This pet sit was a delight! It’s our first time looking after a greyhound and Vera is as graceful, elegant and athletic as they come. We love our daily walks to the two lovely parks nearby and smothering her with attention. Her frequent downward dogs and stretches and princessy patterns etc. always gave us a chuckle. The house itself is bright, colorful and artfully decorated which made our short but sweet stay feel so cozy. And Brighton is full of charm so what’s not to love! Oh gosh, we can't say enough good things about Lisa + Leslie! They were so sweet and accommodating and have a beautiful home and neighborhood! Great communication, easy arrival and hand off process! Okay, onto the BEST boy, Rudi! I sobbed, literally sobbed (twice) when we left my sweet guy. Rudi is such an easy dog to care for, he loves his treats, will tell you if he needs to go out to the back yard to potty between walks and has some silly little quirks that make my heart smile just thinking about them. He LOVES his outside water bowl on the screened in back porch so 99% of the time he looks at the sliding door he wants water not to potty, the inside bowl is not the vibe for him and is honestly only for emergencies in his eyes (I'm sure of it). Lol! He has a few frienemies in the neighborhood that bark at him and he barks back - he's easy to redirect by putting a gentle hand on his collar and walking with him but he HAS to pee in their yard to ensure they knew he was there! 🤣 We love a petty king. He wants in on every hug and kiss if you're traveling with a partner, any time my partner would go to hug me or kiss me Rudi would literally butt in so he wasn't left out - I adore this dog. He's SO gentle even with his big size, he takes gentle bites when you hand him treats and he keeps you company in each and every room you go into. He's low maintenance at 10 years old and moves slower than a younger GSD would. He refused to take walks with just my partner because he needed it to be a family affair, I think that was just our dynamic because he chose me as the person he wanted to be near and protect (like he does with his mom Linda). I know I'm rambling on but truly, he's the best boy and we would adore seeing this big guy again in the future! Thank you Linda + Leslie for choosing us and trusting us with your baby, and for putting up with the daily texts with endless photos and videos! Hope to see you again in the future!
Easy communication with Andrew to organise a relatively last minute house sit. It was a pleasure to look after Obi during the weekend - he was super friendly, well behaved and easy to look after. The house was also a perfect weekend getaway from the city during the bank holiday! Thanks very much :)

I'd never considered ferrets before I saw Becki's listing and I'm so happy I was chosen for this opportunity to get to know them! The "girls" are so entertaining and easy to manage. Their personalities are so different - Molly is curious like a cat while Beanie is laid back and lazy. They both sleep a lot so when they're out exploring they're just adorable! Becki was very welcoming and organized with a "Ferret Starter Kit" on the kitchen counter. The girls were easy to manage with a few tips and tricks from Becki! The apartment is beautiful and the view is stunning. It's located close to the city center but still very quiet. I'd highly recommend this sit, even if you have no previous ferret experience. It's a great opportunity to get to know the little creatures and explore the area of Grasse!
Shaldon is a lovely spot in Devon and house is in middle of village. Both dogs have characters and we enjoyed looking after them. We were shown local walks before they left on their family break where safe to let them off lead. Communication was good and Luki and Alfie are lovely friendly dogs and we would be happy to care for them again sometime in future.

Dans Pet Care is amazing! I’ve done boarding and doggie day care. My pup has a lot of energy and is crate trained so I was worried about the crate free boarding but they went through everything with me and he did great. Everyday whether it’s daycare or boarding I would get a report. The last time I boarded him they gave him a bath and he smelled amazing for a month! They are also magicians because on the luau day they got him in a Hawaiian shirt, I don’t know how but they did and he sat still for the pic. It was amazing! He loves their kiddie pools & the entire staff is so excited to see him everytime he comes. He can be a lot sometimes with his high energy and he fits right in with all the other pups. I’m so grateful for the entire team at Dans Pet Care.
Dan's Daycare is no joke THE BEST place for your fur babies! Me and my boyfriend have tried every sitter, every daycare, and nothing compares to Dan's! We have a European Doberman and it's been hard to find a daycare and boarding center that ACTUALLY know what they are doing! Everyone at Dan's knows what they are doing, SO reliable, and treat your dog like their own. I can't say enough amazing things! BIG BENEFIT: Daily report cards with all the cutest photos taken from the day! I mean common! They did a Hawaiian Luau and just look how adorable
After having a very bad experience at Dogtopia with my poor baby Max, I can say I found the perfect place. Max now is happy going to his half-days and little by little his super fear and nervousness is changing. 🙏Joe has provided a lot of help for Max and more than thinking about money he thinks about the well-being of my dog and we are following his recommendations so that Max enjoys his play time- half days at Dan's petcare and Soon I know that Max will be ready to spend a full day playing, Julia in front desk is very special with puppys too I love her ☺️All the staff are very friendly and loving with the puppies, I love receiving the report cards and photos of the day, ☺️ thank you everyone!
