Ro took excellent care of our two pups and house while we were out of the country for nearly two weeks. We were so pleased with her attentiveness to the dogs and their schedule, taking them on multiple walks daily, and keeping them happy and with full bellies. Ro is low maintenance, kept us informed of what was happening at home, and sent us pictures regularly. While there were no issues while we were away, I’m confident that Ro would have handled anything thrown at her. In terms of the house, Ro kept it running smoothly and when we returned everything was very clean and tidy. We highly recommend Ro to anyone who needs a trustworthy and reliable pet/house sitter. Thank you Ro!
I had the pleasure of meeting both Eva and John for a tour the day before my housesit started — such welcoming, thoughtful hosts and genuinely kind people. Their beautiful home is nestled in the hills of Silver Lake with gorgeous views, but still within walking distance to grocery stores and other cool spots. Street parking was easy and every neighbor I encountered was friendly — including the neighbor cats, one of whom often chaperoned me during my time in the garden. They have a lush property with multi-level backyard, but don’t be intimidated: automatic sprinklers tend to most areas for you! Eva provided a detailed care doc that included everything I needed to know about the house, plants, neighborhood, and cat. Now onto the main event: Fortunato! This loving little guy is 16 and does require more care than your standard young cat, but his gentle and social nature makes it all worth it. He’s quite the early riser and will likely wake you up whenever he decides it’s breakfast time, so be prepared for that...and maybe go to bed earlier as a preemptive measure. :) The back deck is undeniably Fortunato's favorite spot in the house and he spends most of his afternoons out there, sunbathing between snacks. He gets kidney support drops in one meal each day plus medicine via syringe three times each day, but he makes the process painless — he would literally sit and wait in a specific spot when it was time for his medicine and wouldn’t struggle at all. He is very clever, knows how to communicate his needs, LOVES to be brushed, and is *super* affectionate. Almost every single night, he'd cuddle up on my chest (literally two inches from my face) to purr and slow-blink at me while I watched TV. Such a cutie! I would recommend this sit to all cat lovers who want to help a sweet senior kitty enjoy his sunshine, snacks, and snuggles in a lovely Los Angeles location. Thanks again, Eva and John!
What a wonderful opportunity – a warm, hospitable family and two sweet, sensitive animals, Daisy and Rex. Staying here was a respite with wonderful company. Daisy joined me on daily walks and Rex met us when we got back. The house and environs are beautiful, and the four-legged companionship are the highlight. Could not recommend more highly.
Chris was wonderful to correspond with during her travels. I felt very comfortable and blessed in her home with lovely views. I grew very fond of her kitties Finnegan and Tigger who have so much personality!💜💜I highly recommend this sit to anyone who like peace and calm.
This house-sit felt truly ideal. Jane was warm and communicative throughout, and the two kitties are charming. Zion is delightfully sociable, while Harper was shy but curious. She followed us around, keeping an eye on us, and eventually approached for a few brief pets. The house is spotless and attractive, with a well-engineered layout. The location could scarcely be better: the house is on a quiet street, but it's a 10-minute walk to a great coffee house and a natural food store. Another 10 minutes (or less) walking, and you're at a larger grocery store or at one of Asheville's standout Indian restaurants. Numerous other interesting businesses line that street. Jane supplied carefully detailed instructions for cat- and plant-care, while also being easy-going and a pleasure to deal with. She was flexible in accepting our late-night arrival, which we very much appreciated. My family member and I felt lucky to have this house-sit, and I highly recommend it!
What a fantastic sit! Martin and Jane were so welcoming and we spent a lovely evening with them before their trip. Poppy and Peace took a while to get used to us but after just a few days Peace was sitting on our laps and very friendly. Poppy was a little more shy. They were both easy to care for and Martin and Jane gave us clear instructions for their care. The house and garden are wonderful, in a truly beautiful setting and we loved exploring the area. It was easy to keep in touch with Martin before and throughout the sit. Thank you so much for choosing us to sit for you and for your kind hospitality. We'd love to come back one day!
I had a lovely stay at Mary’s home. Pip was such a snuggly little boy, loved a snooze and a pet, was on a constant hunt for snacks.. this was something Mary mentioned so I tried my best to make sure he didn’t find snacks on our walks. Mary suggested some fun activities to do throughout my stay which I did. All in all I had a great stay and found Pip the most pleasant little pup.
