Thanks to Jane for a lovely sit. Everything was very well organised for when we arrived and Daisy was so easy to look after.
This was definitely the most interesting house sit I've done. John's home and property is amazing. I loved being able to walk for miles through woods and over hills and valleys with the dogs. The sunrises and sunsets and night skies were amazing, an advantage of being far away from city lights. Although it was winter, the huge stone fireplace kept me warm and toasty during my stay. I love the dogs. They aren't typical dachshunds. They walk every day and are very strong and agile. Sarah is the oldest and the matriarch of the family. She is sweet, well behaved and tolerant of her two younger companions. Sweet Pea and Fox are full of energy and love to play outside, but when they are inside, they are cuddle bugs. If you love the outdoors and the peace and quiet of a country setting, you'll love John's unique home and property.
Katie and Kara were welcoming and kind, and their apartment is near a lot of great spots. Ellie and Charlie were very sweet and low maintenance. Ellie loved play time and let me know when she wanted to be pet. Charlie was a bit more timid but warmed up during my stay.
Carolyn and her dear wee Aussie companion, Banjo, are very welcoming, sociable and awesome. We felt at home from the minute we arrived and their relaxed and friendly attitude made things so easy. Banjo is such a sweet and playful little dog who was a pleasure to have accompany us on almost every adventure. Between throwing his favourite duck-toy to convincing him out from under the bed covers each morning, he makes ones holiday that much more enjoyable. Their home was spacious and perfectly located and we took advantage of Caz's well organised kitchen to make regular meals. We loved being able to just leave the back door and immediately escape into the neighbouring fields. Thanks Caz and Banjo for such an awesome and memorable stay!
We had read the previous reviews and so had very high expectations for this sit and it more than lived up to them! Each cat has a very different personality though they are all friendly and very loveable. All Black is a gentle giant, a little nervous. Fluffy spent of lot of time at the farm nearby but always came home for dinner and a few miaows and strokes. Baloo did the morning alarm calls for his breakfast and usually demanded another brekkie 2 hours later! He also enjoyed sleeping on our bed after brekkie and sometimes during the day 😻😻 Ben and Kirsty were very warm and welcoming and extremely generous hosts. Kirsty is a fabulous cook and Ben is a real wine expert. We enjoyed some lovely mealtimes with them and felt very relaxed in their company. They showed us around the first evening to make sure we were comfortable with how everything worked. Ann was delighted to be taken to a few local markets with Kirsty and get some cooking tips. There are lots of interesting towns to visit as well as cafes and wineries. As we share a love of wine it was great to have wineries recommended to us to visit. The local scenery is very beautiful and we visited waterfalls and gorges amongst other things. The house is super well equipped and utterly gorgeous. The pool is a great size and we swam every day. The garden is lovely and the views are fabulous. We highly recommend this sit and would be delighted to return. Thank you Ben and Kirsty for accepting us.
Sweet dogs & a cozy, comfortable home in a beautiful location! Krista & Dylan are so nice & so organized, it was easy even with 4 dogs. We enjoyed the hot tub, views of the mountains & stars. Excellent for remote working - we both Zoomed and downloaded files all week & the connection was absolutely perfect. Estes Park is only 30 minutes away, 15 minutes to Lyons for bars & restaurants. The dogs are cuddly & friendly, just adorable. We would love to come back & sit again!
