Emily and Diego sat for us for 10 days. We actually had an advantage to share a meal at our house the evening before we left to get more acquainted, share information, and answer initial questions. While we were gone, Emily sent daily pictures of our two cats which we appreciated in all different settings and poses! We wish Emily well in her future sits.
Renata was a great dog/house sitter. She came to the house one night earlier, just so that she and I would not have to worry about her being on time for the sit, which began the next morning. Renata is friendly and comfortable to be with. She and the dogs got along great from the moment she walked in the door. Renata is self-sufficient, so I didn't have to worry about her at all. She took good care of the dogs, sent photos and made me feel confident with my choice of sitters. Although Renata offered to stay with the dogs until I arrived home, I texted her when I was on my way and offered her the choice to go home before I got there, which she did. She left the house clean & neat, and she even texted me when she arrived at her home to make sure I got home all right. I would definitely recommend Renata to anyone who needs a sitter.
Kamila was an awesome sitter for our boys! She is communicative and adaptable. She took some last minute feeding instructions in stride. She sent daily updates and left our place so clean! Would absolutely work with Kamila again!
I had the pleasure of pet-sitting for Jacque and had an absolutely wonderful experience with Jax and Marley. Jax, with his laid-back demeanor, brought a sense of calm and tranquility, while Marley’s playful spirit kept me entertained during the time I spent with her. Both dogs are incredibly sweet, each with their own unique charm that made my time with them truly special. Jacque was a delightful host—warm, welcoming, and gracious. She allowed me time with the dogs prior to her leaving, which made it a better transition for all of us. I have moved for work quite a bit since I first got my dog Penny, and this is the only daycare, boarding experience she is fundamentally happy to go to. Ken and Gary care so much about the dog son their care, and are simply wonderful people. Tail towers was a game changer for me in Amsterdam. Penny got picked up in the morning and dropped off late afternoon every week day, she got multiple walks a day, tons of play time with the other dogs, and so many places to nap and be comfortable. When I traveled she was loved and cared for as if she were their dog. Don’t hesitate, get your dog signed up for Tail Towers as soon as you can!
Gary and Ken have been our dog walkers/ sitters now for almost the entire 2 years we have been in Amsterdam. They've always been there for us whether its been for a vacation, or just me getting stuck at work late. Our dog Buddy goes twice a week for Old Doggy Day Care and the pictures Gary sends definitely show Buddy is having a great time. I'm pretty sure Buddy likes Ken more than me.
Tails of the City is amazing! Our dog goes there every week for the daycare and she absolutely loves it. Gary and Ken provide us with lovely pictures and videos which make us feel not only that our dog is safe there but that she is having loads of fun (and so are they!). It is definitely her favorite day of the week. I used to joke that she prefers Gary to us, but I’m starting to suspect that is actually true. Highly recommended!
I highly recommend Tails of the City! I am really grateful to have found them after so many bad experiences in Amsterdam. Tails is trustworthy, consistent and caring - and I think it really comes down to one simple thing: They love animals. Tails takes such good care of Joey, who is getting old and sick. They are gentle and calm, and give him just the right chin skritches to make him a happy cat. The best part - they send cute photo updates. You really can't ask for more. 😸
Gary and Ken (who run Tails of the City) are the people I trust most with looking after my Frenchie, Albie, whilst I'm at work / away from Amsterdam. Both of them care so deeply for all the dogs that they look after and make sure that they have great experiences through play, walks, snuggles and sleep! They're also great at communication with me as an owner - a couple of times, changes in Albie's behaviour/habits have been shared which has led to me making different decisions with him (in particular going to vets or re-training him in some areas). Throughout the daycare days, they both send updates to me to show me what Albie is up to during the day which always brings a smile to my face. Ultimately, they love the animals they care for like their own and - through the good and the bad times - make sure the animals have everything that the need. We absolutely love everything about Team Tails! Ken and Gary have been looking after our older dog Ginger for 2.5 years now, and their newer team member Megan has recently dog-sat twice as well. All three of them are fantastic people that we (humans) totally trust while we're away, and our dog thinks they're the greatest, too. I don't think you'll find a more professional, communicative, and loving team in Amsterdam to take care of your animals. Just make sure to book them in advance because they're quite popular. Initially, Ken & Gary helped me with my 2 kitties when I was traveling. I have had friends stay with my cats and the kitties seemed more demanding and needy than after a week with Team Tails. I knew my cats were well cared for, played with and loved from how they responded when I returned. Since I adopted my rescue pup from Serbia, Team Tails has been my saving grace! From urgently taking care of my boy for two weeks when I had a family emergency to helping him grow into a confident, playful, dog-friendly pup at doggy daycare, Team Tails has been loyal, attentive, dependable, kind and generous.
Tails of the City are among the best dog walking and sitting service I’ve ever used. Gary and Ken treated our Harvey like he was their own - including helping us rehab him from a serious injury. When we travelled, we never worried about Harvey - we knew he was in the best care possible and we appreciated the regular updates both during his weekly walks as well as when we went away. I can’t recommend them enough and our only regret about moving to the next town over is that we couldn’t take them with us. I love Team Tails! We've been clients of theirs since we moved here in October of last year. Wally is absolutely in love with Ken & Gary (and before, Shannon as well). Our cat Maggie never really liked staying at a cat pension. It stressed her out, and she'd often come home scruffy and anxious. Looking for an alternative, we came across Steven from Creature Comforts Pet Sitting, and we couldn't have been luckier. From the first interaction, Steven was always quick to respond, accommodating, and transparent. Before the cat sitting period, we had a first meeting to provide the keys for the apartment, and for Steven to meet Maggie. Maggie, being a former stray, is usually pretty shy around strangers, and didn't really approach Steven during the first meeting. From Steven's first visit onwards, though, Maggie became super affectionate, approachable, and relaxed. We got daily updates on Maggie, plus a photo and sometimes a video. Steven took the time to give Maggie plenty of pets, brush her, or play with her during his visits. Even when we had a special request such as an earlier visit on a certain day, or watering our plants, Steven was more than happy to accommodate. In addition to the wonderful service, Creature Comforts' daily rate for a 20-minute visit is hardly more expensive than any nice cat pension in the Amsterdam area. Plus, your cat gets to stay in her familiar surroundings, and can stay much more relaxed that way. We are incredibly happy with the level of service, kindness, and attention to detail at Creature Comforts. Steven took wonderful care of my bunny while I was away! He was very conscious and attentive to her needs (especially on a particularly hot summer day), and I felt at ease knowing she was being cared for with love. Steven was very professional and communication was great with daily updates and photos. Creature Comforts is now my go to pet sitter!

