Hana and Angelika could not have been better house and pet sitters! They were respectful of our space and went above and beyond making sure it was just as we left it before our return. It was a huge relief knowing that we were coming home to our kitty and home being so well cared for. Thank you both for making this experience such a breeze and so enjoyable! We can’t recommend Hana and Angelika enough - we would have then sit for us again in a heartbeat!
This was a fantastic sit. Eric and Doug were kind, interesting, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. They really went out of their way to make me feel at home including stocking the fridge with my favorite foods. Their home is very clean, comfortable, well equipped, and located in the perfect spot to sit and stare at the ocean and enjoy the quiet life on Orcas Island. It is also just down the street to the trails into Moran State Park. Then there is Barack: he is just the sweetest! He is extremely well-trained, loving, and just exudes pure contagious joy. He is one of those dogs who appear to always be smiling and who every stranger wants to stop and say hello to. He bonded quickly, and likewise so did I. In fact, I have been missing him since I left. I would not hesitate for a moment to return or recommend this sit to anyone looking to spend time with a wonderful dog on magical Orcas Island. Thank you, Eric and Doug, for this great opportunity!
Saralynn and Gerry were fantastic hosts, always very clear with expectations and very friendly. We really enjoyed looking after their two lovely cats Max and Ziggy and they began to be fond of us - bringing us little gifts from the garden. The location itself, a gorgeous and modern 11th-century house set on a scenic hill with an incredible view and beautiful sunsets. We wholeheartedly recommend Saralynn and Gerry and would housesit for them again. We also loved their recommendations of things to do in the area and enjoyed their company as well as interesting conversations over gin and tonics! 5 Stars!
I thoroughly enjoyed my 9-day sit with Betty. Anna and Tom are really friendly, welcoming and relaxed hosts and their home is light, spacious and comfortable, with everything I needed. Anna's communication before and during the sit was great, making everything really smooth, and she was kind enough to drop me off at the bus station the day I left. Betty is an absolutely gorgeous dog. She is so sweet and smart and also very well behaved, both around the house and out and about. We went on lots of walks together around the local area, my favourites being around Hamilton Gardens and the beach by the river, where she loved to play ball. Her off-lead recall is great and I felt proud to be out with her (she also received quite a few compliments from passers-by!) The area is friendly and safe, with bus stops nearby to get around. This was a fantastic sit and I can highly recommend spending time with Betty if you get the chance!
We loved dog sitting Brando the bulldog! He’s truly a love bug - so friendly, cuddly and playful. He was incredibly well behaved for us and was super easy to take on walks. Jessica and Mike were very welcoming, kind and helpful. They were really clear with instructions and answered any questions we had. Their apartment was in a great location to explore Manhattan! We had an incredible time in New York and Brando was honestly one of our highlights. He has some serious charm! We would look after Brando again in a heartbeat! Thank you Jess and Mike once again. 💛
Kay is a very welcoming and generous host. It was easy to communicate with her during the sit. Her house is clean and orderly, and it is in a very safe, family-oriented neighborhood that is about a 20-minute drive to a lot of local hiking trails in Jefferson County. Charlie is a very mellow and cuddly kitty who will gladly read the books or watch the movie with you on the couch (or on your lap). He also enjoys his sunny backyard time and being brushed, which is required with his long coat. I would gladly come back for another sit in the future. Thank you for having me, Kay!
We had a wonderful experience staying at Merreck's place. Sadie is a sweet, intelligent and quiet dog with a wonderful demeanor and is very easy to care for. The house is lovely, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax. Located in a serene neighborhood, it's close to beaches, parks, and all the conveniences you might need. Merreck is an exceptional host, providing clear instructions and making sure we felt completely at home. We would highly recommend this sit to anyone!
