Caroline
Another great sit. Caroline was brilliant in the run up to the sit, really really helpful. We arrived the evening before Caroline left. She showed us round the house and the local walks. We were left with loads of information and very clear instructions. Pinot is the most gentle and beautiful lab. There were loads of lovely local walks we enjoyed with her but Pinot was also happy to come with us in the car when we wandered further afield. Thanks Caroline for a great stay in Scotland.

Malinda
We felt at ease, and warmly welcomed before we even arrived and felt right at home when we met gracious Malinda.

Her two dogs are delightful and we easily got into a nice routine together, including short walks daily which they absolutely loved, expressing such joy at the idea of 'a walk'. We adjusted to walking some of the flatter long driveways (before gates) to allow their older tired legs to have a rest, on the rising hill up back to the house. We found that this worked the best for them, shorter simpler walks to see the horses (on the first road to the right.) The dogs (especially Meisha) really loved to see the horses that would often greet us if they were around, within their fenced in area.

The setting is unbelievable, tucked into the mountains. You can feel the mountains, see hawks soaring above you daily and the fresh air is magical and sublime. Malinda has put a lot of love and care into her home; it is quite lovely and retreat like, as well as comfortable/functional.
The view from the deck is spectacular and it's a wonderful place for a retreat.

Should there be rain, be sure to ask about where the nearby route with the bridge is, versus driving on Edwin road through the creek. At times the pups did not want to eat their regular food. After a few days of this we consulted with Malinda and creatively found some solutions.

Malinda was always easy to communicate with and though overseas was quick to reply which was helpful.

All in all this was a great sit in a unique and beautiful home/property with the sweetest two Huskies and a lovely owner. It was clearly a special and unforgettable sit.

Rachel
This is a really great house sit. Her cat Gambit is one of a kind, super-entertaining and her apartment is great. It is spacious, comfortable and has everything you would need for your stay. East Harlem is a vibrant neighborhood, and everything you need is close by. Central Park is just a few blocks away, and there are two subway stations within three blocks in either direction. Rachel is great and we are glad we have had the opportunity to stay here so many times.

Trevor
This was a great experience. Trevor communicated prior to the sit so we could coordinate arrival time, and he reached out when the apartment lost power for a few hours.

The apartment was very clean and organized. It's within walking/biking distance of pretty much everything that makes Portland unique. There's a nice coffee shop 4 blocks away, and many cool bars and restaurants can be reached within a matter of minutes. There is also bus and light rail access within a few blocks.

Copper is a fantastic companion. He loves to go on walks but is also happy to just go out in the fenced-in backyard space when he needs to. He is very into playing catch with his ball and will let you know when it rolls under the furniture so he can't reach it! He also spends a lot of time just curled up and chilling on the couch.

I would definitely sit for Copper again and would recommend Trevor's place for anyone looking to experience Portland.

And thanks for facilitating my next sit..
Good luck and best wishes for a very happy and loving future. Best and xxx Judith