This is a wonderful business run with care and love. The owner is thoughtful, attentive, and communicative. He is incredible with cats and dogs. His calm demeanor helped our old cat (20 years old!) to feel comfortable and safe. He sent us pictures and videos each day he visited her and checked in to make sure we returned home from our travel, showing his own personal concern over our cat and her return to us. When we met with him to get our home keys back, he was generous with funny stories about our cat and with tips for the neighborhood (we were new!). We are very thankful for this service and will unquestionably return next time we need someone to take care of our old cat.

The Paw House Amsterdam has been Buddy’s second house for the last five years. Yvonne takes very good care of him, she is very responsible and reliable, regularly sends us updates and pictures. There was a situation when Buddy didn’t feel well. She took him to the vet and administered medicine. We are very happy with Yvonne’s services and fully recommend her.

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing The Paw House Amsterdam is. I use to only travel if my little pup could come with me or if my brother could watch him, until I met Yvonne! Bentley has stayed with Yvonne numerous times over the past several years - for doggy daycare, weekend stays, and up to 2 weeks. I completely trust Yvonne to care for my pup. She sends pictures and stays in good contact and my dog is always happy to see her. One time while I was away for a long stay, my dog had an ear infection. Yvonne took Bentley to the vet, gave him medicine, and continued to care for him until I came home. When the opportunity arises, I never hesitate to recommend The Paw House!

We have been using Chris's services for about a year. He is great with dogs and our dog (Cody) loves going to stay with Chris. Chris is an excellent trainer as well. Every time Cody comes back from staying with Chris, he's learned some new trick or positive behavior.
What can I say about Chris and Delusional Dogs. Actually it's more about what our dog says (dog speak) and does when he knows it's time to go to Chris! He loves his play days when he spends the day with Chris and his other charges. And at the end of the day he is completely zonked out. What more can you want. Chris has also looked after our dog overnight on a couple of occasions and the photos show what a fun time he has. Chris has helped him be a better dog as well.Seeing Chris with his new mode of transport makes him a very unique sight around town! So all good and thoroughly recommended.
Chris is experienced trainer/sitter, took good care of our doggie, which is true relief during our away period. Our doggie was happy and became more social with other dogs. Chris also waived some extra charge, definately will come back when going out next time.

