Their home is extremely comfortable. You also have time between dog walks to explore the local area as the Dart is so close. We arrived a few hours before Sophie and her family had to leave for their break . This was very helpful as it gave Sophie time to talk through her pets' needs . She kindly took time to accompany us on a walk with the dogs too. This really helped make us feel confident and at ease with Fluffy, Sammy and Stitch. Sophie goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable with your responsibilities and enjoy the sit. She is very kind and personable.
Amazing sit! Beautiful location, great hosts, awesome pets. Nicolas and Marzia made me feel welcome and explained what we needed to know for the sit. (Family members joined me on this sit, with their OK.) Miele is the sweetest dog. He loves his walks on the many trails behind the house. He’s very easy going and loves to be petted. Lucie is so cute, and loves to play or nap in your lap. She made us laugh more than once with her antics. Simba is easy going and slept at our feet at night, as did Lucie. Guiliano is friendly and often hung out nearby. It’s easy to feed the outdoor cats that sleep in the laundry room. All the pets were sweet and enjoyable to be around. The house is spacious and very comfortable. It is filled with light from large windows that look out over the picturesque village. There is a big TV, comfortable couch, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed to cook, including sharp knives (bonus!). Plenty of space for our own groceries. We found the beds comfortable. Internet speed was good, and tested anywhere from 50 - 400+. The village has a wonderful cheese shop, bakery and butcher within easy walking distance of the house. All are well worth a visit. It’s also easy to take the bus into Fribourg for larger grocery shops and other stores. We did not rent a car and got along fine with the bus. Nicolas and Marzia were great about staying in touch and answering questions. The only downside was we didn’t want to leave!
Mariela made sure I was well prepared for the task of looking after and enjoying the company of Remy in her lovely, quiet and centrally located flat near Anton Martin metro station. Although this was her first time using Trusted Housesitters she presented an excellent and comprehensive welcome pack before the start of the sit. When I arrived the flat was being professionally cleaned and Mariela showed me around the area to help me get my bearings and to introduce me to the dog handler who takes care of Remy during weekdays from 9.00 till 6.00pm. Remy is delightful company. He is well socialized and affectionate. He loves his city walks and his basket of toys, selecting the one he wants us to play with next! He also enjoys a nap on the very comfortable sofa! We both enjoyed using the lift although the flat is on the first floor! (The wooden stairs are quite worn and somewhat irregular as a result as it is an older style building.) The flat is well equipped and cosy. It was amazingly quiet too with very respectful neighbours. I slept very well. I was able to visit many museums and galleries during my ‘free’ time. Remy quickly bonded with me and relaxed in his familiar surroundings. He showed no signs of anxiety even though I was his first housesitter experience. For all these reasons and because Mariela had created a very well organised use of living space I thoroughly enjoyed this housesit. Mariela also set up a Whatsapp Support group for me too so that I could contact a neighbour or her brother who lived nearby. In addition, Mariela responded whenever I needed advice. I felt fully in charge but also well supported - an ideal combination when taking sole responsibility. Thank you for making so much effort so I had the best chance of success. It was a privilege and a pleasure looking after Remy here for two weeks in Madrid. The internet was excellent and Mariela mentioned beforehand that she had no tv. She kindly left aside some great books for me to read about Madrid and improve my level of Spanish. It was impressive to see her switch easily from Spanish to English as we visited the pet food store to ensure Remy was well provided for in her absence.
I had a great time taking care of Gus last weekend. Both Ted and his wife are easy to communicate with. Gus is a sweetheart who will take you for a walk around his neighborhood 😀. Jana greeted me at the house and showed me around and made sure I had all my questions answered. She also cleaned the house right before I got there so everything was spotless. They live in a beautiful neighborhood right between downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. I enjoyed spending a little time exploring the area as well. Thanks for your trust Ted and Jana. Enjoyed my time watching your sweet Gus.
