My daughter & I received a very warm welcome and evening meal upon arrival at Catherine's immaculate clean & tidy home. We felt as though we were in a hotel with towels & toiletries provided & large comfortable beds. Catherine's house is bright & airy & we were offered not only fresh eggs from her chickens but food from the fridge also. Morrie & Rosie were very well behaved & easy to care for. They were no trouble at all on our walks, were friendly with other dogs & had excellent recall. They were also very good in the car. Catherine's chickens were also easy to care for & have a great little set up. They were free to roam Catherine's lovely flowerfull garden during the day, which was lovely to see. Catherine was very organised & showed us the ropes prior to leaving - even driving us to the local woods & showing us one of her walks. Despite the unpredictable weather that particular week, we found plenty to do & see in the area. Catherine's house is perfectly placed within a 10 min drive into the countryside & beaches and a 15 min drive to the city. We would definitely recommend a sit at Catherine's.
Sophie and Justin have a beautiful home in San Mateo. We enjoyed watching sunsets from their well thought out and cozy backyard. They were so hospitable in showing us where everything was even though they had a flight to catch the same day. Responsibilities were few, clear, and simple. Justin and Sophie were always available with any questions we had. Ziggy is such a cool, gentle, and intelligent dog. He walks extremely well on the leash. Ziggy is such a gentleman and was so welcoming to Zeus. We loved having Ziggy sleep with us, and enjoyed giving him lots of love. Even though Sophie and Justin live in a safe neighborhood, it's always nice to be around a dog that alerts you when the mailman comes or a package has arrived. We look forward to spending more time with Ziggy in the future in Sophie and Justin's oasis.
Anthony and Shaun were the perfect hosts - friendly, communicative and welcoming. Their wonderful whippets were an absolute pleasure to care for and to be around - they are delightfully adorable, sweet and well trained. In addition, Anthony and Shaun have a lovely, comfortable apartment that is well located and very stylishly decorated. I really enjoyed pet sitting for Anthony & Shaun and highly recommend them as hosts, I would very happily look after Escher and Rabbit again. Thank you for the opportunity to take care of your wonderful whippets and home :)
What an absolute blessing it was to be able to look after Cornelia's two fluffy girls over Christmas and New Year! Shy and quiet Alitas and brave inquisitive Peque. A perfect blend of comfortable accommodation, rustic olive garden, nearby facilities (pretty-looking town/village, church, grocer, cafe and restaurants), mountain view / walks and warm weather. I loved the quiet location, hearing cocks crow in the morning, the safety of neighbours' dogs sounding warnings as people passed by and the distant brmm of motorbikes on the mountain roads. Cornelia herself was so welcoming - going above and beyond when she allowed me to stay on a couple of extra days after her return to allow me to catch a cheaper flight. I greatly enjoyed this time of getting to know her better. Thank you for choosing me Cornelia :-)
From start to finish, it was an absolute pleasure to stay at Adam and Nancy’s home and to care for their pets. You can just tell how loved Tilly, Guy diamond, Ginny, and Tipsy are when you spend time with them. We had such a good weekend walking around Oxford with Tilly and reading while next to the cats when the occasional rain shower passed through. Tilly is a sweet, affectionate dog who cuddles with you on the couch and Guy diamond is a purr factory that adores attention. Tipsy was always ready to be pet and took a big liking to Peter. Ginny, also very sweet, had her own routine for coming and going and was happy to receive affection when she was curled up in her basket. Nancy and Adam have a great set up with a new annex (separate apartment) that offers convenient access to the main house. The annex has everything we needed. However, we spent much of our time with their pets in the beautiful glass walled living room overlooking the garden. Communicating with Nancy and Adam was easy and they are very responsive. They made us feel very welcome and were so kind in helping us with and unexpected travel matter as we were departing. Their home is on major bus lines and close to many shops and parks. We fell in love with Adam and Nancy’s pets and had such a nice stay. We’d visit again and highly recommend them for a petsitting visit.
My son and I had a wonderful time watching Kobe and kitty. Walking Kobe around their beautiful neighborhood and seeing all the amazing gardens made me want to move to Portland. Kobe was a great dog and kitty loved pets. The house is adorable and we were totally comfortable.
