I must begin my review with the home itself. Angela and Peter have designed/ developed a most beautiful home here. It is truly wonderful. No sitter/s could want for more. As to the ‘charges’ 2 adorable cats, Bluey and Teddy… as we all know, caring for cats is less ‘demanding’ as per dogs and many other pets. Well the same here in this sit. Teddy is very much just doing his own thing. Bluey on the other hand, once he gets to know you, he will often come over for cuddles. Both cats are very independent. No litter tray, they leave through the cat flap to do what’s needed. Angela, the host, is very clear with what she wants and expects, communication is excellent. Her housekeeper Rachel is charming and knows everything about this large home. All in all, this is a definite 5 star sit. Thoroughly recommend.
We LOVED staying with Bowie! He is so sweet and funny, and loves a good walk! He greets you by somehow jumping 3 feet straight in the area! You can't help but smile when you walk in the door :) The house is awesome - great location. Water views on every Bowie walk, plus it has a pool :) Sarah and Sean were amazing hosts, giving us recommendations, checking to make sure we didn't have any questions and were having fun! All around wonderful - we miss it already!
Sharon and Will's house is very comfortable and well appointed, had everything we needed and was an excelent place for our visit. The setting is totally rural, and being at the edge of the New Forrest makes for wondeful, peaceful days (as long as the idea is to be away from the city), and of course excellent walks with the dogs. The dogs are also wonderful, being friends rather than a chore, lovable rather than demanding, and crazily energetic on their free runs in the Forrest which make for fun and interesting times out. Sharon and Will made us feel very welcome and shared enough time with us for us to be able to say that we have new friends in this world - they even returned from their holiday with a small gift for us! Thank you both for a wonderful stay!
Nevis is a handsome boy with a lovely, gentle nature and so easy to care for. He was wary at the start but soon accepted us, allowing us to pet him and brush his coat. He loves being outside in his garden, watching the birds and chasing flies! Enjoys his food - especially his treats! We were very comfortable in Solene & Andy's lovely, modern home with a very attractive garden. A great location with town centre nearby. A thoroughly enjoyable housesit over Easter!
Absolutely loved my stay at Alice and Toby’s! Forrest and Rupert are the sweetest, most affectionate two dogs that you fall for as soon as you meet them. There are now officially more photos on my phone of them then there are of myself. They will keep you company in the home office or on the couch, are so placid and a dream to look after. I already miss my routine with these two guys! Alice and Toby were incredibly accommodating and made me feel so comfortable, and their house is immaculate and in a cool spot with plenty of local walks! Couldn’t recommend these guys enough.
Rebecca & Ollie are incredibly inviting and welcoming people, provided everything (plus more) needed for our stay with Lucy & Charlie. Both Lucy & Charlie are fantastic friends and provided many giggles with their awesome yet contrasting personalities! Really great time at the Chiltern's and hope to head back there again in the future!
