What a lovely sit! Kate and her family were just delightful and so welcoming/hospitable. The pets were a dream to look after; all super affectionate, well trained and easy to walk. Lots of lovely parks close by for ease of walking the dogs. Sherlock the Great Dane huge and adorable, a gentle giant and Lola and Wilf also adore cuddles on the couch with you any time. Cats Ginger and Sherry super affectionate characters too. Would highly recommend this sit and hope to return!
We truly enjoyed staying at Brittany's apartment in Philadelphia and caring for lovable Nola! Brittany was a very welcoming and gracious host. She provided us with very clear instructions on how to care for Nola, her favorite walks and activities, as well as lots of recommendations on local restaurants and places to go. Brittany's apartment is centrally located, and walking distance to many museums, restaurants, downtown, the Old City and Schuylkill River. Her place is super clean and comfortable, and has an amazing view overlooking the city. Most of all, we found Nola to be so well-behaved and easy going! She has a very simple routine and is just happy to go with the flow. Nola is pretty much up for anything from taking afternoon naps, to going for long walks or runs, or just chilling with us on the patio of a nearby restaurant. We enjoyed giving Nola lots of belly rubs, but her favorite activity of all was playing catch at the ball park where she could just run and run to her heart's content. Nola was such a pleasure to care for and we would highly recommend this sit!
Lulu's home is a beautiful, comfortable house in Llandaff, a " Village " within the city of Cardiff, where we found some good walks and super dog friendly cafes. We had met Lulu on a previous visit to Cardiff, when she had kindly spent some time telling us all about Flossy and Daisy and their routines, so we were content to arrive on the morning just before the family were leaving for their holiday. Even though they were busy, Lulu and her husband took time out to explain a few more things regarding our stay. Lulu also provided a very comprehensive Welcome Guide. In addition the occasional presence of Ellie, Lulu's assistant, was very helpful as she had a store of useful local knowledge. We appreciated the efforts Lulu made to ensure our stay was enjoyable including letting us use the heated swimming pool in the garden (accompanied by Flossy!). Lulu's hospitality was wonderful and we were able to keep in touch with her throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Both Flossy and Daisy have a lovely nature, they're friendly and very energetic and were an absolute joy to look after. We were really sad to say " au revoir" I would not hesitate to highly recommend Lulu and her lovely home, plus Daisy & Flossie to any future Housesitters .
