We had a wonderful time at this house sit and it was an absolute pleasure looking after the chalet and the gorgeous cats and dogs. Laoch is the softest, most lovable giant and Hiero is intelligent but also incredibly affectionate. Both dogs were very well behaved and we grew very fond of them very quickly. The cats were no trouble at all - very independent but they also love a fuss and were a pleasure to care for. The chalet is gorgeous - spacious, comfortable, peaceful and set amongst the most stunning scenery. The internet was fast and we were both able to work from the chalet with no trouble at all. It is easy to reach from Geneva airport and there is a bus stop a few minutes walk from the chalet which is very helpful. There is also a small town a 20 minute walk away with some lovely restaurants and shops etc. George and Sylvia were fantastic hosts. Communication and instructions were excellent and very helpful. They helped us with our transport and made us feel very welcome. They very kindly invited us to join them for dinner to get to know them and their family which we very much enjoyed. Overall we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this sit and would be back in a heartbeat!
What a truly wonderful week taking care of Pebble, Mole and Sparkle for Melissa and Gruff in stunning Suffolk! 🤩 Melissa and Gruff are so warm and kind. They welcomed us into their home and took time to chat, get to know us and introduce us to their pets before showing us around the house and talking us through the daily routines. The pets were an absolute joy to take care of. They all have sweet, kind natures and the most beautiful manners. Pebble is a total sweetheart 🥰. She is gentle, funny, loves playing ball and frisbee but equally loves snoozing and cuddling up with you on the sofa. She walks beautifully on and off lead and her recall is excellent. Despite only being 1 year old at the time of our visit she was so well-behaved. She occasionally picked up our shoes and slippers 😆 but all it took was a gently chiding “Pebble leave” and she immediately put them down! Mole is a real heartbreaker 🥹. She mostly wants to snooze and cuddle as close to you as possible, which we thoroughly indulged! She loved coming out on walks too and just let us know when her tiny legs got tired or the grass was too long/wet so that we could carry her for a while. Sparkle is a lovely cat. She’s quite self-sufficient but also very affectionate. She came for cuddles and a chat with us and with the pups at least twice a day! Melissa and Gruff’s home is beautiful and stylish with a very happy and cosy feel. Every detail has been thought of. It’s super easy to keep clean. The space is bright and uplifting and we had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. The setting is absolutely idyllic with extensive gardens leading onto rolling countryside. We were captivated by the wildlife not just in the surrounding area but also in the garden! Thank you Melissa and Gruff for entrusting your beautiful girls to us for the past week 🥰
