Our stay at Anita’s with Zoe went perfectly. Zoe is super sweet, and has lots of energy so we enjoyed going to the local areas like the beach, lagoon and neighbourhood on walks, and playing tug at home or with the ball on the rooftop. She gets quite excited with some dogs in the neighbourhood but in general is really good on walks and great company at home. Communication with Anita was great. And really easy. We sent updates on Zoe, and she was always quick to answer any questions we had. There’s not much in the area besides a local store so we took food with us and cooked at home which went well, the home is well equipped. Overall a good stay!
We absolutely loved this house sit! My boyfriend and I fell in love with Moose - she’s the sweetest, most affectionate dog ever and looking after her was a true joy. There’s a large park/forest nearby where we walked Moose every day - and we enjoyed our walks as much as she did ☺️ Clara and Eoin are both lovely and made us feel at home straightaway. Oh, and their TV is huuuge! Would definitely recommend.
We really enjoyed spending time with and looking after Boodah and Jake at Emmanuelle‘s comfortable house in the quiet suburb of Binningen. Jake is very affectionate from the start, Boodah took a little longer to warm up. We went for many hikes in the Basel countryside, it is also an easy walk into the city but the lovely gardens are a delight to spend time in. It is a very friendly neighborhood. Communication with Emmanuelle was super easy and immediate. She is simply great! Should this sit ever come up, don‘ hesitate. Highly recommended.
House sits don't get any better than this, folks! At the risk of inviting competition for future opportunities to sit for Jen and Jessica, we must share how enjoyable it was to spend time with Carter and Blue - two of the best behaved four-legged kids we've ever had the pleasure of watching! First of all, Jen and Jessica are absolutely wonderful, friendly, and down-to-earth people. Their instructions were clear, and they left a very detailed list of instructions and advice - even including recommendations for local eateries! Aside from their well-organized directions, and the great home tour we received upon arrival, these kind and gracious women also treated us to some local beer, wine and food. They've got hosting down to a fine art. Their home is also very comfortable and cozy, with everything you'll need to enjoy your time there. In fact, much better outfitted than many of the Airbnbs we've stay at! It's in a great neighbourhood, surrounded by friendly neighbours - a place in Toronto where people still smile and greet you as you pass on the street. Nearby Queen Street East has all the amenities you'd ever need - from a mixture of international cuisine to pubs and lively bars, to butcher shops, bakeries, ice cream parlors, and plenty of cute cafes. Parks are plentiful, including the one directly across the street from the house - which is always busy with activity - dog walkers, children's sports, picnickers, tennis players and sun worshippers! (It felt as though we had passed through a time warp.... to a time before cell phones ruled the planet!) But we saved the best for last. Carter will win your heart almost immediately. She's a beautiful dog with an even more endearing personality. Despite her husky size, she's well-behaved, mellow (most of the time, that is!), and an absolute pleasure to spend time with. She's easy to walk and loves to have fun at the dog park... despite her weird preoccupation with digging small holes to stick her head into. Blue is one of the most independent and self-sufficient cats we've ever watched. As an outdoor cat, she's just as comfortable jumping through gardens and prancing down the sidewalks as she is curled up on her favourite chair inside the house. You'd be hard-pressed to find animals easier to sit than these two! Jen and Jessica were quick to respond when we reached out to them with photos of their happy pets or any other queries. Their love of Carter and Blue is readily apparent - and also easy to understand, as we fell in love with them as well. We were so glad to have had this opportunity to meet this wonderful couple and spend time with their two incredibly fun and personable animals. We really hope we'll see them again.
Seth was very welcoming and clear about the needs of Riley and taking care of the house. Being an elder dog, Riley slept most of the time, but when awake he enjoyed being pet and walked around this most beautiful neighborhood. It helped to know that Riley is not that comfortable around other dogs, and the treats distraction worked well. All in all, an easy sit with precious Riley, and we thank you, Seth, for this opportunity.
I spent a few lovely days with Walter. He is easy to look after, will let you know when he wants out or in, when he wants to play with you or get a scratch or two. And he enjoys to be brushed, striking funny poses in the process :) Sian has ensured a detailed guide about him and her place. She has a wonderful home in a residential area with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I would gladly recommend this sit!

My dog is an active husky and slightly timid/anxious without me around. After a recent escape adventure from a friends house, I was really nervous to board him anywhere but had to leave someone suddenly for a family emergency. I was so lucky that Gina had space, as Dogwoods Resort was the only place I was really willing to consider. Gina is so good with the dogs, and the property is absolutely perfect, with large fenced areas for them to run around. Being a helicopter mom, I went in for a meet and greet before our reservation and after seeing the place and meeting Gina, any concerns I may have had were put at ease knowing that my dog would be safe, have lots of room to play, and could be social with other dogs. He came home dirty, tired and happy and that is exactly what I wanted for my pup. I know it can be hard to get a booking, but I understand why - I wouldn’t want to leave my dog anywhere else. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I have been taking my dogs to Dog Woods for at least 10 years. I wouldn't take them anywhere else. The property is beautiful and I know Grizzly is being well cared for and having fun all day with the other dogs. When he comes home he sleeps for hours. It is not your typical daycare. Gina does a really fantastic job. Communication is excellent and it's easy to book a reservation. Grizzly loves Dog Woods. He will be back often.
Our fur babies love going to Auntie Gina's! They will vocally express their excitement and wag their tails once we turn onto the road leading to Dog Woods. We miss them while we are away, but know they are extremely well taken care of and most of all loved. Jeff and Dalaina

Our pups have stayed with Dog Woods several times over a couple of years. We have a rescue that is overly cautious of new people, but is excited every time we pull up to the Resort. Moose, Pua, and their humans 100% recommend.

