Skip and Jessica were great with our cats - the trust and love the kitties showed them when we got back were a clear testament to that! Besides being obvious animal lovers, they were friendly and easygoing people who showed a lot of interest in Munich and the region; so much so that they taught us things we didn't know before.
Pat and Jim were wonderful hosts. Their fur babies Sadie and Lucy were a dream to take care of. We only met Lucy for a moment because Pat and Jim took Lucy with them, Lucy was such a sweetie when we were introduced to her. This housesit we watched over only Sadie and she was all love and cuddles. Pat and Jim made us feel right at home and they were easy to get a hold of if we needed them. Even though it was a short stay it was by far one of the best housesitting experiences we have had on our continuous 8 year unplanned road trip across America. My pet sit for 6 weeks with Ada and Lilly was just so lovely and beautiful! They are adorable pets, easy to take care of, kind and friendly. Lilly loves to be petted and Ada loves to play her ball and other toys a lot. Lilly is independent but likes to be around you and purr sweetly. Ada likes to have walks on her streets also. There is a bay nearby which is super nice. I enjoyed walking and biking around (Brighton and Sandgate). Ada and Lilly live in a beautiful home with a stunning lounge/ living room and a veggie garden which reminded me home. I instantly felt safe and good there and enjoyed my stay very much! It was nice to water the veggies, enjoy the sun in the lounge, take long relaxing baths and evening walks with Ada. Couldn’t ask for a better place and nicest people. Jean and Frank are so friendly and inspiring. It was easy to communicate and great to have a longer talk as well when they got back. I’m extremely grateful for that experience and my time in Brighton!
Last week we had the time of our life in Ortal and Micah’s stunning wooden mansion in the beautifull Oakland Hills. Otis, a 3 year old Tibetan Terriër, is such a sweetheart. He slept close to us in our huge bed and he followed us where ever we walked in or outside the house. On tuesday and thursday a dog walker picks up Otis for a long walk with other dogs, he loves that! And we had fun learning him some new tricks 😁 We had great contact with Ortal and Micah before and while they visited their studying daughter in Paris. They are great communicators and provided us with all the information we needed. In the online manual on the trusted house sitter website gave us great tips. We sent daily pictures of Otis and our walks and luckily could stay a little longer when their flight delayed. The property located in the Upper Rockridge Oakland Hills is a dream. You can feel the love Ortal and Micah in its tasteful house furnishing. It makes you feel at home right away! The kitchen has everything a foodlover wishes for and together with a garden full of fruit, herbs and vegetables made us stay at home most of the time to cook and listen to the best jazzrecords ever while we enjoyed the most beautiful golden hours overlooking the bay at a distance. The only downside was that it was just a week 😉 We sincerely hope that we can take care of Otis again in the future and will keep in touch with Ortal and Micah for sure. Valerie and Jon were generous and superb hosts and it was a pleasure to hang w their two lovable kitties in one of my fave old neighborhoods. They offered clear concise instructions and we communicated whilst they traveled. Team work-- a total win-win.
Joe and Sarah welcomed us into their home as if we were their friends. They explained everything to us in a very clear way. Their house is beautiful and comfortable, and the cats are very affectionate fluffs. Marge is hanging around you all day asking for affection. It took Scruffy a little longer to get closer but after a few hours he already trusted us let us pet him. Barney is a very funny cat who likes to play and get your attention :) We also fed a fox at night that we didn't get to see. And we fed birds that were in the yard looking for food all day. We are so grateful to have met this couple and their pets.
Oscar was an absolute pleasure to look after. He needed minimal attention from me, however a lot of cuddles on the sofa - which was the highlight of my stay! Antonia & Yannick’s house is absolutely beautiful, a very spacious yet cosy house. It is also a perfect distance to Westward Ho! village and beach which took me less than 15minutes to walk to. It was nice to visit the spectacular long beach, and the Northam Burrows which was a delight to visit (even during the rain). They made me feel very welcomed in their home, and I had all the amenities I needed. Thank you so much for being so hospitable! It was lovely to have the hassle-free factor of not needing to bring bedding, towels and arriving to some thoughtful treats! Oscar was very easy to look after and I’d love to offer to dog sit again. All-in-all, an excellent first time using the TrustedHousesitters App!
