This was our very first THS sit, and we really couldn't have asked for better. Helen & Angus are warm & passionate people, who really took the time to get to know us prior to our sit & to help us be confident in taking care of the gorgeous Mungo while they were away. The house is idyllic & situated in rolling countryside. You can achieve peace & quiet the minute you arrive with a fabulous wood to explore with Mungo on his daily walks. Mungo is a huge bundle of love. He loves to be by your side (he gives the best cuddles & kisses) and wants to be involved in everything. Mungo is a clear communicator - if you forget his post-walk biscuits, he will guide you to them (very politely, of course).
We throughly enjoyed hanging out with Wrigley & Tucker in Maren & Wes’s beautiful home. These 2 well-behaved dogs quickly worked their way into our hearts. They really are low- maintenance pets & let you know exactly what they need. They entertain each other & you. Wait until you turn on the tv for the first time! Wrigley loves watching tv & when a dog appears she lets it know it’s not welcome in the house! Cracked us up & made for some cute videos. We miss them & are still talking about them. The pool is perfect & watching sunsets from the deck daily is breathtaking. There is also a 2 person kayak which we enjoyed and we frequently saw dolphins swimming by the house. If you get a chance to pet sit these loving dogs grab it! We’re looking forward to returning in December 😊
I had a great time with Mocha, she was so sweet, a good dog. This is a nice getaway surrounded by woods (can be deer too), and the jacuzzi and sauna are a great plus. Interesting little town 30 minutes from downtown Cleavland. Chargin Falls has an actual waterfall in the center of it and a cute little bookshop. I was able to visit my grandpa who lives in Cleavland as well. Loved it and would gladly come back!
Toby is a very social dog and friendly. He loves to play with his ball in the park. Julie is very kind and we have a great communication. They live in a nice apartment very easy to reach by public transport. Highly recommended.
We had such a lovely stay looking after Caroline's home and spending time with Crumpet and Beamer. They were fantastic dogs to care for and we enjoyed taking them for walks around the property and on short day trips in the car. Caroline was incredibly kind and hospitable. Definitely a highlight of our time in the UK!
This was a short and last minute sit and we're glad to have applied for it. Wendy and Lyndon were warm and welcoming, and made sure we were fed and well equipped to handle both their home and dogs whilst they were away. The home is set within quiet farmland and had a paddock and ample garden space for the dogs to have a wander and play. The house is quaint and well appointed, we felt at ease immediately on arrival. It was great to wake up to the sounds of chirping birds, and have the 3 sociable dogs as company throughout the day. We'd love to return one day if an opportunity arises.
