We had a wonderful time in Victoria with Isis and Banner. It's a quiet neighbourhood with a lovely park nearby, and various shops. Both dogs are super sweet and are great on walks!
Paula gave me a very warm welcome. I arrived sick and she was very caring upon arrival, and very patient, responsive and helpful when I had to ask a few things again a few days later because I forgot :) She is a very kind person. The flat has everything you can ask for to have a comfortable stay. And the location is fantastic, too. Being from Berlin, I did not want to sightsee and mostly stayed in, working from home. Internet was fast and I usually sat right at the bright window overlooking the hustle on the street whilst having the big boss Jack right at my side or on my lap. He is extremely cute, vital and cuddly. I still cannot believe his age! Whenever I was home, he was with me... next to me, on my lap, on my chest, climbing my shoulders or trying to squeeze himself between my computer and me when I was watching YouTube videos on the couch.. haha.. I loved having him around! If you cannot get enough of cat company, you will find yourself in absolute heaven! I honestly stayed in a few evenings because I enjoyed the cuddles way too much and felt that dinner with friends could wait a few days :D Nevertheless, Jack does also accept quiet time in his room or under the bed sheets when you decide to close the doors to eat peacefully or to assure no interruptions during important online meetings. And he will greet you happily as always when you come home from your own adventures. All in all, this was an absolute treat and I will keep an eye out for suitable dates for sure to spend more time with captian Jack!
I enjoyed my stay with Digby. He was very attentive and followed me everywhere throughout the house. We both enjoyed the walks in Clifton downs and the surrounding neighborhood. Digby loves to wrestle and play tug of war but not much of a retriever. The central location of the house was ideal for walking to restaurants, bars, and shopping. It is a great area to get away, enjoy the fresh air, and green space. Easy sit.
It was great staying in Lucinges with Monty, Lixie, and Frambroise. Penni and Rob were very communicative before our arrival. The house was very comfortable and the town was a nice quiet getaway in the French countryside. We’d be happy to house sit for Penni and Rob again in the future.
I had a great stay with Baxter! Michelle was a wonderful host. She invited me to come the night before her departure so that she could orient me to her apartment and to Baxter's routines, and we had a lovely dinner and drinks on her beautiful sundeck. Bax was a total love and very easy to spend time with at the apartment. Outside of the condo, it was challenging for me (I have a bad shoulder) that he is still a puppy in a big dog's body and had a habit of lunging on his lead when he encountered other people and dogs. When other dogs and people are not around he is easy to walk and very good at obeying, especially when treats are offered. I think it's important that his sitters need to know they will need some physical strength when managing him on walks. Overall it was a great sit and I would sit for Michelle in her beautiful condo and hang out with sweet Baxter again!
Sarah has a great place, and an adorable fur baby! So many wonderful trails to walk on and a beautiful little community. Just down the road. Would stay here again anytime.
