Where do I begin to tell the story of how great my first experience on TrustedHousesitters has been.. The sweet friendship that started with this journey. It is now that I understand why all the other housesitting jobs were not meant to happen. The universe had better plans for me. I don’t believe in coincidences and I am grateful to have crossed paths with this amazing, thoughtful, intelligent and caring human being called Loretta. She made sure I had everything I needed (or not) and constantly checked to see if she could be of further help with anything at all. (Which I didn’t because she had already provided me with everything you could possibly think of). Then comes purrrrrrrfect ENCA. Not only I loved this furry lady, my camera fell in love with her too. I had to purchase extra gigabytes for all the photos and videos I captured of this photogenic and elegant beauty. We got along like chips & guacamole. She was shy the first day, but by the 3rd day, she earned my trust based on the amount of love and care I gave her and we were inseparable. Last but not least, the “Casa”. After a month +, everyone was asking me if I was “homesick”? Not at all. Loretta’s home is so welcoming, loving, beautiful, and comfortable that I was actually sad to leave. During the day, I worked remotely in a sunny and breezy room and at nights, I enjoyed the fresh air at the patio with the breathtaking view of La Parroquia, Church of the Immaculate Conception, the colorful houses and the blue sky. To top it off, the location was ideal. Just perfect. Walking distance to anywhere and everywhere. Thank you Loretta for giving me this spectacular experience in your welcoming home, taking care of your Purrrrrrfect ENCA in one of the most charming cities in Mexico, San Miguel de Allende. Los Quiero Mucho.
This was our 1st house sit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was an absolute pleasure to mind Wilson. What a loveable dog he is - all he wanted was to play, be rubbed and walks. Stephen's house was very comfortable and there is a beautiful woods right beside his house for walks and a choice of beaches 10-15min drive. We brought our own dog with us and Wilson and she got on great and were lovely company for each other. Stephen is an absolute gentleman and we thoroughly enjoyed his company on the 1st and last day of our visit. We would highly recommend Stephen and Wilson for a house sit and would go back to them in a heartbeat.
We had a lovely relaxing two weeks caring for Mimi & Toto, two beautiful and friendly cats. The house is cosy and in a great location overlooking the wetlands, and only a short walk from the lovely market town of Pershore. Chris and Alan were perfect hosts and made sure that we had all the information that we needed prior to starting the sit. Thank you for a lovely stay, we would definitely return.
We stayed at Jan's for a little over 2 weeks and it was an amazing trip. Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet each other, but Jan left such great instructions and was easy to get ahold of for any questions we had. She left us an amazing welcome basket. The house is absolutely beautiful and such a nice place to stay. The area is great and central enough to anything you may need. Jan's squad of kitties were so fun to sit for. Some are cuddly- some are timid, but they all have their own personalities and we had a great time getting to know them. I can't say enough nice things about Jan. She made the visit so easy and fun
Bruce and I cannot thank Ellie and her partner enough for this lovely stay! Ellie showed us around and made sure all our questions were answered (whilst also making us laugh!) and the house is absolutely beautiful, it looks like an interior designer’s dream. Great location and close to areas of note such as Victoria Park and Chatsworth Road. The bed was very comfortable and the place had everything we need - they even left us cute bakery slices! For Alfie and Cleo, we couldn’t have been happier with them! Both of the cats are chatty and it’s very sweet to hear their meowing about the house. Cleo and Alfie are very curious and good natured, also very calm. Cleo will be more than happy to curl up on your chest when you’re sleeping and Alfie will come and check on you a few times. No behaviour issues or negative fussiness. This is the first time I’ve met cats with such big personalities, it felt like dog sitting!