Dogwoods also makes accommodations for dogs with special needs and senior dogs who need a little more attention. Our boy Vinz just had his first stay with Stacey and Steven. They were amazing! So patient with our boy since he is still a pup! They sent pictures while we were away and let us know how he was doing throughout his stay. This gave me great peace of mind since it was our first time leaving him. You can see how passionate they both are about animals and love knowing how happy Vinz was. We will definitely be using Pawsome pets again!!

They took great care of my dog, I loved getting pictures, videos and updates daily. My dog came home so happy, clean and well cared for ! The property is well fenced and kept my dog in , she was able to run and explore all she wanted. I am so grateful for Pawsome Pet Services. They have cared for my 3, and now 2 (RIP Miss Roxy), fur babies since 2018. One of my pooches is blind and the other is deaf. Our miniature poodle stayed at Pawsome Pet Services while we went on vacation. I received daily text updates and pictures which was great. Buddy got along great with the other dogs it was nice knowing that he was well cared for while we were away. Pawsome Pets is awesome! Like many of us, my dogs are my babies and when they’re at Pawsome Pets, they’re treated like a member of their family! They have full run of the house and yard. I get daily pictures of them playing with other pups or snuggling in the owner’s lap etc. Pawsome Pets allows me to go on vacation without worrying about my babies at all. They think they’re on vacation!!

My dog loves to go to auburn kennels. When I pick her up she always heads back to the door to go back in. She doesn’t want to leave. That makes me feel so good knowing she loves it. The staff is friendly, professional and they love dogs and cats. The kennel is in a beautiful area of auburn, hilly with lots of trees. I wouldn’t leave my pets anywhere else. I would chsnge my plans so my dog could stay there.

We have been boarding our 2 pointers at Auburn Kennels for 5-7 days at a time over the last several years and have never had a bad experience. The owners are incredibly responsible and easy to get ahold of. Our latest need involved a family emergency on Christmas day. They were willing to arrange a special drop off and accommodated our dogs with only a same day notice in an effort to help us out. So thankful for a place like this that we can rely on without worry.

We have been boarding our dog Boomer (my 4th child) with Auburn Kennels since he was about 8 months old and I can honestly say that when he is boarded there, with the amazing, caring staff and other dogs I do not worry about his welfare for one moment! The space is large, they have pools in warmer weather for the dogs to play in, the runs and kennel area are clean and big enough for our 100 lb pup to romp and sleep comfortably. Boomer is excited to go and visit everyone and he is excited to come home and sleep for a day or so after his play date! We highly recommend Auburn Kennels, amazing people and all of the dogs that Boomer plays with are wonderful with him.

My pups, Alfonso and Oillie love staying at the Best Friends Pet Hotel! They are so quiet on the way home. Exhausted from fun! They love the staff. My big boy Bengal, Dezi had a great time here. The facility was very nice and clean too. He got his own two room suite! The staff made him feel safe and loved and he wasn’t stressed when I picked him up. This was his first time away from home and I wasn’t sure how it would go. He will be coming back to visit again.
I have used Best Friends since 2002. All of my dogs have done great and I had a dog with some “issues” and she was handled well. There were never any problems after their visit at the “spa” as we referred to it. My two small dogs just returned from their spa visit and Max was on medication and he did great and our Gracie was happy too. Highly recommend!! 🐾🐾

We brought our Golden, Lola, here for the first time for a full grooming experience. She is terrified of loud noises--the girl who met us at check-in was extremely gentle with our dog, calming, and got her to settle down. We knew immediately that Lola was in good hands. They brought Lola out looking better than she ever has at any other grooming appointment--complete with a fresh bandana and bow. We loved our experience here!
First time with Best Friends over the Christmas holiday. She was pretty excited to go with the staff and seemed great when we picked up. We had a long delay on our return train ride and the staff was very understanding. I felt very comfortable with her accommodations and would definitely use them again next time we travel.

Rose has been our go-to pet sitter for three years now. We have two large male house cats. Rose provides peace of mind while we are gone, in part because she posts us by text early each morning with a short report on that morning's visit and how the cats are. She also makes written notes on each visit and leaves them for us. She is careful and conscientious and very easy to work with. We have never had a problem with her service and recommend Always Available whole- heartedly.
Rose watched my two boxers for me. It was somewhat nerve wracking having a non family member watch my girls. But Rose is very professional and thorough. During the meet and greet my dogs seemed to settle fairly well with her presence too. She texts a picture and update every day. Would definitely use her again!

