Journey Jensen watched our home and 2 year old (75lb) Samoyed Leroy in Bend, Oregon USA for 5 weeks in late July and August of 2021. We could not have had a more delightful experience working with Journey before or during the sit and would give her a 5 Star, 10 out of 10, A++ recommendation. We connected with Journey on Zeewoi 3 weeks before our 5 weeks of travel began as we were in a bit of a pinch due to abnormally high summer temperatures and changing Airline regulations flying pets in the cargo area. From our first conversation, Journey was kind, considerate, prepared, and transparent about what she could offer and when. Within 2 days of our first conversation, Journey was committed to watching our home and had booked travel to make it from New York (the location of her last sit) to Oregon. Her communication was proactive, transparent, and always easy to get along with. She arrived on time and we immediately felt comfortable with her watching our house and caring for our furry little pup right away. Once the sit began, Journey consistently kept communication open, and dealt masterfully with Leroy's temperamental behavior. She was very open and receptive to coaching on ways to deal with Leroy's aggression toward other male dogs and shared a similar experience working with her labrador who had similar aggression problems years ago. We were extremely impressed with her cool, calm, and positive demeanor and after the first week she realized significant behavioral improvements from Leroy. She was great at ensuring Leroy got 2 long walks each day and had tons of play time to keep him busy. She was consistently proactive in communicating with us about anything abnormal with Leroy's diet, energy levels etc and we always felt comfortable with and grateful for the care he was receiving. Journey routinely notified us of any issues with the house, lawn, garbage etc and kept the house spotless and tidy during her stay. She went above and beyond to keep a patch of grass watered that had a broken sprinkler head which was amazing. Our neighbors shared that Journey was quiet, considerate, and mindful of taking care of our home while we were gone. Upon return, our house was cleaner than we had left it (which was already very clean) and we never skipped a beat. Upon return, due to travel schedules, we were fortunate to overlap with Journey for 2 days in our home. Journey picked us up at midnight at the airport and cooked us breakfast the morning after a late arrival. We were fortunate enough to share meals, go for hikes, and celebrate her birthday with her. Journey is a truly seasoned world traveler and A+ human being. We hope our paths will cross again and could not recommend her enough if you are considering her for a sit. She also created an amazing piece of artwork of Leroy that we will treasure forever! Sharon and Brian were amazing! Our kitties were well taken care of, and even our shy cat warmed up quickly. They were very reliable and came a day early to go over everything. They sent messages and daily updates and even had homemade soup waiting for us in case we did not have time to cook once we came back. We would love to have them sit again!
