Christine
From the moment I began messaging back and forth with Christine (Chris), I knew we would be longtime friends.

As she needed someone for a shorter term sit and no one had applied, I offered to do this sit for her and leave my partner behind as he continued to do our first sit in the UK.

What a gift that kept on giving; Chris is a gem beyond words. Chris offered to pay for the train from/back to Salisbury and also offered the same for my son Cullen. Within days, my tickets were hand delivered to our door by courier inside the most beautiful hand painted card with not only all directions and information on how to get to her place, but also a loving message of gratitude as well.

Our trip across the bottom end of the UK, including riding the tube across London, was outstanding and she was in Norwich to pick us up to take us to her most comfortable home in Gimingham, Norwich (pronounced like porridge, in case you don't know 😉).

Chris and Simon welcomed us, (their two sweet dogs Coza and Zula) along with a gourmet meal that was out of this world. I knew the entire meeting was divinely guided when she started to prepare a dessert like my mother Ramona used to make. I had landed in heaven and I got to share the whole experience with my son Cullen.

The following day, Chris rented me a car as it's more dangerous to try to walk the dogs on the narrow roads that they have there. Hey, they were putting a Canadian girl behind the wheel of a manual car, on the other (left) side of the road. Oh heavens! She gave me my first lesson home on driving in a completely new way. Shortly afterwards, they left for their trip.

The whole driving (on the non-right side of the road) experience was so nerve wracking the first day, but when I went out the next day with the dogs, I drove like a champ.

Each day we took the dogs for the loveliest long walks to the beach nearby their home. The weather was warm and sunny and I was wearing a tank top in October.

Cullen regularly fed the dogs, looked after the afternoon duties with the chickens, and constantly threw or kicked the ball for Coza who is a real tease and joy to be with. Zula would wait for her turn, blind and all, to have Cullen bounce the ball for her, to return it perfectly for another go. You wouldn't believe how incredible this little dog is, without the use of her eyes, and she is most happy with her blue ball always in her mouth.

Chris and Simon left us a full fridge to enjoy and a warm and cozy place to lay our heads. My bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had my own bathroom with warm shower. Cullen had his own annex around the garden courtyard that gave him the independence he loves. Their neighbour, Cindy, came over every day with her two dogs at 4:30 pm to take us for our second round of walks to the beach or to explore the most beautiful forest. She was a delight. One morning after talking to my son about clotted cream, she showed up to deliver us a fresh scone with clotted cream just so we could try it for the first time. I hadn't seen my son smile as much as he did over these six short days.

When Chris and Simon returned from their adventure to Dubrovnik, Croatia, we all got to spend the night together sharing stories and a few good games of dice. It was so enjoyable.

The next day, Chris insisted on cooking us a full English breakfast before taking us back to the train station. Delicious!

Cullen forgot his headphones in the rental car and Chris retrieved them and quickly put them into the mail so that he would have them for his very own first sit with another future Housesitter host of mine.

What a blessing Chris is; I can't say enough!

This has been my favourite sit by far, and I highly recommend sitting for Chris, Simon, Coza and Zula. They are the most generous and beautiful people you will meet.

We wanted to come on this adventure to the UK in order to meet loving people and serve them and their beloved pets while they were away. We hit the jackpot with Chris and Simon.

Chris and Simon, thank you so much for everything. We will always remember this experience with great fondness.
With much love and gratitude,
Bobbi and Cullen

Vivien and her family including her lovely dog Daphne were such a wonderful people(dog)!
I really enjoyed staying at their house for a week.
Daphne is very smart dog, no barking nor biting.
My little daughter loved Daphne so much because Daphne was so sweet to children as well.
We enjoyed fetching like thousands times! Daphne is really good at fetching!
I also enjoyed watering for their large garden. There are many beautiful flowers and trees which were rare for foreigners like me.
And their house is really large and ideal place to stay.
We could easily access to the city center by bus.
Thanks to them, we could visit Blenheim palace, and it was so beautiful.
I wish we had more time there!
I really appreciate their kindness. They took us for a lunch after they came back from holiday.
I hope we can meet someday again!
