We had a delightful time with Suki, Fred, and their human counterparts. From the moment we arrived, we felt instantly at ease. Kirsten and Paul are warm, exceedingly generous, and engaging individuals who welcomed us as if we were friends. We were fortunate enough to arrive a day early, giving us ample time to get to know everyone. Despite travelling the following day, Paul and Kirsten spent the entire evening indulging us with a BBQ, regaling us with amusing tales, showing a keen interest in our lives, and we connected wonderfully. Had it been a blind date, we might have matched these four residents correctly among many others, for just as Kirsten and Paul are, so are Suki and Fred—utterly endearing, gentle, and simply a joy to spend time with. Suki is exceptionally warm-hearted, and is very well-behaved. She loves her walks and can be safely let off the leash as she always comes back, stops, and waits for us to catch up. She also halts immediately when called. Suki is a low-maintenance dog who enjoys homemade tasty meals from her mum and occasionally relishes a treat. Fred is the most beautiful cat we have ever seen. He is so lovely to cuddle, soft, fluffy, and savours every second of affection. He is a cat who truly lives in the moment, from whom one can truly learn to cherish every beautiful second. The area is stunning and especially navigable with a car (Suki is an excellent travel companion. Of course, she isn't driving, but she’s perfectly content in the boot), enabling exploration of the beautiful surroundings. The house is brand-new, and the bed extremely comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our time. Thank you Kirsten, Paul, Suki & Fred.
This was a lovely sit. The house was gorgeous and so nicely set up for my arrival. Izzi was absolutely no problem and such a cutie.Had some amazing walks around the local area and its so close for discovering all the ancient sites. Thankyou for a lovely stay.
Moby is the absolute sweetest little pal you could have! He always loved couch and bed snuggles, and when I'd return to the house after being out he'd go crazy with excitement to see me again. You will love your time spent with him! Volker was easy to communicate with before and during the sit. He and Moby greeted me at the bus stop when I arrived, and he'd kindly picked up some groceries for me so I didn't need to run out to the store right after my arrival. The house is right on the beach. You step out the front door and onto sand. The beach is lovely, you'll see the best sunsets. There are various cafés near the house. Be sure to try the salame de chocolate from Café do Zé and the bifana from Pirata. So good! The city is 25 minutes away by bus and the mall/movie theater is 20 min. The airport is only 5 min away. I recommend this sit to anyone looking for some beach time or just good puppy snuggles! I look forward to coming back myself if the dates line up!
We had the best time house sitting for Hugo and Josie as well as looking after the beautiful Ronnie! Ronnie was such a well behaved dog, filled with energy and love for you. We really enjoyed our long walks with Ronnie and getting to explore the area with lots of off leash parks and trails! Hugo and Josie gave us all the instructions we needed and were quick to respond to any concerns we had over Ronnie. The upstairs neighbours were also really lovely whenever we ran into them. We will miss Ronnie and all his cuddles!
Lauren's home is a lovely appointed 2 bedroom with a pretty wooded view off of her balcony in a wonderful location right near the trail head that leads to Barton Springs. She has two adorable dogs who are very loving and playful and very well behaved. I visited my daughter who met Lauren and agreed to pet sit, and my daughter said Lauren was a really gracious and sweet lady. We truly enjoyed our time at Laurens tremendously. I would recommend her place and pups to anyone who loves dogs and the beautiful trails of Austin.
We have left our hearts in Santa Catalina with Banuwa and Barnaby, having been beagle owners in the past it was a treat having the boys in our lives for a month. Banuwa is a sensitive wee guy who definitely loves his cuddles where as Barnaby is very chilled with a hint of being a bit of a dude. Every morning they were always waiting at our bedroom door waiting for cuddles and morning walk. Palma is very walkable with lots of of spots to explore with the dogs which they always enjoyed. Cobweb the cat was very sweet who always appeared looking for cuddles the moment you came home along with an evening brush. Joey the hamster was a new pet for me to care for, but after a couple of days he was happy for me to pick him up for daily cuddles and chats. The garden was also quite special which we always had breakfast in. As we were there during some very hot weather it did require daily attention. Iain and Claire's home was in an amazing location only a few seconds from the local food market where I spent a lot of my pocket money. There are bars, cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk along with shops and supermarkets it cant get better than this. We meet Iain and Clair prior to them leaving and wished we could have spent more time in their company, they were very friendly and caring along with providing clear instructions on the house and pets. This is a very special housesit.
