Jillian was a lovely sitter! She was a great communicator, very tidy, and sent pictures of Nucky on the stay. They got along great. Happy to have her sit.
Jenny looked after our two cats and home. She was very organized and was even able to meet up in person prior to her stay since she commonly travels to San Francisco. She took great care of the kitties during the stay, and made it a seamless transition to our other family friends/sitters. We would love to have Jenny again!
We had a wonderful time at Maria's and Paul's place, they were both warm, kind and welcoming and super smooth with our communications. The kitty family stole our hearts, with that being said Fridolin, Lili, Manolo and Felipe were an absolute pleasure to pet sit and hard to say goodbye to! :')
Steve and Karen were great hosts for us making sure we had everything we needed to care for their pets. Feedings them was a snap as we were left with clear instructions for morning and evening meals. The three dogs each got different amounts in their bowls and Jak-Jak got a few pills each meal -3 in the morning and 2 in the evening. Pill pockets made this easy as we just put them in the bowl with the dry food. It was a sight to see them eat so fast as soon as the bowls hit the ground. Ripley - the daschund - would usually finish first and would inspect the other bowls (and the floor) afterwards for any missed pieces. I don’t think he was ever lucky enough to find any. When the dogs went outside, Tanner was definitely the explorer checking out almost every corner of this large property. After all that running, they’d get their treats and then retire to a nap on blankets on the couches. The horses have a very nice area to roam and a newly built overhanging roof that wraps around 3 sides of the barn. They took advantage of that shade on the hot days and were waiting there for us when it was time to feed. Steve and Karen had shown us the feeding routine a few weeks before our stay but also left easy written instructions. Hay in the morning and evening along with a specific mix of grains and supplements for each horse in the morning. After a couple days, it was simple enough to do from memory. The only other things to do was to fill the water (the spicket pours right into the container) and periodically clean up after them if you know what I mean. Abbie is definitely the alpha horse but there were never any issues between her, Mage and T-Bird. They just all knew their place. All were well mannered - never showing any spooking or aggression. Steve and Karen have a beautiful home made in part from the huge timbers of two 150+ year old log homes. The house was clean and comfortable. It is set back from the street hundreds of feet and hidden behind trees. Sitting on the rocking chairs or porch swing was amazing. Lori and I highly recommend this for other house sitters in the future.
It was a great pleasure to cat and house sit for Beth and Mercia, they are wonderful hosts and made me feel welcomed. They have a beautiful home in a great location in Long Beach with walking distance to restaurants, shops, boardwalk and the beach. I went on many walks by the beach and biked on the boardwalk with stunning sunrise and sunset. And it’s only one hour by train to Manhattan. But most important, the cats! They are such sweet kittens, all special in their own unique way. They are shy in the beginning and on the first day I only saw Moo. But when they warmed up and trusted me we all got along as good friends. They where easy to love and care for and I miss them a lot. Thank you all and I hope we meet again!
Anna and Graham are super easy going and looking after Benson and Hagrid was an absolute pleasure. Communication with Anna and Graham was smooth and easy; they were very hospitable and friendly. The dogs were loving and a lot of fun. It was hard to say good bye to the dogs when we hard to leave as we really enjoyed looking after them. We would be delighted to come back and pet sit again anytime. There are some superb walks to be had with the dogs in the woods, walking paths and farmers fields nearby. Anna and Graham's home is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. A truly idilic place in the middle of the countryside, perfect for disconnecting, recharging and enjoying nature. The nearest village is Bishops Waltham which is about a 4.5 mile drive and Portsmouth is about a 22 mile drive away and well worth visiting if you have the opportunity to.
Sochi and Moscow were such great companions during my stay in Sausalito. They loved going for walks, were well behaved and I'd happily look after them again! Ruth has a beautiful, peaceful home with breathtaking views. It is walking distance to everything you need. The communication could have been a little better but other than that, I really enjoyed my stay!
Wonderful family with an adorable pup in the most in a magical setting in Mill Valley! Local trails, Mt. Tam, Muir Woods, SF, all within minutes. Toffee is a sparkling, engaging dog. Highly recommend this opportunity. Ten Stars!
