Oh what a lovely first experience using THS! Angie was so welcoming and friendly from the first moment. Lucky and Rollo are the happiest puppies and just velcroed themselves to me the entire sit, so happy even for just the tiniest bit of attention. They were well behaved (Rollo just might try to steal Lucky and Jester's food), and lovely back and feet warmers at night. I miss them so much already! Jester was never really bothered with my presence, but by the 3rd night also came begging for scritches. The tortoises were elusive, but cute when you spot them out and about. I am so grateful to Angie, her home is so beautiful and streamlined (automatic everything and no loadshedding), and she even left some cute toiletries and things for me that made me feel like I was in a hotel. Her instructions were very clear and I felt welcome in her space. Baie Dankie!!
Just wonderful people and a wonderful place to stay. The entire place was fantastic, from the truly unique location to feeling as if you were staying in a museum, to the incredible hospitality of our hosts. Everything from the start to the finish was just fantastic. We would very happily, do this again, if given the opportunity. And the pets were simply wonderful.
We had a lovely time sitting for Gloria and her pals, the chickens and the 3 cats. All the animals are straightforward to look after. The chickens are very friendly and always ran up to us and would wander into the house if the door was open. Gloria will sit for her food and looks very glamorous with her curly locks! The cats are very friendly, they go out and about as they please but were happy to sit on our lap and have a stroke when they were in the mood. Zoe & Nic's home is spacious, warm and great fun with a pool table, outdoor pool and we loved the decor especially the boar with the top hat and the downstairs loo! Zoe & Nick are friendly and welcoming and very good at communicating throughout. It's a lovely sit to do if you get the opportunity.
House Sitting for Becky was a real pleasure. She is a great communicator, the house is beautiful and in a stunning location and the two dogs were a delight to walk. She also very kindly left a fridge full of food and a lovely bottle of wine! The village has a delightful pub and you can walk the dogs without having to use the car. We also met Becky's dad on the day we were leaving (one of the dogs we looked after was his) and he too was a charming and very warm man. Lovely family. Definitely worthwhile for anyone thinking of house sitting here. We loved it!! Tony and Celia
I had a wonderful time with Nikko and Nimboo. They both love attention and are very sweet. They have the perfect backyard. Leona is thoughtful and accommodating. I would love to spend more time there.