We left our dog for almost 2 weeks, all seemed ok by the photos, since he seemed to have regular walks on the forest (though we ask Pedro to not make him exercise so much for 8mc puppy extensive walking every day and playing later with dogs is just too much) . When arriving late evening during winter (January) we noticed our dog was outside with another dog without supervision, while other dogs were inside with Pedro and his wife, so we do not know If this was a regular thing and if he was more left outside during this wintertime for an extended period of time without even dog cover we provided (we did not receive single photo when dog had it during walks) In the beginning, we were concerned since we noticed one of the dogs was very aggressive to him. When getting the dog, he seemed very scared and confused of human contact (he run into the bushes when he spotted people, we need to wait for him to recognize us, then he come out ). When arriving home, we noticed he was not calm. He was coughing a lot and we noticed he had a lot of marks (scars) and still one wound in one of the legs, we cannot tell if this was in the forest/woods walks or any other reason, but was very concerning to see the dog like this. The next day we took to the vet and he confirmed that the dog had “Kennel cough”, a bad eye infection and wounds in this number do not look normal for him. Additional terrible contact with sitter after picking up the dog. Very rude person with lack of control of himself.
that was probably one of the worst times of his life. We pick him up super sad, scared & cold (I was hugging him at home and for almost 50min he was constantly shivering). He has a lot of small scars all over the body and what worse he had a very intensive cough. He scared us so much that first thing in the morning we took him to the vet. For these few days he is again with us he is getting better but he is afraid of people still.
Owner always think is all best from his side and he is always right. If something is not going as he wants he has very bad contact with a client.

Super nice people. We took great care of Boncuk (10-month-old Golden Retriever) during my stay in the hospital. Even had to sleep upstairs on their bed.....because he panicked downstairs.... Absolutely recommended!!
Great care, the dogs receive personal attention and are in a homely, pleasant environment. They also take an extended walk of 2 hours, to the beach or to the forest. Very satisfied and definitely recommended!

I was very happy when a friend told me about these petsitters because I only want the best care for my cat. David and Cassandra came to meet me and Flora a week before I was leaving and really took the time to get to know Flora and understand all her needs. I had only adopted her a few weeks previously so was a bit concerned about going away so soon after that, but she'd settled in well and I was just going for 4 days at Christmas, which had already been booked. Cassandra was fantastic, sending me updates and pictures twice a day. Videos were more difficult because Flora is super speedy when playing! When I returned she was happy to see me, but clearly very relaxed. I won't hesitate to use this service again and would highly recommend it.
Amsterdam Pet Sitter did an amazing job taking care of my 2 year old Australian Sheperd while we were away for 3 weeks. They took such great care of our baby and our house. Amsterdam Pet Sitter did a beyond excellent job sitting my 2 (very pampered) cats. My cats have trauma and don't react well to many things, including strangers. They worked with me and the cats, with additional meet and greets to ensure that the booked sit would go well. My cats need an emotional support human and someone to give them medicine. This was no issue for Amsterdam Pet Sitter. I got regular updates whilst I was away, including pictures showing how relaxed my cats were. This allowed me to relax whilst away, not needing to worry if the cats were ok or stressed. I look forward to working with and booking Amsterdam Pet Sitter for my future trips.
It was so easy to work with Amsterdam Pet Sitters! After an initial intake meeting and thorough onboarding paperwork they stayed at my home to care for my endlessly energetic dog, Taco. I travelled first time to Amsterdam with my dog Winston. While it was great traveling to this dog friendly city, I wanted to take few hours and visit museums. My hotel concierge introduced me to Dave and Cassandra for pet sitting service. They are both very nice and reliable. They took great care of Winston while I was gone. I would definitely contact them next time when I return!
I recently used Amsterdam Pet Sitter to take care of my cats. As a pet owner, you’re always a bit nervous when someone new takes care of your babies. But David made sure I got an update every day on how they were doing! He even made sure to tell me if there were certain details, like how the cats were feeling. I received daily updates, including photos and videos of Stitch which were a delightful reassurance that he was in good hands. Dave and Cassandra went above and beyond by not only feeding and walking them but also engaging him in play and giving him plenty of affection. It was clear that they truly cared about his well-being. I will definitely be using their services again in the future! I threw out my back 2 weeks ago and Pumpkin Pie’s litter was in dire straits. Amsterdam Pet Sitter to the rescue! David was here the next day! David is lovely, attentive to details, and just a pleasure to deal with. Litter is scooped! My hero! I’m definitely planning on using him and Cassandra when I go on holiday!
