Lisa was an awesome pet and house sitter!! She took excellent care of our two very high maintenance and spoiled dogs! We came home to a clean house with the bed sheets washed and put back on and she even folded the towels I had left in the dryer! After an exhausting quick weekend away she made sure we came home to very little to do including walking the pups one more time and watering all the flowers! She's a keeper!!!
Karla and Andres were truly amazing! Their adorable Pom, Bali and our kitty became pals while here and the house was immaculate on our return. It's an easy yes if they ever wanted to house/pet sit for us again down the road!
Housesitting with Freya was a magical experience. Freya is such a lovely girl and, once she warms up to you, is an incredible companion. She's was very happy quietly keeping me company around in the house and having her runs out in the garden. She loves her toys and we had loads of fun playing chasing games and tug of war, and her care routine is very easy. She's an absolute sweetheart and a fantastic dog. The fish were also simple to look after too, as they just needed feeding once a day. Caroline and Francis left very clear instructions in the Welcome Guide, and also showed me everything I needed to do in person. They were also incredibly kind and bought me food for the housesit. The house is really well located with an easy bus service, shops a 15 min walk away, and an amazing wooded trail just behind the house that leads to Rock Creek Park. The house itself is beautiful; there's all the space you could want, and a huge garden that Freya loves pottering around in, and the swimming pool is fantastic, especially with the sunmer heat. Swimming at dusk as the sun is setting and it turns to night is an unforgettable experience. The house and pool maintenance is easy, though I made a mistake with the pool (left the hose running) and Caroline and Francis were very gracious about it. They were also on hand to guide me through fixing it and there were a few other things I needed help with that they were very attentive about. I also enjoyed getting updates on their holiday! An all round fantastic time. I'd definitely recommend this situation!
We had a great time taking care of all the animals. Kathleen and Greg were great hosts. Excellent hiking in the Indian Valley Reserve. Thank you for letting us care for all your fur and scale babies.
We are newbies to house/dog sitting and we truly landed on our feet with the lovely Star and the stylish home of Jackie and Richard. Our three hosts were so generous with their welcome and with their hospitality. Pre-sit communication was clear and precise and we were confident that we were in good hands. Jackie and Richard’s home is beautiful, located in a quiet village and surrounded by beautiful countryside and walks. We were treated like family and felt very much at home. Star is a lovely dog, very friendly and a delight to walk around the local footpaths. The local community pub has new tenants, Moji and Fari, but they were equally engaging and we had a pleasant meal there one evening. A very big thank you to Star, Jackie and Richard for their warm welcome, warm hospitality and generous hosting. We will happily sit for them again. Sandy & Gordon xx
Staying in Anne’s home with Junie and Babycat was truly a blessing, both girls were the perfect companions ? I was welcomed so warmly by Anne and instantly felt at home, it was as though I was visiting with a close friend! Anne’s property is stunning and walking around the trails each day I would notice something new each time! Visiting at the start of spring was wonderful and I loved watching everything coming to life! I was provided with contact details for numerous friends of Anne, which ensured that I had a great support network during my stay and was able to get out and about to explore the area - I could not have asked for more! I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to not only meet such a kindhearted new friend in Anne, but also to have spent time in such a stunning place with two perfect fur friends ?
Excellent communication! House was clean and comfortable. Everything was clearly explained and organized. A lovely location to spend some time. My favorite part of the house was the beautiful porch with the swinging day bed. Great for an afternoon nap. Nala & Chimu are sweet kitties. They can be very vocal but quite down at night. Nala became my little sidekick following me everywhere. Chimu was more timid and took some time to get comfortable. But she’s the one who loves to play. They are hilarious when the get to zoom around the house chasing each other. I would definitely recommend this sit!
Looking after Jetson, Felix and Curt was such a pleasure! They are friendly and social cats, who enjoy just hanging out by the fireplace and a little cuddling. Marion and Steve made us feel welcome and at home, and their information was thorough and uncomplicated. Their home is beautiful and comfortable, and the location is fantastic. Easy walking trails in every direction, and just a short stroll to a beautiful bay on the Saanich Inlet. We would highly recommend this house sit, but hope they ask us back first!