I recently had Rose watch my eight dogs (two large dogs and six small dogs) and my two cats. I was gone overnight and my pets are not used to this. However I am pleased to say that my pets have taken kindly to Rose and they were well taken care of when I was gone. Rose sent text pictures with each of her visits. Unfortunately she had to clean up after one of my dogs but the place was immaculate when I got home. I highly recommend rose for pet sitting and I plan on using her in the future.
We highly recommend Rose, Always Available Pet Sitting. Right from the beginning Rose was organized and business-like, taking note of the names of each pet, the amount of food, times of day to be fed, locations for food, treats, etc. Rose cared for our 4 dogs and cat for 9 days while we went on vacation. She did not hesitate to come an extra day when our flight was canceled last minute. Rose did a lot more than just feed our fur babies. She spent time playing with them as well as watching their behavior to make sure they got along and played together safely. (We have 3 large dogs and a small beagle.) She even called us to make sure we were comfortable with what she saw. She left notes from each day and also texted us notes and photos. It’s clear Rose loves animals and has experience with animal behavior. We felt so much more at ease on our vacation knowing Rose was watching our pets. We will be using Rose’s services again.

Our family hired Amanda to watch our two dachshunds and two rabbits. She is kind, completely understands animal behaviors, and is very punctual. She scheduled a “meet and greet” for our furbabies and set up convenient sitting times. Amanda is trustworthy, professional and friendly to our children and pets. She provided us with a detailed contract that outlined everything for the sitting. We will definitely be hiring her again!
Amanda is amazing, I'm so thankful I found her! I have 3 dog.....the Border Collie can be a little anxious around new people but within a few minutes they were great friends. And my 2 little Chihuahua's love her too! She' very dependable and trustworthy and that is important to me.
We just got back from a trip and even though it was a short trip Amanda was amazing. She communicated each day. My house was left clean and my animals were happy and well taken care of. Absolutely amazing place for your pup to get some zoomies out! I took my dog here years ago & now with our new pup we needed a place to take her while we are either working or just wanted her to make & play with new fur friends. The staff is awesome & super friendly. The place the dogs with like minded pups as to keep the energy levels even. You can drop off for short periods of time or all day if needed which is nice. After Gizmo's first two days there she was so tired she fell asleep immediately in the car haha My little tasmanian devil was beat! She was so happy an excited. So happy she has some new fur friends to play with there. Definitely recommend
They took good care of our 16 yr old poodle mix. We think they gave her a lot of attention and she loved it! They soiled her!! We will board her with them next time.

My dog absolutely loves the day care. The first couple of visits she was iffy walking in but now she flies out of the car and is so excited to see her doggy and human friends. I don't worry about her at all while she's there.
There's an employee named Max that might look like an Alaskan Bushman somedays. But he's one of those people all dogs like they can tell who's good and who's evil. Plus he's my best friend so I know he's good. Anyway good place if you need dog baby sitter

Not recommend unless it’s your very last choice. For daycare: they use big area pens for bigger/smaller dogs which are good but the smell was HORRIBLE. Human can’t stand a second of that smell not to mention your pups. For boarding: the iron small cages they use it’s literally the same as PRISON. They claimed to put quiet dogs and louder dogs in two areas but the fact is the quiet areas are all crazily barking dogs (small&big). The iron cage is very small, and there’s no window, no air, no natural light, and also smell so bad. They are so short of staff. Two people in charge of ~10 daycare dogs, plus ~50 boarding dogs. If you can accept that, then you can choose their cheap price. If not, don’t go.
We boarded our dog here for 2 days/1 night while whitewater rafting in the area. We felt very misled. Our rescue pup is half pit bull and half other things. We had a long conversation with a worker guy here about her play style and told him her breed when we made the reservation. I also sent in the paperwork and her medical records in advance. We were assured that she would get to play with other dogs. We reiterated her play style when we dropped her off and were assured that all was good and the dogs' play was supervised. Then when we picked her up a different older woman told us that our dog didn't even get to play with other dogs at all b/c she was half partially pit bull. Apparently, she only got one-on-one time with humans but never got to play with anyone. If this is the place's policy, they should have told us that when we made the booking or dropped her off and continued to talk to them about play time. Not led us to believe she was getting play time or at least a chance to take a temperament test and see if she got along with the others in boarding. Yet another example of unfounded pit bull discrimination in California. It's fine if that's he facility's policy..that's their choice. But I just wished they would have told us and not made it a surprise at pick up. If we knew this policy, we would have looked for another boarding facility b/c our pup deserves at least a chance to play. A generous 3 stars only since it seems that she was fed properly and returned to us with no injuries and the price is good for the area .
When another local pet resort was shut down with less than two weeks notice I was really in a bind for a last minute kennel for my 3 dogs. Happy Tails and their wonderful owner Tamara to the rescue. She accommodated us in their lovely facility. We received regular updates and my dogs felt comfortable from the moment we walked in. I highly recommend them.
Happy tails has taken care of our dogs many times over the past 6 years, both at our house and boarding at Tamara’s. The care and attention to detail is always there and our dogs tell us this too as they love everyone at Happy Tails!
