Bruce and Judy were great to work with! The house is beautiful, and very clean. The guest bedroom is quite comfortable, and the back yard is a peaceful sanctuary. However, the best part is that Madeline is a wonderful little friend!! She is very well-behaved, happy, affectionate, and just a dream to spend your time with! She is just darling. I highly recommend this house-sit, and I would be happy to care for Madeline any time!
We had a very pleasant and relaxed housesit looking after Snoopy the Cat in Weesp. Snoopy is a very relaxed, low maintenance and playful cat. A joy to look after. Snoopy is fed by an automatic feeder but you can still give her some snacks and treats during the day which she loves. Snoopy is an indoor cat who loves to relax but loves to play as well. The house is located in Weesp which is officially part of the Amsterdam municipality and only 15-20 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central station, and Weesp station is a 3 minute walk from the house. However, Weesp itself is a small village with a very cozy historic village center with many local shops and restaurants. The house is very spacious and has all amenities you can wish for, even with a small garden in the back with sun on a sunny day! Michelle and Pete are great to work with. Communication prior to the sit and during the sit was really easy and we were welcomed very friendly on arrival. Michelle provided a great welcome guide with all required information. So yes, we would definitely recommend sitting Snoopy in Weesp, close to Amsterdam :-)
Bourbon was the absolute sweetest. So kind and playful as well as attentive and calm. Truly a dream dog to be with. Highly recommend this sit!
Absolutely lovely people we enjoyed getting to know. Taking care of Fred and Jim was a breeze and brought so much character into our days. We loved their personalities, they make such a cute pair. It was a nice place to work, and spend time in the surrounding areas. We would be happy to come back if ever needed! We are so grateful we got to have this experience, and we hope to visit as friends in the future. 😊
What a wonderful experience on a little slice of heaven in Florida. Celia and Shay were welcoming, gracious and such interesting hosts! We had a couple of meals with them and it quickly felt like we were hanging out with old friends. They explained everything very thoroughly, so it was all very easy. The property itself was full of beautiful plants and fruit trees, including scrumptious ones we had never heard of! Their cats were quite independent; caring for them was easy. But the chickens were the stars of the animal show (plus they provided lots of fresh eggs every day). Though close to both Cape Canaveral and the beach, their place is a very quiet and nourishing getaway in a nature haven. Highly recommend. We still talk about our experiences there and hope to get back soon!
I think I have sat for over 100 host(s). Sarah and Lucas might be the very best thus far. Fantastic communication. Crystal clear about every aspect of the sit, the house, the neighborhood and their pets. They took me out for drinks and fed me the next day before leaving on their trip. After I was robbed in Paris on the way to Montpelier, they insisted on leaving me cash in case I needed it while I straightened things out with my bank. They left me a public transport card for getting around the city, though I never used it as everything I needed and wanted was within easy walking distance. In short, they are considerate, lovely, and kind people. Add to that three absolutely charming and wonderful, perfect cats, a fantastic neighborhood and this adds up to a sit that you really need to try to do if the opportunity arises. The cats are great fun, easy, and very affectionate. Public transport, the tram which easily gets you anywhere in the city, is literally steps away from the very comfortable flat. I could go on and on. I really hope I get a chance to return as I truly loved everything about this stay. I’m very grateful to Lucas and Sarah and I am still missing the cats very much.
