Dog Sitters in Gilberts Corner, VA

Aside from the pets being well taken care of, and the house being perfectly spotless when we came home, Alice and Kirk were flexible and highly communicative. They even rolled with the punches when after boarding our flight that morning and before they arrived, our dog decided to break out of the back fence for the first time in years and ran to a neighbor! Not the way we wanted their stay to start, but they handled it extremely well. They were kind enough to let us know about a broken doorhandle on the of the bedrooms we never use so that we can get that fixed for the next time someone stays. We would most definitely welcome them back again.

Devin stayed with Roma over the July 4th holiday and I was glad to have him there in case the fireworks got too loud for her. His communication was fine. He sent some lovely photos of Roma which made me smile. I think he and Roma did fine together. Thanks Devin!

Bradley and Deb were fantastic! They were very reliable and clean, and Rosie was a happy kitty with them. They made sure to give her her pills on time and played with her, gave her attention, etc. Fantastic housesitters!

Maude was thoughtful and responsive through our entire experience with her, and she did a wonderful job caring for our dog Cooper. We would be happy to have her sit for Cooper again! When he got sick (no fault of hers) she took him to the vet and made sure he got his medication. It was stressful knowing he was sick, but reassuring to know he was being well cared for. Maude was also very helpful when our flight was delayed. Our house was in perfect order when we arrived home and she even left us delicious homemade bread and soup. I highly recommend Maude!

Nell was a great house-sitter. She was responsive and reliable and was easy to communicate with. Our pets were safe and sound and doing well when we got back. The house was clean and well-taken care of. I would recommend her highly to anyone who needs a sitter!

Valerie and David were the perfect people to help look after our golden retriever Lady. They were extremely kind, thoughtful, responsible, sensitive and aware. We found the best dogsitters in the world. They sent us photos of Lady, they took her for 2 if not 3 walks every day, gave her tons of cuddles and love and affection. They worked next to her in the day time, and tucked her in at nighttime. On our return, they had cleaned the house from top to bottom, bought us fresh fruit for the house and extra baking bits, a beautiful wooden family tree sculpture which they had decorated with calligraphy, baked us warm fresh cookies and written a beautiful card. I could have honestly cried with happiness. We cannot recommend them enough and give them 100 / 10!

Magda was organized, quick to reply to messages, and accommodating with plans. She arrived early so that we could spend time providing details of the sit and so that our dog Myers could see us with her. She was very self-sufficient during the stay and left the house neat and tidy. I'd recommend Magda and would use her to sit Myers again.

Angela and Denisse really saved us. We thought we had a housesitter and then received an email from the site saying that there was a problem with our original choice -- two days before we were supposed to go on vacation. We reposted, and happily Angela saw our listing, and we quickly set up a meeting with her and decided to take a chance with her and Denisse. It was a perfect match. We have three rescue animals, a dog and two cats. One of our cats is so fearful, he usually hides in the garage for most if not all of our trips. On day two, he made an appearance with them. We got lots of photos of happy, unstressed animals, which for us is the main reason why we want someone to house sit. She reached out regularly with updates, which was very much appreciated. Nothing was broken, which can happen with normal wear and tear, and also unprecedented. Everything was neat and orderly when we returned, and Angela even reached out when she hadn't heard from us because of traffic delaying us on our way home. I can't recommend them enough for being caring to our animals and considerate of our house. This was such a rushed reservation, but after meeting Angela I had a very good feeling and the photos confirmed they were kind to our animals and respectful. They were truly delightful to have stay, and I would highly recommend them both as housesitters.

Joseph and Yana are a great couple. They were attentive to the pets and our home giving us daily updates and photos. We came home to a pristine house and happy pets. I would highly recommend them for your pet sitting needs.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Annette and her daughter Claire were great! They clearly enjoyed the cats, were tidy and careful, and they rolled with the punches when I showed up home earlier than they'd expected (my fault, I usually text to let people know my ETA but I was in an area with bad connection and didn't notice the message had failed to send) they just dealt with it cheerfully. I'd be very happy to have them back any time they're in the area!