I can’t say enough good things about Dan’s!!! They have been walking and training my dog ever since she was a puppy and they’re just a total pleasure to work with! They’re kind, compassionate, responsible, and love dogs!!! They not only take good care of her but she’s SOOO excited to see them when they walk through the door! No one could ask for more :)
Dan’s pet care is a gem!!! My dog absolutely LOVES the day care facility, and the walkers who come to visit. This is the most nurturing, fun, safe, happy environment for our fur baby. We love the staff, and the careful and competent , and loving attention they each give to every dog. The daily report cards and photo updates are also amazing! When we drop off Gigi , or rely on Dan’s to visit, we are confident she is in good hands. We LOVE this place!!!
Dan’s team is fantastic. They’re beyond so friendly and so good to our dog, Beau. He always comes out with a big smile! I think his favorite part is the outdoor area with sprinklers : ) We were so grateful that they toured us around the facility before Beau’s first day and love the daily report cards too.
We can’t say enough good things about Dan’s. The staff are friendly and helpful, the facility is spotless, and they’ve really gone the extra mile for the dogs — pools, luaus, smoothies… the list goes on. :) We’ve been so thrilled with Dan’s but, this weekend, they went WAY above and beyond. Our dog needed medical treatment while boarding. Dan took her to our local vet, got her started with antibiotics, and even offered to take her to his house for the night, so she’d been more comfortable and he could keep an eye. We got updates from Dan and the vet, and our dog is doing great. The takeaway: this crew really, REALLY cares. Dan loves dogs and it shows. And at the end of the day, that’s who you want caring for your pets. We’re so happy to have found Dan’s. I couldn’t recommend anyone or any business more highly. Thank you, Dan and team. Since day 1, the staff at Dan’s Pet Care in Glen Cove have been nothing but welcoming & friendly. My pup was greeted with open arms & so much love. Drop off is available at 7 am which is a HUGE help with my work schedule. Late pickup is also available if needed. The process started off sending my pup to a temperament test to see where she would be best during the day. Then once passed, she was okayed to go to day care! The dogs are separated based on size. There’s also an outdoor area for when the nice days come around. Mid-day, you get a report card of how your pup is doing and you also get some pictures! Any special needs, the staff takes into consideration. The staff really seems to really care about each individual dog which makes me feel more than comfortable to send her there. Once she came home, she immediately curled up in her bed & took a nap, she was exhausted from a long day of playing! Will absolutely take advantage of all the great things Dan’s Pet Care has to offer!
We have 2 very rambunctious Jack Russell mixes that have easily overwhelmed every sitter we’ve tried. Anne has been the only one!!! She is so professional, responsive and caring to our dogs, I can’t recommend her enough. Not only has she given them a supportive home to stay, her diligence and attention has improved our dogs behavior. I wanted to share my great experience with In Home Pet Services of Glen Cove. I have five indoor cats and a bird, and I take care of a small feral cat community outside. I had to take a trip out of the country with family, for a family destination wedding and I needed for all of the pets to be fed and taken care of once daily. I am used to the daily routine, but it is tremendous task for someone new to the routine. The owner, Ann was incredibly nice and professional. She came to my house one week prior to my departure to go over the routine, meet my pets, and take notes detailing their needs and what is involved in their daily care. She spent considerable time for that free of charge consultation. While I was away, I received daily texts detailing how the visit went and how all the pets appeared and if the food was being consumed. I had great peace of mind while away, knowing that my pets inside as well as the ferals outside had all their needs met each day. When I arrived home, everything was in order and all of the animals inside and outside, looked great. In addition, the cost of such wonderful service was incredibly reasonable, especially given the reliable care and service that my pets received while away. I highly recommend this service for your pet care needs.
My normal sitter was unable to watch my golden retriever and chocolate lab for our family vacation so I called Ann. I was so grateful she was able to take my darlings. They had a big backyard to play in and a kiddie pool to splash around in. Ann kept In touch with us through daily pictures and videos! I could see that they were happy and relaxed under her loving care! Thank you Ann!
My puppy is a 16 year old American Eskimo Dog. Tough breed, not only ole but also handicapped. They handle her without any issues. I have used them for house sitting when I travel and my house was as tidy as when I left. I don’t know what I would do without Home Pet Services. They take such good care of Nikki and the support and encouragement they give to me is a Godsend. I cannot say enough about them!
