Kiri looked after our cats for a week. She sent us updates and pictures. When we returned, the house was spotless and she had washed towels and sheets for us. The cats seemed very happy and well looked after. We would definitely have her cat sit again.
Marthe was from the start a lovely host. Actually came to pick me up at the station so I could get some shopping in. ( Found out the next day there is quite a hill to walk up to her appartement 😃this must be quite a challenge in the winter). She has a beautiful appartment with all you need. You even have a lovely little terras, great for breakfast in the sun (when its shining, don’t forget it’s Norway). Lily is a very friendly calico lady who will chat to you when you talk to her. She loves having attention and being stroked. She certainly loves her feather on a string toys and chasing these through the house. When you run around with it but she also very good at sitting and watching you 🤣 She’s not very keen on her wet food which Olivia always tries to steal but she does enjoy her kibble so keeping that topped up was easy. She’s a very calm laidback kitty who mostly loves to lie on the desk and watched the world & people go by and enjoy the warmth of the sun and in the evening she’d love it if you put a nature programme on the tv. ( Life in colour & especially Dancing birds from David Attenborough ) Olivia is the lady with a huge Wanderlust and don’t be surprised when she comes home just to eat & sleep 😃 Took her a few days to relax and start to really enjoy the strokes and tickles I was allowed to give her when she was getting ready to sleep. She is such a sweetie and very pretty when you get to see her up close, but needs more time so I just let her do her thing and made sure she had food waiting for her all the time especially when I was out myself (Lily does not eat her food). Olivia only brought me one little “present” so you have to be ok with that as she does live surrounded by greenery and nature. Really enjoyed my down time at Marthe’s, the communication was very good and I hope she enjoyed all the foto’s I sent. Loved the cats and their differences and would love to maybe get back someday and would certainly recommend these two lovely kitties (and Marthe 😃)
We spent a lovely two weeks with Oban in Solihull. We took advantage of all the hiking opportunities nearby and Oban was well behaved in the car, the countryside and the pub! Karen and Dave were friendly and easy to reach whenever we needed them.
We had a lovely time looking after Neko this Christmas! Carolina and James were great hosts, cooking us dinner on the first night and showing us around their home. It was good to get to know them a little before the sit started and we maintained communication for the rest of the week. Neko is such a sweet girl! Slightly shy at first but she came out of her shell and we loved spending time with her. Super easy to look after and very loveable! Carolina and James have a beautiful flat in a perfect location to explore Copenhagen. Thank you both for a fantastic experience!
Aris is a very sweet and affectionate cat. Efi the host was very responsive and helpful when I had questions. The location is on the West side of Berlin, a little away from the hustle and bustle but conveniently located next to the Uban ( metro). The canal is fairly close and it was nice to walk by. I would stay here again.
It was an absolute pleasure to look after Lisa and Adam's pets and beautiful home. This delightful family gave me a warm welcome and invited me to join them for dinner the night before they left, so I was safely ensconsed and could see Lisa's routine with the animals first hand. Puss is gorgeous, a very young 20, and although initially nervous he soon relaxed and became affectionate. He was very low maintenance as he sleeps most of the time and has a cat flap so there was no litter tray and he could let himself in and out. I totally fell in love with the 6 chickens, I had no idea how interesting and full of personality they would be! Added to which they provided fresh organic eggs each day! They followed me around like puppies, rushing towards me whenever I came out of the house - always keen to be where the action was. I loved the gentle cooing noises they made when I locked their coop up at dusk. The uninterrupted countryside views at the property are sensational, and I really enjoyed the silence which was broken only by birdsong or the occasional clopping of hooves. There is a large pond you can swim in but the temperatures were sub zero while I was there. The historical town of Sherborne, which has a Waitrose and a Sainsbury's is only 5 minutes drive away. I left feeling totally relaxed as though I had been on holiday myself. I can't recommend this housesit highly enough and would jump at the chance to return.
Rockie and Boo are very affectionate and love nothing better than a good snuggle on the sofa. Boo is a bouncy puppy who will follow you around everywhere and try to steal your socks. 😆 Zöe welcomed us into her home which is a large family home filled with love. The grounds are beautiful and huge. Thank you Zöe and family for being such kind hosts.
