I watched over Lena’s cat Rowan for about a month, and it was nothing short of delightful. Rowan is the type of cat where you must follow her lead, but with patience and time she will warm up. By the end of my visit we were attached at the hip. :) Lena was a very gracious and communicative host, and her place was absolutely charming. A wonderful experience overall!
From the moment we met Rob, Cindy, Boris and Oscar we knew it was going to be fabulous. When we met everyone to do do the handover there was such a great energy and we had quite the giggle! Rob and Cindy are a warm, fun couple with a fabulous sense of humour and very kind. The house and location is beautiful with some walks right on the doorstep. It is very remote so a car is essential but fortunately only a 10 min walk to a great little pub where we enjoyed several rather lovely lunches. Of course Boris was the star of the show though and gave us no end of entertainment. He is such a wonderful 'companion 'dog, he just loves being with you and would always sit in the middle of us. He thoroughly enjoyed going to work with me and meeting my colleagues who all absolutely adored him and are now gutted that he won't be a fixed feature in the office! Oscar was stunning and the most gentle of cats. He was quite the chatterbox and would always announce his arrival. I would always invite him to join us when we fed the chickens and he would follow us down the garden at a very leisurely pace. He absolutely loved being stroked and he had the softest velvet fur, we were totally smitten, especially when he looked at you with those dazzling blue eyes! We absolutely loved this sit and are really grateful for the wonderful experience. We simply can't recommend this sit more highly.

Paul and Sally were so helpful with explaining everything to me and everything about Piper. Piper is so sweet and precious. She loves to play and definitely loves to rest by the big family room windows. We spent a lot of time together there, since the rain prevented us from going outdoors. She would bark here and there, but whenever I said, "No Piper," she would stop and look at me with the cutest look. It was hard to resist her. I have to admit I spoiled her a bit with her doggy treats. The home is clean and comfortable. Easy to find everything in the kitchen when cooking. When I had any questions, Paul responded immediately. I definitely recommend this pet sit, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Spending time with Lightning and Katniss was amazing. I never got to experience being around Bengal cats and it was so much fun. They are so much different than your average domestic house-cats. These two kitties will keep you entertained for hours and I found they were more like toddlers than cats as they are so curious about everything and love to play. Lightning loves to play fetch and yes he will actually bring his toy mouse back to you, he’s affectionate and likes to sleep with you at night but is also pretty independent. Katniss will always welcome your affection and is such a sweetheart. I actually teared up when I had to leave these two because you just can’t but fall in love with them. Lisa’s hospitality is unmatched as she gave me tons of references of things to do in town and around the area. She’s a very sweet woman and super welcoming. I had an absolute blast here and would highly recommend this housesit to anyone.
Sitting for Shelby was a wonderful experience. She is such a sweet, intelligent dog. I miss her already! Susan and Tom are warm and welcoming. Their home is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The backyard was so relaxing and peaceful. I was able to work virtually, enjoy their home and Shelby's companionship. A lovely guestroom with comfortable bed was a great bonus. Their tree-lined neighborhood is safe and comfortable for Shelby's daily walks. There is also an awesome greenbelt that is accessible from their neighborhood. I highly recommend sitting for Shelby and hope to be invited to care for her again. Thanks Susan and Tom!
