Getting this pet sit was a stroke of luck, because one of my pet sits was cancelled with just a few days’ notice. I immediately applied and Firen chose me. And I'm so thankful she did. Her home is amazing and in a great part of San Francisco for sun and culture. I love to walk, and the area provides great opportunities through quintessential San Francisco neighborhoods, Noe Valley, and a local green space. But the best part is her two kitties, Cleo and Obob. They are the sweetest kitties and a delight to spend time with. Obob loves everyone and is super cuddly. I was told Cleo can be standoffish - but we bonded immediately, and she even slept with me two nights. I miss them. Firen was very clear on how to take care of the kitties and it's all super simple. I would return to spend time with Cleo and Obob in a heartbeat.
We really enjoyed looking after Debbie and David’s home! Such a beautiful and peaceful house to spend time in. Hatton is delightful, such a sweet dog and very well behaved. He was very content to spend time with us. He is energetic on the lead, so you will need to match his exuberance! We enjoyed tripping into Petersfield on the local bus for the Saturday market and walking to South Harting for church and the pub. Debbie was very communicative and was so kind to pick us up on the day we arrived. Cannot recommend this house sit enough!
Liz met Mark and I outside the main railway station in Hamburg and travelled with us back to her lovely apartment to the West of the city. This really helped us familiarise ourselves with the area and local transport systems. Once we arrived we met beautiful Lucy, who is such a friendly, affectionate cat. During our stay she would never fail to join us whenever possible in order to curl up on our laps for strokes and extra sleep! Lucy adores food and would always gravitate to the kitchen if we were preparing a meal. She wasn’t too bothered whether it was hers or ours, and absolutely loved getting occasional extra treats. She also made us laugh when, for no obvious reason, she would occasionally go into ‘zoomie’ mode and hurtle round the apartment for a few minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed our time looking after her and were sad when we had to leave. Liz’s apartment is situated in a lovely, peaceful area and we enjoyed many long walks, both to nearby towns and through the beautiful Wittenbergen Nature Reserve, which is a few minutes away, and down onto the banks of the River Elbe. Liz was a fabulous host and left a comprehensive welcome pack for us, as well as being available anytime should we have needed to get in touch. She made our stay very enjoyable. We would highly recommended this wonderful sit.
Lisa and Andy were such wonderful hosts! They were so kind and hospitable. They made sure we knew where everything was. Their house was cozy and clean, and they made sure we had everything we needed. If we had any questions they answered them promptly. Their neighborhood is safe and we felt at home. We also loved getting to spend time with Millie and Sarah too, such sweet girls! We highly recommend them for any house sits and hope to care for them again!
We couldn't have asked for a better housesitting experience; wonderful home, area and of course, Jordan. Such a sweet boy, comfortable with people and so becomes your best friend really quickly, it was a pleasure exploring all the local walks with him (with great recs from Paul and Sophia). Sophia and Paul were super helpful and the house is well set up for guests, responsive and good communication for any questions and concerns. Best suited to active people looking to make the most of the Squamish area, but anyone would be lucky to sit here 😊
What a great sit location. The dogs are friendly, cuddly and obedient. Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. The made sure we were well looked after during, before and after the sit. The home is beautiful and the views are fantastic. Great neighbors also to lend assistance if needed. Everything you would want in a sit. Thanks Don and Penny.
