Words can not describe the priceless experience of getting to know Sarah, Picco and Micah. From my very first call on, Sarah was the most welcoming and throughtful women which mades us feel comfortable and connected immediately. The communication with her was unncomplicated and heart warming at all times and made the caretaking extremely easy. Her two lovely souls Picco and Micah are cats that could not be more different but completed each other. Micah is a food and cuddles loving cat that has a few spots in the house from which she always welcomes attention and gives love right away. She had a sore on her face that she let me treat without any hesitation and is a very trusting cat. Piccos attention needs to be earned, he will make sure you're worthy before you gain his trust. However, once the fearless explorer of the wild approves, he demands cuddles or a talk whenever he is back from his adventures. Apart from the wonderful living spirits part of this place, the property itself is a magical place. A wide backyard, gardens, lots of trees, animals, flowers, and herbs. All of it accessible or observable from the wise and huge windows of the house. If you love the quiet and nature it is the place to be. Sarahs house is one of a kind with thoughtful interior and lots of details like paintings to get lost in. The house is a few miles from downtown Concord and the commuter rail stop so you would either need a car or should be happy to stay in the solitude of the countryside. Getting to know Sarah and taking care of much missed Picco and Micah is something I am ever thankful for and is a truly enriching experience! What a wonderful first house sit!
Homeowner Cindy is a wonderfully warm and caring person, which is reflected in her dogs Jazzy and Brody. They are two of the nicest dogs I've ever been around. They are loving, affectionate, playful, smart, funny, and well-behaved. We had a lot of fun together, especially on our daily morning beach walks on Sullivan Island. After a good walk, they were content to be back at the house while I had time to drive over to Charleston for some sightseeing. Nighttimes were cozy because at least one of them slept in bed with me. The beach-themed lovely home has a fenced in yard, so that's another play time of throwing the ball and dogs tussling with each other. My daughter and I arrived the evening before and had a great visit with Cindy. She's been rescuing and fostering dogs for many years. Again, a reflection of her passion and great love for these dogs. Cindy is very generous and even offered us a place to stay beyond our pet sit days. This is a wonderful sit and I highly recommend Cindy and her sweet-as-can-be dogs.
My stay with Nala was superb. Such an affectionate, friendly and playful kitty. Took far too many selfies with her, it was so funny seeing her watching her own reflection and getting so close to the camera. We watched many episodes together. She would sit next to me or lay down in bed and just spend time there attentively following the scenes in front of her. Such a smart baby. The communication with Melissa was extremely smooth, she's amazing and reliable. I found an extremely clean flat with everything needed for the perfect stay.
We had an awesome weekend in Guelph with Bella and the chickens. As soon was we got to Brittany's beautiful home, we fell in love with Bella- such a caring and fun personality. The house was clean and prepared for us with everything we needed. The backward was huge and it's where we spend most of our time. Brittany was kind enough to say we could help ourselves with fresh eggs and so we did. Overall lovely experience, can't recommend this house sit enough.
We had a lovely 3 weeks in Horsham with the sweet but shy Olive! Mike's communication was excellent and he kindly had us the night before, so we avoided a really early start on the first day of the sit. Olive was very sweet and mostly found a bed or chair to sleep on during the day and came out for meals. The house is perfectly located to explore the wonderful town of Horsham! It's only a 10-15 minute walk through the park into the town centre which has lots of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Once we arrived, we didn't use the car once in 3 weeks! Thank you again Mike for your hospitality!
We absolutely loved staying at Paulina's place and looking after Mimi! Paulina is a fantastic host, very thoughtful and warm. She picked us up at the airport, welcomed us into her very clean and comfortable apartment, and gave us recommendations for getting around the city. We were lucky enough to share dinner and a night with her in between her trips (which of course had been arranged in advance) and spent a wonderful time together. Clear instructions were left for looking after Mimi and the house. Communication with Paulina was fantastic at all times, so an absolute pleasure to organise things with her. Mimi is so, so cute! She's a very independent and super sweet cat, very respectful and cuddly. She enjoys human company and will happily lay by your side on the couch during the evenings; she has plenty of toys and is fun to play and interact with :) She will be happy to come to bed with you if you invite her (which we absolutely loved!) but otherwise she will gladly sleep in her bed, she's not invasive at all, just pure sweetness! The shrimp are easy to look after and quite entertaining to watch! Basel is a beautiful city, with plenty of things to do, and the apartment is in a great location just a block from the tram that will take you to the city centre in 10 minutes. In all, we wouldn't think twice if we had the chance to sit for Paulina again, and would highly recommend her and her pets to other house sitters!
