I highly, highly recommend Keli!! We had an unusual situation for a sit, where a tornado and a Derecho came through Houston during her stay at my home with my cat. My cat is very anxious, and Keli made sure to comfort him during the storm, and also gave me detailed updates daily about his care, the weather, the electricity being out, and having no water for a period of time. Thankfully, all was restored before I returned. I had let Keli know she and her daughter could feel free to leave the sit sooner than anticipated to go somewhere with power and I would have a friend check on my cat -- she insisted that it was alright and that they would like to still finish out the stay. Keli left my place cleaner than it was when she walked in, and loved on my kitty while I was away. She followed all of my instructions and went above and beyond to make sure my pet and home were well taken care of during the storm. I would love to have Keli and her daughter stay with Eli again sometime in Houston, maybe with some better weather next time!
Meatball and Panda are adorable, they were very friendly, playful and affectioned since the start. They love to play and they have a impressive collection of toys. It was good that we were 2 people to walk them, as it was easier to handle both of them at the same time during the walks, specially being a busy area to walk. Meatball is very food motivated and love his treats and Panda was not always so interested in finishing her food (although she loved to watch us eat haha). They might chew some things if left alone, so is good to take a look around before leaving for anything they might want to chew and leave them some treat to help distract them. As we didn’t have any plans to go out for the days of the sit, we stayed at home with them during the whole sit, so this only happened once when we had to leave for 2 hours during the last day. Tal and Keri are very friendly and welcoming. We arrived the day before they left, as they would leave early morning, and they showed us everything and explained about the dogs' routine. Tal showed us how to prepare their food, mostly fruits and vegetables for Meatball and mostly dry food for Panda. They bought us dinner and we ate together, which was good to get to know each other a little more and we appreciate. They left some toiletries in the bathroom for us and asked about our preferences for the room before the sit, which was nice. The communication with them was also good, as they always reply fast. The sit was extended by 1 day, as Tal had to take another trip and we were available to stay another day, so during the sit he had to come home for one night and left early morning. The apartment is great, clean, comfortable, spacious and has a great kitchen. The location is also great, in a nice neighborhood with a lot of restaurants and malls walking distance. We felt very comfortable in the apartment during our stay and we loved taking care of Meatball and Panda! 😊
Heather and Chris are so wonderful and sweet. They kindly provided us with all of the instructions and guidance we needed, and whenever we ran into any hiccups, they immediately responded to us and helped. They opened their beautiful home to us and welcomed us like family, and they truly make you feel that way. The animals are all lovely, too—they’re all so individualistic and unique. The cats are so cuddly and cute, always willing to give love and affection. Every dog is amazing too! Ava is a cuddle dog and Bear tries to be a lap dog despite his size, but he is such a goof. And Otis! He is such a charmer and he just makes your heart melt. Herbbie is such a playful boy and loves keep away and miss Daisy is such a little sweetheart as well. The horses and ponies are all so easy and great to take care of as well, and while they give a bit of attitude (mostly towards each other), they’re all still sweethearts and you just fall in love as they’re just amazing. Heather walks you through everything to do with the animals, so while it may seem a lot, it is not as difficult as it seems. Definitely worth a visit to the beautiful Irish countryside! We had a lovely stay at Rob’s place. Meika is just beautiful, shy at first but soon we were firm friends. Rob’s trust gave us the opportunity to visit our grandchildren and have a convenient home base! We would very happily return should Meika want company in the future.
I really enjoyed this sit as the two dogs, Tengo and Boozer were fabulous company, very sensitive and protective and the stars of the sit. The walking was great as it was all off road and covered woodland, riverside and open field. I also liked being on a farm although due to very wet weather everything was very muddy. I decided it must be idyllic in summer. The neighbours across the yard were very friendly and helpful. Many thanks to Louisa and Marcus for inviting me.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Kristina's, where I had the pleasure of pet sitting Wally. Kristina ensured a smooth experience by providing clear instructions and everything necessary for my stay. As a thoughtful gesture, she arranged for Baguette to stay with friends. Wally, a lovable cat, took some time to adjust but soon settled down, showing his affectionate nature. He loves napping on the bed, providing warm and cozy company. The apartment, situated in the quiet neighborhood of Capitol Hill, is conveniently located 8 minutes on foot from Macrina Bakery and a 25-minute walk from Trader Joe's. Kristina was a delight to interact with and I wholeheartedly recommend this stay.
Nancie is a very generous person, I loved to be at her cozy home caring for Carlos and Mina. Carlos is such a lovely dog, he behaves impeccably and also understands English and Spanish 🤩 which is so cool. Mina, the cat, is adorable, she likes kisses, hugs and being brushed!! 💕
