Esther Lee
My husband and I had the pleasure of sitting for Esther Lee and Doug for 6 weeks from May-June. What an adventure! I hope this info will help other sitters feel comfortable considering this sit.

I'm a "city girl" but the farm in Culleoka was a perfect place for us to land during COVID19. We occasionally had a far-away wave to a neighbor but it was very secluded. We felt as though we were in a private park. It made for glorious stargazing at night.

My friends and family (and husband) were surprised by how much I enjoyed our visit. It's peaceful and welcoming and Esther Lee did everything she could to make our stay comfortable.

The animals were terrific! Since they all live outside, this was a nice situation. We could wake up whenever we wanted and it was fine. The fresh eggs that we collected a few hours after the morning feeding routine were a welcome gift.

All 4 dogs are total LOVES. They were all sweet and affectionate and loved following us around the farm. The farm is large so we got good exercise walking the property (19 acres).

I had never "met" a mule, donkey, cow, or pig before this sit. What an experience! Feeding apple slices to the mules and donkeys became a fun treat for all of us. One of the pigs smells of strongly of maple syrup. How cool/interesting is that?

The house is comfortable and the WiFi is speedy. We cooked most of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen. Also, the home is filled with hundreds of books. If you're into reading and peace, you'll think you're in heaven. The patio and pool made for relaxing times.

Some of our favorite trips away from the farm included:
-a visit to the Amish town of Ethridge, TN where we had A++ brisket at Shaffer Farms in Summertown
-a few trips to Nashville for the best Nashville Hot Chicken at Hattie B's
-a special upscale Cajun meal at River Terrace in Columbia
-walks around the cute shops in Franklin

Fred
We had such a fantastic time at Fred's place with dear Sheilah! We were there when the Apple Hill festival was going on. There are many apple farms and wineries in the area!
The house was charming, with enough space. The only thing for us was the internet connection - it was slow.
There is a beautiful large garden with fruits and vegetables to eat directly from.
Sheilah is such a funny and adorable dog! We love her. She went on hikes with us, which went great. She's easy to take with you in a car. We went to see Lake Tahoe with her, which was great (also for her)!
Fred is very kind and generous. We recommend a house sit for Fred & Sheilah highly!

Christine
I had an absolutely fantastic time house-sitting for Christine, Mark, and their lovely family of animals. Christine and Mark are very warm and friendly, and made me a lovely meal when I arrived. Their old farm house is large and comfortable, and in such a beautiful, peaceful location - a quiet friendly, rural village, with the Pyrennes in the distance. The town of Vic-en-Bigorre is just a short drive away and has plenty of shops.

The three dogs, Leo, Dominic, and Bodie, each have very different personalities. Leo is old and very cuddly, whereas the other two have much more energy, and Bodie is a lovely, lively mischievous puppy, who loves to chew things. The cats are also very sweet, and I got on very well with Biscuit, who used to greet me enthusiastically every time I came home, and loved climbing all over me!

I would definitely recommend this sit to anyone who wants to experience rural France in a beautifully restored farmhouse.
