This was a truly wonderful house sit, with such kind and friendly people and one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met, Bella. I can't recommend it enough, not just because the house is exceedingly gracious, with extraordinary views of Puget Sound and the mountains, but because Cary and Nelly are so kind, generous, and welcoming and because Bella is a joy to behold. The house is warm and full of beautiful woodwork and art that reflects the owners' generous personalities and kindness. They provided me many extra comforts such as thoughtfully placed TVs and books, and offered clear written directions both by email and then printed out upon arrival. We had the opportunity to meet in person before Cary and Nelly left on their trip, and I had a tour of the house with all of the key elements pointed out and explained, and then they made me such a wonderful dinner! We even got to take Bella on a walk the night before they left, so I learned one of her routes ahead of time, which was really helpful. They also stayed in great touch during the trip, and were very responsive and helpful with any questions I had. Cary and Nelly were so generous with everything in the house, as well as with the use of their car for short errands around town (which was really helpful since mine is electric and didn't have sufficient juice)! Bella is simply a delight of a dog, and I loved being with her--so easy going, loving, and friendly--we became friends quickly. She is a champion ball chaser and enthusiastic walker, and we did a lot of both. She knows the neighborhood very well, and led me on some of her favorite routes. I was so happy to see her friendly happy face every morning and watch her little prancing legs on our walks! I highly recommend this house and dog sit, and would do it again.
This really is a dream sit!! Tina Sparkle and String Emil are beautiful and easy going cats who contrast each other really well; they're perfect company. Both enjoy cuddles but are equally happy snoozing or adventuring alone. Helen & Martin are lovely and super easy to communicate with, it would have been nice to meet them for a lot longer! They are welcoming and generous in sharing their wonderful home, furry family, and way of life with others. The house is so peaceful and in the perfect location to sit and watch wildlife in the garden, walk around or swim in the fjord, or get the ferry into Oslo. Time passed in the most sweet and whimsical way during my stay here. Thank you so much Helen, Martin, Tina, & Emil, I hope to see you all again. Take the chance to sit here in wonder!!
Mi sentada de niñera en casa de Carla & Jack una familia encantadora, me esperaban para ellos poder marchar a su viaje. Ya solo en su preciosa, cojedora casa, con sus mascotas, dos preciosos gatos, Oreo, Lili muy cariñosos amigables no secanasaban de jugar con las baritas, tambien me buscaba para tumbarse en mis rodillas. Pase una instancia muy agradable tanto en paseos en sus alrededores todo es precioso y digno de ver y Aylesbury esprecioso Recomiendo a cualquiera que tenga la oportunidad de sentarse en la vivienda de Carla & Jack cuando les agan falta, que no lo piense y lo soliciten por que estaran super agusto. Al acabar mi sentada siempre me gustan recivir a las familias para darle las gracias personalmente, este caso no pude por circustancias de los autobuses debia estar con otra familia. Nigel and Kirsty, are 2 very calm, chilled, hospitable, friendly and welcoming parents ( servants ) to Morgan and Jenson two adorable cats all of who live in a lovely home on the Isle of Portland. Portland is uniquely attach to the mainland, ( the town of Weymouth) by a peninsular road all part of the amazing Jurassic Coast. Morgan will soon warm to you once she senses your their to “serve” her best interests and you show her some affection( try and resist ). Jenson on the other hand is a little more distant, yet both cats are calm full of personality and totally adorable “ Morgan and Jenson are totally self sufficient and independent where all you need to do is feed them 2 times a day and for the rest of the time they layabout doing their own thing, which allows you as a pet sitter to explore the myriad of spectacular coastal walks, as well as historically significant locations on Portland and that before you even think about travelling to Weymouth which you can do by car or very regular locals bus service . Whether your looking to PetSit and kick back and relax whilst caring for Morgan and Jenson or are seeking to have a more active time, exploring the many many places of interest, including breathtaking scenery along the coast walks, literally along the edge of the entire Portland coastline, it’s a fantastic location. Your will be staying in a lovely home of 2 adorable cats served their primary servants Nigel and Kirsty. Should you be lucky enough for Nigel and Kirsty to accept your application just as I was, you will be sure to have a lovely stay and take away memories that you will keep for ever.
I had a lovely time on this sit! The dogs, Frazzle, Truffle and Acer, are wonderful - entertaining, gorgeous, bossy and affectionate! They are very well trained and can be trusted to return before too long even if they run out of sight. The dogs know their surroundings so well they more or less looked after themselves when outside. It was a pleasure to watch them racing around, enjoying themselves! Claire and Mike are lots of fun, and also very generous. They made me feel very welcome and our communication was easy and straightforward. It's a lovely house in a beautiful, rural area. Much recommended!
We had a great time sitting Dany! Talia and Shane were very easy to communicate with. They left us all the instructions we needed and also gave us some recommendations for exploring Portland. The house is very nice and cozy with a great garden. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood near to some cafes, restaurants and a park. Dany is a wonderful dog, very sweet and lovely. She loved beeing around us but also excepted beeing left alone for a while. We definitely recommend the housesitt.
