I didn’t get to meet Madison and Jeremy in person, but we FaceTimed prior to their arrival and they seem very nice. They arrived at my house early in the morning, as I had to leave at 4am, and sent a photo of my dog in the backyard to let me know they arrived and had taken him outside. The house was exactly the way I left it and they kindly sent a check-in photo as well while I was away. They were flexible and responsive and I would happily have them in my home again.
This was hands down my best sit ever. I absolutely loved everything about being at Ray and Julia’s lovely home. Daisy and Nachita were just so awesome. They, Daisy and Nachita, were very clear on their daily plan and my responsibilities as it related to them. They made me smile every day. Though they are not cuddly dogs, they are each so loveable in their own ways. I do have to say that Nachita stole my heart with her soulful eyes, but nothing could beat the greeting that Daisy would give me when I came home from just running to the grocery store. I took many pictures of both of the dogs and the lovely views during my stay. Ray and Julia were the perfect hosts. I enjoyed dinner with them the first night and they provided so much information to make my stay with the dogs easy. The dogs walked well on leash but clearly were in their element running freely on the beach. They both had good recall. Daisy a bit on her own time. There is so much to see and do on Whidbey Island and I loved that Ray and Julia provided so much information for things I could do with the dogs as well as outings I could do solo. The home was warm and cozy. I feel very lucky they chose me and I would love to go back and sit for them again. I am home with my dog but missing Daisy and Nachita.
We spent nearly seven weeks looking after the most adoral Mr. Machu! Oh my, what a great little guy he is. Not only as cute as a button but a personality to go with his cuteness. He is thirteen years old but most of the time does not act it at all. His little stubborn streak provided us with endless laughter. We’d be walking and he’d just decide he didn’t want to walk anymore, thank you very much. With the right amount of coaxing and encouraging, away we’d go again and at a trot if you don’t mind. Machu gets insulin shots both morning and night and is a trooper about them. He knows it’s treat time right after the shot, too! So much fun and such a loveable little guy. So, not only did we get to enjoy and love Mr. Machu, we got to spend time at the beach in Kailua, tour the State Capital building and both Iolani Palace and Queen Emma’s Summer Palace. Sam and Beverley opened their lovely home to us and let us use the car for our entire stay. Looking after Mr Machu was 100% pleasurable and would be no matter where he lived - but to do it in Hawaii was certainly the icing on the cake. Thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity!
Staying at Ingo's lovely home was a real treat. He was generous, understanding, and easy to communicate and organise with. Olive was a delight to look after. She's well-mannered, clean, gentle and quiet, as well as being fluffy and adorable. She was a bit timid at first, but soon warmed up and enjoyed spending time with us. Don't hesitate to cat-sit for Ingo, you'll be glad you did!
This has been a Perfect sit ! Emily and Andy were wonderful , Emily explained everything about the pets and the house , and we felt immediately a connection with Souko . He’s such a good boy! So affectionate and well behaved . Minnie is the typical cat , very affectionate too but in a different way , she loved to spend some time with us and then liked to be alone…They are both a real pleasure to spend time with . The house is just beautiful and is Perfect for relaxing and for al fresco dining, and if you like countryside and the petit village this is the perfect sit for you
Luis was a fantastic host, with clear, thorough communication before, during and after the sit. He was welcoming and helpful (he let me borrow a phone charger when I forgot mine, for example, which really saved the day), as well as flexible about arrival and departure times. Though we did not meet in person I felt thoroughly comfortable and equipped for the sit. He was upfront about the needs of his cat, Optimus, letting me know that he has had incidents outside the litterbox, for example. (Which really wasn't an issue.) Optimus was a dear and wonderful cat to sit for, and he will stay in my heart for a long time. He is one of the most attached cats I have ever met or sat for, with lots of love to give. He followed me around in the apartment everywhere, and definitely benefits sitter who works from home or is home like 22 hours a day. I felt terrible leaving Optimus to go to yoga or Trader Joe's, which luckily was closeby. Everything about this sit was great—and Louis's apartment is a breeze to get to from Midway airport. Thanks, Louis.
Friendly, honest and informative person - great communication throughout, really caring and warm. Loved meeting Abbie's partner and kids when we arrived.
